hi I just wanted to say captain jellyfish is one my favorites of if not THE favorite, I’m trans and Mattie’s story really resonates with me, and the art is amazing. The characters are all so fun and every aspect of it was clearly made with love. I am so sorry to say this also but ‘Poppy Brine’ sounds like slang for opium. I am so sorry I really do love the comic I just haven’t been able to stop thinking that since she showed up

and for what its worth, while a do agree that all female casts in games and other art often arent done for feminist reasons, i also dont care. all male casts are done completely thoughtlessly because people dont even consider women so frankly i couldnt give a shit if an all female cast for less than perfect reasons. nobody is half as critical of all male casts.
