What if.... Arcane "AU"?

not so much an AU as it is just the idea of what if this one pair of siblings I love was in the role of another pair of siblings that I love. Though I suppose that is the beauty of an AU, it doesn't have to make sense. obviously we got the Tarrons as Vi and Jinx but I dunno who anyone else would be. But I'm back in my Arcane phase so they've been on my mind a lot. Hence, the crossover no one asked for or wanted but I made anyways.

Just in case Trump wins:

right after Trump was elected in 2016, suicidality skyrocketed. If you’re considering suicide in the wake of the election this year, at least wait until after it’s absolutely certain that he’s won - after every vote has been counted, every state certified, and maybe even after he’s been sworn in (IF he wins), just to make sure he doesn’t go to prison instead. Watch the results come in live here, but don’t obsess or let them sway your vote. (To be clear, I don’t want a single person to commit suicide over the election results, no matter what. But I know from experience that “don’t do it” is thoroughly unhelpful, so instead I’m saying at least wait.)

if you’re considering suicide because you fear worsening material conditions, you might think a hotline can’t help with that. and it’s true that they can’t change legislation or promise you’ll be safe. but it’s worth double checking whether what you’re actually hurting from is in fact unfixable. right now, just getting through the emotions can help you regain a more objective view of the situation, and then you can work on surviving it. plus, when something bad happens, we tend to vastly overestimate how bad it will seem in the future, no matter how bad it actually is.

In my experience, it might take a few tries before you find a hotline that picks up, either because they’re so busy, or they’re closed at that time, or they simply don’t serve your location or demographic, so under the thingy I’ve listed more than just the same handful that tend to show up on other websites. Even if you’re not actively suicidal, you can talk to them about your hard feelings, ask for material resources, or just vent to a compassionate listener.

Mort continues to be the ultimate dad and I'm obsessed with him.

Krel continues with his new favorite hobby of staring at glowing rocks

And Toby craves violence.

I love how this fic is split like 2 seasons with each having like 13 episodes and I love "season 1". And "season 2" is on a whole new level I love it so much.

Gonna be interesting trying to draw scenes from it.

#the most recent glowing rock in the forest was not him that's so true, both of those boys are idiots. Now I'm just imagining in an au where Mort had to raise both of them, by the time the events of the series roll around he's growing grey hairs faster than he can cover them up either through magical or actual hair dye.

I admittedly put a lot more effort into 8's art, and I think the glow effect came out pretty nice. The other 2 unfortunately got the short end of the stick this time

I love their dumb shenanigans so much. Also I don't know what the gyre looks like so take it as an "artistic interpretation".

I found the description of Krel's reaction to the gyre ride so cute. He's so happy. He deserves to be happy.

I want you to know I saw your posts (fixing to reblog them) and about started crying at work, I'm so honoured and touched 🩷🩷🩷

Hi, I'm going to cry??? You've been an inspiration to me for a long time now with the way you write and how you can really make me feel things. I've read a lot of stories both fanfiction and hardcover and I can safely say that none have made me feel the same way yours has. I've reread that original fic a few times now and every time it gets to me, chapter 16 especially (yes, I cried every time), and that's because you made me really care for these characters even more than I did from just watching the show. When I realized that it had been 5 years I thought I had to do something, put some effort into showing my love and appreciation for something you put all your effort into.

All this to say, I'm so glad you liked them, you have no idea how much that means to me

It's been an honor to follow this masterpiece for 5 years and I can't wait to see where it goes and cry about it
