I think it's a bit weird for people to get on someone case for what they write. Do they cancel authors like George R.R Martin too for writing non con and incest? There are many professional authors that do that. What a person writes is not something that reflects them as a person. Who knows, it can even come from a place of trauma and the person just doesn't want to talk about it.

Its not that people arent allowed to write taboo subjects like these, but I personally believe it should be written with care and purpose, not be written or made as an indulgence. Why is it despite my discomfort for bodily harm (as having witnessed a NUMBER of accidents), I still am able to read books that have this kind of content? There is a line between writing these themes and using it as an excuse to indulge in them.

Now, I understand that people may do this as a form of trauma response, then i think i think it should also be understandable that people react to trauma differently, i myself have been sexually harassed in the past and i find writing/content like this to be distateful and triggering.

(assuming this is the same anon) Actually I think people should be able to curate their own spaces, and be allowed to block/mute/etc any content and user that makes them uncomfortable. Yes I've interacted with taq plenty, at some point I had even wanted to be friends, but the fact that they had lied to me straight up when confronted about these instead of owning up to it, was a deal breaker for me. So, this along with the fact that I really cannot tolerate non-con and incest, I just don't feel comfortable interacting with someone like that. Not telling anybody what to do as well, this is just how I handle my online spaces.🙏

I've looked into the link and yeah… man wtf that is definitely taq… thank you for this anon. it definitely stings knowing i was lied to upfront… i'm most definitely not going to be interacting anymore, nor joining any event or project involved with them after hcw

though i still think this shouldn't dampen people's love for the hcw event, it has been lovely to see all these people take comfort in the pieces of art and writing made. Again thank you for showing me this anon, and i apologize for taking this long to fully believe this.

I think the peeps doing HCW is a group of people not just one person but I think the person anon is talking abt is taq? They’re connected to an account named taqtically on twitter and taqtical on ao3 who the former account changed their username + privated their stuff, and the latter that deleted their account after someone made a post about it which was early this year. On twitter I’m pretty sure they changed their @ from taqtically to onceinamaybe which is private now but if you go to the search you’ll see they have replies from other people who ship incest (and also refer to them as taqtically). I think they deleted their works on ao3 though.

I don’t know where that post is now unfortunately because I would share it, sorry.

Anyways, I really, really don’t think HCW should be ruined because of that. It’s an event for all of the fandom to participate in if they want to. I think anon is just being a dick about it on purpose because they don’t like Caitlyn. I love you art, it’s awesome, please don’t feel discouraged by someone hiding behind anonymity to be mean and disrespectful to others. You’ve got an amazing talent and passion for it. ❤️

i've looked into it as well idk if its twitter just being shitty but most of it led to nowhere other than posts of accusations, same with the alleged a03 account. It really bothered me so i messaged taq directly about the accusations and they had denied all these. They could be lying, could be not. Admittedly i'm very divided about this and interacting with taq. Not really here to defend or cast judgement, but it's definitely more better for me to be able to message people involved upfront AND have the ability to unfollow/block without being called a bitch or being grouped with ped0s. BUT ur definitely right though it isn't just them running the show and HCW was made so we can mix up how we see caitlyn! which is why i was drawn to the event in the first place. i dont do HCW other than me, so its quite a nice bonus other people also find comfort and joy in it! hi i would like to start by apologizing as i absolutely had no idea since i could not find any info in regards to the organizer even in their page. I went into the event wanting an outlet to draw and i found that representation like this was important, especially to a lot of queer folk. with that said i would like to ask for solid proof of your claims and proof they are of the organizer of the event. i just find it extremely disgusting that instead of handing out evidence in the first place, you so kindly went to my inbox to spill out your disgusting behavior. why go anonymous? tell it to my face.
