It's gonna be such a funny mess when Donald Trump dies of a stroke on April 1st, 2024.

Naturally everybody will think it's fake because of the date only to lose their minds (both positively and negatively based on their opinion of trump) when realizing it's real

There will be massive celebrations in the streets and on social media and lots of predictable "don't speak ill of the dead" discourse about those celebrations

Weird evangelicals will pull some weird number trick talking about how Jesus was conceived on April 1st and that makes Trump a sort of messiah and people will make fun of that

The Republicans (after they're done with the faux-sadness and faux-outrage) will stomp over each other to be his successor but none of them will succeed. They'll tear each other apart and have no single nominee for the November elections.

There will be discourse about if Biden and the living former presidents should go to his funeral (they won't, he was a traitor insurrectionist)

The Ukraine-Russia War immediately goes in favor of Ukraine as morale in the Kremlin is reduced. China similarly backs off from its threats on Taiwan.

Ten thousand new memes are made, some sticking around for years to come.

Not a month later a bunch of unofficial biographies of Trump hit the bookshelves, many with new details about just how awful he was.

Year of Hell is a great "Take That" on Ransom's No Choice justification to use aliens as fuel.

He tried to sell that if Voyager was in his place, Janeway would do the same and we've seen without a doubt what Janeway would do in a similar situation.

And she didn't resort to killing innocent beings as fuel.

She didn't brutalize another race for Voyager's own ends.

The worst part of all of this, the aliens were only introduced to Ransom and the Equinox crew because the people who worshipped the aliens helped Ransom. Fed them and helped them gain fuel stores.

What did the helpful Samaritan aliens get in return? Ransom and his crew kidnapping and brutalize the spirits the Samaritan aliens revered.

If Ransom did that to the wormhole aliens on Bajor, the ones the Bajorans revere as gods, for fuel, because he had no choice-- All of Bajor would hunt down and kill Ransom and his crew. Major Kira Nerys will be the first in line.

Back to what the Voyager crew have done to survive-- Janeway has shown time and time again how she's willing to form alliances and coalitions.

Janeway's even worse off than Ransom since she's lost the top half of her uniform and hasn't bothered putting it back on since (likely because the material felt uncomfortable to her still-healing burns).

And probably because Janeway felt guilty for how everything turned out.

In every way, Kathryn Janeway was a better Captain than Ransom.
