it's insane to me how filled to the brim the asoiaf fandom is with terfs. When I see someone whose pfp/username seems sus or when the shinigami eyes trigger for them I check their blog and block if I see they're a terf(And this one OBVIOUSLY was cuz their blog was full of harry potter shit, but I checked further just in case and you're damn right all those hidden posts are just radfem shit she agrees with), but it's honest to god baffling how fucking often I catch these mfers reblogging and liking my asoiaf art. what the hell attracts them to asoiaf of all things. then again they think of women as ultimate victims so maybe they just like projecting themselves on the child bride even when they're grown-ass women

Just some really premature sketches but I'm forcing you all to look at them because the 1 friend I talk to about TGCF is probably asleep and also only has a vague understanding of everything the Donghua hasn't covered yet but I swear to god people are sleeping on Supreme Ghost Shi Qingxuan.

By definition she and He Xuan's originally intended fates were the opposite of one another. Thus if He Xuan would have become a god, Qingxuan would have become a ghost. And while a no-nonsense but altogether law-abiding and fair civil god He Xuan is easy enough to picture, it's SO fun to imagine what a Supreme Qingxuan would look like. So so so fun. Even just thinking of the name is fun. Maybe something like Shredding Sails Black Wind.

Her blueish-green color already fits perfectly with the color of spirit flames. I can imagine her having glowing eerie eyes of that color, cloudy hair that always seems to be floating, and constant laughter that's unsettling. Mostly a woman because she's formless anyway and she doesn't have Shi Wudu around to tell her to stop messing around. She'd probably be a lot like Calypso from Pirates of the Caribbean with how she acts; not particularly terrible unless you cross her, but ultimately likes doing what she wants.

I think she'd have some level of water powers because if she's a ghost, she probably holds resentment for Shi Wudu and she'd probably still be involved in him being killed. But maybe she'd be angry that he as the Water Tyrant is so famous for killing innocents, but somehow -she's- the one that people villainize. Maybe she manipulates He Xuan into being her and Hua Cheng's spy - I really think that even if she's a ghost, it may end up toxic between them, like with Calypso and Davy Jones (and boy does Davy Jones have some real He Xuan tendencies imho)

I could imagine that in this sort of AU, the 'honored wife' the ghosts talk about thinking Hua Cheng has would develop into generally held belief among everyone that he and Qingxuan are married. And Xie Lian is tries to broach the topic and Qingxuan laughs in his face about it and corrects the record because as a supreme, she'd know who Hua Cheng loves so much he'd make a giant divine statue for.

There'd also be so much for Xie Lian to have to Colombo there. Wondering what Black Winds' deal is - noticing the fan and thinking about Shi Wudu. Asking Shi Wudu if he had a wife or a sister, only to be told no, no, just a brother, Xuan-er. Then chasing the tail of He Xuan in suspicion, and further suspicion about He Xuan being fake when he finds out he has the same name and date of birth as this dead Xuan-er. And then in the midst of Black Winds facing off against Shi Wudu, she drops the 'disguise' and 'Qingxuan, you're alive?' 'I'm dead!'

I think even in this sort of state though, she may not be able to kill him. Maybe seeing Shi Wudu a mess, both full of sorrow at seeing what he became and gratefulness at seeing him again, just makes her all the more filled with too much to do anything but scream and cry. Maybe it's still He Xuan, under the orders of Jun Wu and filled with anger over how Qingxuan manipulated him, that kills Shi Wudu. Because some pieces of fate don't change.
