Hi! Again, super grateful for all you've done for the xenoblade chronicles 3 caps, but I was wondering if you knew why some scenes were missing? Some seem to be cut short and some are just gone (eg: the baby scene, the full ending for the main characters). If it's too much effort to check, I totally understand.

With how full my google drive is getting and not sure when I'll be able to upgrade to the next tier (money sucks, man</3), I've had to really hone in what I'm going to upload so I can keep working on requests. So while I can't say for sure on most of the scenes, for XBC3, I focused mostly on close-ups, cutscenes, and not putting in scenes with repeat facial animations (Lanz and Noah especially have very similar shots with the same angle and same expresses with nothing to really differentiate between them), things like that. Since I tend to do these with the focus on RP icons instead of, say, gif makers or photoset makers, as well as money being an issue for me, I've trimmed a lot recently.

If there are any scenes you'd like to have in full, I can absolutely work on getting those for you! I apologize if this was disappointing for you, but I appreciate your patience with me taking so long to get these. Let me know if I can do anything for you!

So, dvdsoft does have a youtube downloader, too, and I use that when needed! It really neat, and can download individual videos or full playlists. There's a whole suite of programs from dvdsoft that can be really useful. Here's the link to the youtube downloader: https://www.dvdvideosoft.com/free-youtube-download-en5

But I often use videoproc (found here https://www.videoproc.com/video-converting-software/ ) for downloading videos from the internet. I find that webm is my personal favorite format for higher quality videos to extract screenshots from, but it has a wide array of options available.

I have also used the videoproc converter to extract screenshots, too, but I find it doesn't provide as much control. Like, instead of saying "Extract one screenshot every 10 frames" you have to say how many screenshots you want extracted from a video in total, which can be a tough guess. I used for the recent Resident Evil 9 trailer because the dvdsoft converter wouldn't ignore the DMCA protection on the trailer video whereas videoproc did, but I had to finagle it to figure out what was a good amount of screenshots for it. I ultimately decided on 1800 after working my way down from 2200, but even 1800 might have been too many. So it can work when needed, but I don't love it.

Outside of those two, I don't use any other programs :]

I have, but it's been buried by now! The program I use is dvdsoft video to jpg converter, which you can find here: https://www.dvdvideosoft.com/products/dvd/Free-Video-to-JPG-Converter.htm

I also use a legacy version. The new version gives you limited options on how many frames you can extract, and while extracting one screenshot every ten frames is good for a lot of projects, sometimes smaller videos, like trailers, move too quickly and you can't get good shots from it in that limited amount of space. So I like to use a legacy version, the one from 2016, which I have found here: https://free-video-to-jpg-converter.en.uptodown.com/windows/versions

That version allows you change freely how many frames pass between screenshots. Sometimes I use 4, 5, or 6 when the videos are shorter.
