✨This really reminds me of that one teacher that cherishes her student’s hard work so much but still uses their essay paper as an example to demonstrate the mistakes to her class even though she knows the student has put so much effort into the paper.✨

No hate to Javi, I get that a lot of people are saying he had to ‘elaborate why yuzuru popped the jump because he is a sports commentator and it’s his job’ but y’all realize how exhausted mentally and physically an athlete like yuzuru who was under intense pressure 24/7 about winning a third consecutive gold must have been? Doing his best with an injury and not making excuses for the entire non asian media to slam him unnecessarily when it’s normal for athletes lose all the time? (Yes because that’s a whole other problem no one is talking about how non Asian media was trying to belittle yuzu to inflate other athletes and make it seem like yuzuru was reaching his final skating days for merely not being at his best physical status)
This guy literally performed his ass off, as he would’ve wether there was a hole or not Or wether he had an injury or not because we’ve followed him for years to know the type of athlete he is, one that doesn’t make excuses or lie about his performances. In fact I don’t remember one time where yuzu inflated his ego or praised his performances. He was always the first to say ‘I think I can do better’. That’s why he is loved by literally the entire skating community. So naturally a lot of people would be shocked that Javi went on national television to give a ‘wiki how yuzuru hanyu popped off his jump and made an excuse about an invisible hole in the ice’ with a demonstration on a skate blade and all. Like my man literally put his heart out to show everyone ‘look at how this GREAT athlete messed up’ when the most skating performances that day were messed up enough. Even the podium medalists had all made mistakes but to pick on yuzuru in specific was a low move. Like leave the kid alone he did his best and he moved on, talk about the winners and elaborate their winning points and programs don’t further bring down someone who gave his all because you are a ‘sports critique and it’s your job’ that’s just bullying. Even the best critiques had nothing to say cuz they saw how unfortunate it was but Javi knows full well he has the authority cuz he has personal acess with yuzu. That’s why I honostly think it’s such a shame.
I’ll never support sports commentators or critiques because I know how hard it is for athletes to be where they are to only be judged as ‘not performing well’. Leave them the fuck alone and just celebrate the winners, fuck it celebrate everyone who made it to the olympics all together cuz that’s some courage and hard work. That’s how sportsmanship should be.

Honestly sad hearing this from Javi knowing full on well yuzu said MULTIPLE times that there was no excuse for his mistake and actually didn’t blame it on ‘the hole in the ice’ he merely stated that it bothered him. Yuzu literally said on multiple interviews after the performance that he’d like to move forward and not make excuses and here comes sir Javi saying yuzu ‘complained’ and is making excuses for ‘something that could happen to anyone’ ????
Not even to mention that ACTUAL BIG ASS HOLE ON THE ICE we all saw in the pictures but I mean if he doesn’t believe that then we won’t even.
What. A. Shame.
i have no time or energy for the javi drama about to happen, so i won’t elaborate tonight. not sure if i even want to. this kind of shitty move doesn’t deserve me having feelings towards it.
read below, and do prioritize your mental health please. these past days have been very emotional and very challenging for so many, i know, do not waste any more on matters/people who don’t deserve it. vid in the source.

Now I’m glad yuzuru is speaking out on how PROUD he is for being a figure skating king with a 2X oGM and embracing that because some Coaches have been getting a little too comfortable talking bout him with a quarter of his achievement counts.

I’m liking and reblogging every single video of Yuzu finding out his 4A was certified because I like to suffer but in a good way you know *proceeds ugly crying and smiling till my cheeks hurt*
LOOK AT HIS EYES
The surprise
The joy
And most probably the relief realizing that it wasn’t all in vain like he first believed

Now that we’ve all kind of accepted what had happened at the olympics and yuzu is doing a press conference tomorrow, I really hope he won’t be too harsh on himself.
When I saw the first practice photos I honestly went ‘wow he looks really exhausted’ but I’m new to this and just thought maybe that’s how he always looks in practice sessions. But my god the moment he stepped into the rink for his SP this boy looked DRAINED. Like the type of shit I never seen yuzu look this tired before and it hit me when I saw he was performing a 4A in his FS that he must’ve spent the past 4 or something months practicing that other than resting properly after his injuries last season.
So I Really hope he understands that he is literally challenging physics and this is not something that can be achieved by practice alone but it would take time but my man’s STILL got what he wanted, yuzu came in pyeongchang saying he wants to perform the first certified 4A at the next olympics instead of getting a medal and tHATS exactly what he got. Regardless of any score or any medal, and regardless of the landing he had, he had the guts to even practice and put his entire career on the line and that’s the bravest and biggest victory for any athlete.

I am an overly emotional unemotional clingy but distant private person who likes to overshare at any moment and I'm still trying to figure out how that works.
