it’s horrific. awful way to die. either you’re trapped with no chance of being found, air running out, everyone around you suffocating, or the hull is broken and you get turned to jelly by the crushing ocean depths. ik they’re billionaires so it’s very contentious for me. generally i prefer no one dies horrifically. like just as a fellow human being on earth. but i dont think the ultra rich ever extend that mindset to others. climate refugees. and just everything. it feels like something a greek god would do to punish them. it has a certain swagful je ne sais quoi if removed from the human suffering which billionaires have to do philosophically to maintain their positions. very haunting. the hubris of it all. old jalopy metal tube steered by a mad catz controller. to go look at the titanic. which is nothing but a rusted out metal wreck full of fish and silt. btw. the grandiosity of it is completely unrecognizable. one has to wonder what compels ppl to even look at it in the first place. like the prestige of seeing some filthy grown over shell? crazy thing to die for. very textually rich… bad way to die as a human being. great way to die as a narrative about human greed and folly i guess. good job. mission accomplished?

I've had people shaming me for wanting to leave a group chat. I've had people tell me that we would no longer be friends if I left their groupchat. We weren't even fighting, that were genuinely convinced being in that groupchat equals being friends in real life.
Happy to say we are indeed no longer friends. I don't want to be forced or manipulated into a space I don't wanna be in.
Another gentle reminder, it's okay to leave situations that make you uncomfortable, and I'm not just talking in real life. Maybe that discord server has people you don't like in it, or maybe that group chat has too many triggering conversations. It's okay to take a break, mute chats, block, and even leave places that make you uneasy.
Remember that you curate your online experience. You choose what websites to visit, what accounts to make, who to interact with or not. You do whats best for you to feel safe, and should you EVER feel the opposite, then get the hell outta there. Your mental health matters more than any discord, group chat, role play, etc...

guess what? There actually isn’t a size limit of what you can congratulate yourself for. We think we have to do something ‘extra impressive’ or ‘extraordinary’ before we can compliment ourselves, but that’s really not the case!
made some food? Well done, self. taken even just one bite? Excellent work. Put your dish away? Great job. Drank some water when you knew you were thirsty? I’m doing such a great job. congratulations doesn’t have a size limit! Compliment yourself all the time for the all the work you’re putting into being a human being — you deserve it!

i know we're all sick of self-care being a marketing tactic now, but i don't think a lot of us have any other concept of self-care beyond what companies have tried to sell us, so i thought i'd share my favorite self-care hand out

brought to you by how mad i just got at a Target ad

it's so easy to deny yourself basic things, like food and sleep, in order to punish yourself. but you deserve better. you deserve tasty foods that make you smile, to sleep in and go to bed early, to be warm and cozy. you never have to "earn" that. you deserve all of that and more just by existing. you're allowed to be kind to yourself. kindness is brave.
