The results have been announced so I can share this! I entered the coloring book contest for this year's Resin Rose BJD Expo... and won! I'm so excited and surprised and happy, especially because I haven't been able to finish much these past few years because of my arm. I hope it's fun to color. 💕

I recently binge-read all of the Stariel series by AJ Lancaster (which are REALLY enjoyable gaslamp fantasy books with FAIRY NONSENSE, my favorite kind). So have this portrait of the main character Hetta! I'm still sort of figuring out her face, and also how to draw that late Edwardian/Titanic-era Lewk. (This is the Earth equivalent I've settled on in my heart, anyway, due to relatively common car presence but no radios.)

This is ALSO something from the train—well, the sketch is anyway. I decided to color it when I got home because it's been so long since I've colored anything. Stretching those art muscles, trying to find the joy of it again. Also I had Slow Life stuck in my head and still do, please send help.

A couple of sketches from a recent trip to Portland. Trying to draw on the train was honestly a very helpful exercise (almost typed sexercise) in not keeping such a death grip on my pen, which has absolutely been causing me issues.

As always, Des is Graf's mams and I took massive liberties with his scars based mostly on whim.

I was feral about these two from basically the moment Cyprian showed up in A Fashionable Indulgence, and when I got to their book I was INCREDIBLY REWARDED. I like weaselly gingers, what can I say?? It was a library book, but I might have to buy my own copy to keep. I have a disease.

I wanted to do a little portrait painting, and while thinking about what to paint I realized I've... never painted Tom! Which is a criminal crime, obviously, that I have now atoned for. This didn't scan that well, but I'm still really happy with it. (Tom is @hargraf's delightful weasel.)

Aurandi, Aurandi, Aurandi! We just finished a really good drama (General and I) that was VERY GOOD inspiration for these two. (And great in general, please everyone watch it, I was so delighted by everything about it!!)
