so I challenged myself to catching the fieldlands alpha luxio before finishing rei's tutorial in my current pla playthrough. buckle in rei, every day's going to be a new wacky adventure with akari around

SOO normal about the exile part of pla actually. the way you leave the village in such a mirrored image of the way you entered. you enter walking slowly, cautious and afraid and alone. you don't know these people nor this town, and you are so scared.

when you leave, when you are forced to abandon it, people stare and whisper then too; they are afraid, wary and cautious of you, even as the echoes of what you've done for them are all around. the pokemon you brought in, that you helped them grow close to. you are leaving your home.

and then, when you go to help from the clans, as much as they want to repay you, they can't. not so directly and not so extremely. like all else, this has been a burden only you can bear, and it weighs heavy on you.

but despite that. despite that. they do not leave you hopeless.

also funnily enough drawing Rei with Mt Coronet in some dramatic way is like. my signature thing it seems, or at least a genre of my art. here's perhaps the first time I did it on a pokemagma session last year!

Rei in the Pokémon Legends: Arceus anime special

Yesterday my little brother told me something very sweet and touching, that when he was a kid and had nightmares about monsters chasing him or whatever he would be able to end the nightmare by finding me in the dream and I would protect him by fighting off the zombies, or carrying him away. This is adorable, and makes me feel like the greatest older sibling in the world, but the hilarious thing is that when I was a kid I had nightmares of needing to save him from zombies and such. so many dreams where he was in trouble and I needed to save him. Like my nightmares began where his ended. Low key I think he mastered the ability to psychically transfer his nightmare to me as a child and I'm kind of annoyed with him.
