"JB!? Come quick!" Phoe was shrieking at the other, her hands held out as Isis took a wobbly step.

JB came running, scared something was wrong and when she rounded the corner she froze.  Eyes wide and excited, covering her mouth as she watched her daughter trying to walk.

Jb came and sat in her husband's lap after their son had gone to bed. "I took your advice and I talked to some people at work." She took a deep breath. "What do you think of moving to upstate New York?"

"I know... but he is coming so far but his only social interaction is with adults." She sighed nuzzling into his neck. "I want him to be able to grow up atleast a little normal. As normal as being a pre teen with super powers and parents who also have powers and work for SHIELD."

“Because you both deserve it, and you have been good to me.”  JB held Isis lovingly.  “People in SHIELD are even noticing.  They say I’m more relaxed, and I seem happier since the two of you came into my life.”  JB walked over and gave Phoe and peck on the forehead.  “You give me purpose, a personal reason to come home every night and not stay at the office.”

"Girls I'm home!" JB dropped her bag at the door and looked around for Phoe and Isis.

Phoe smiled when she heard JB, calling out from the bathroom. “We’re in here, heads up we’re naked.” She was in the tub, laid back with Isis on her chest in the warm water. The infant kicking her legs to splash, quite enjoying herself in the water.

“Nonsense.” JB snorted.  “Just wait till I’m the mean daddy who won’t let her get away with everything.” JB winked.  “Because I’m going to make sure both my girls are safe and taken care of.”  She held up Isis and blew rasberries on her stomach.

"Girls I'm home!" JB dropped her bag at the door and looked around for Phoe and Isis.

JB happily took Isis and picked up a towel, wrapping their daughter in it and patting her dry. "Well I did my work and I wanted to spend more time with my family. Perks of being as fast as I am." She peppered kisses all over her daughter's face and head as she dried her off.

"About normal." JB smiled warmly. "Happy to be home." She reached over and tickled Isis's stomach a little. She never thought herself a family person, but she coudlnt imagine coming home to an empty house anymore.

JB followed the voice and smiled when she turned the corner into the bathroom. "There are my beautiful ladies." She smiled and came in, sitting down on toilet lid, watching Isis play in the water.

Not here to Arrest you (drabble/open?)

After everything that happened with the Avengers, the battle at the airport, the allegations that Steve Rogers had broken out his fellow teammates from a holding facility.  Then there was Wakanda.  The problem with Wakanda is no one had jurisdiction there, they kept things locked up tight.  It took months for the US to convince the King to allow a small, very small, group to enter to speak to the rogue heroes. Small being two, one was a lawyer who was going to “take the case” and the other was an Army Officer who specialized in behavior analysis.  

Thoroughly vetted, and inspected, they were allowed access to the royal palace, under strict watch.  The only one who seem put out was the lawyer, the Officer, Captain Fairchild, took it all in stride, respecting all wishes of her hosts.

“I wish to speak to my clients before you start interrogating them Captain.”  Typical cocky New York lawyer, too big for her Prada.

“Of course, we wouldn’t want them denied their legal right to counsel.”  The Captain nodded.
