Day 200 (Summit Day)
Holy shit! I walked here from Georgia! I walked a pittance today. A measly 5.2 miles and 4500 feet of elevation to the northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail. It has taken me 200 days and 2189.9 miles, but I am finally a thru hiker!

Day 199 (29 September 2017)
I froze last night, and saddest of all... my air mattress, which has loyally stood by me for 198 nights, is starting to leak. Good thing I only have one more night on it. I woke as soon as the sun was up and was off like a rocket. I made it to Abol camp store by 7am, and along the way I saw the best view of Mount K. Pterodactyl, Stacks and Rambo caught up. Looks like we will summit together tomorrow. We are staying at the Birches tonight. I hope it's warmer.

Day 198 (28 September 2017)
I only hiked 16 miles today. I'm staying at the Hurd Brook Lean-to. It has baseball bat floors (just round pine slats) two good things have happened today:
1. I am 3 miles from Baxter State Park
2. I saw Katahdin again
It's going to be a cold night.

Day 197 (27 September 2017)
I awoke this morning fairly early, but managed not to get out of camp until pretty late. I'm enjoying these last few days. I met a man named Miles. He's only doing the 100 mile wilderness. He seems exhausted, but happy. I hope that he sees the same thing in me. I only hiked 17 miles today. My mileage is slowly ramping down. I don't plan on climbing until the 30th. On the upside... I saw Katahdin today from Nesuntabunt Mountain. It was spectacular. I'm sleeping in a grove of dead trees and there is a storm rolling in. This could get exciting. 34 miles to go.

Day 196 (26 September 2017)
I decended from the Logan Brook Lean-to at around 8:30 this morning. The final "mountain" before Katahdin presented no challenge. It was no more than a hill. I hauled along the flatlands and managed to pull off a very respectable 19.6 miles with daylight to spare. I could finish earlier than planned, but I am going to enjoy these last few days. I'm currently camped at the edge of a large lake at the Antlers Campsite. Life has been good today, but my feet are tired.

Day 195 (25 September 2017)
The Chairback Gap Lean-to was not hospitable. The water was nasty and stagnant and there were virtually no tent sites. I left as early as possible in search of water. Today I climbed the last big mountain before Katahdin (White Cap). From it's north facing ridge I glimpsed Katahdin. It was still 72 trail miles from me and barely discernable in the haze, but it definitely stood out on the landscape. I knocked out another 17 miles today. 71.4 more to go.

Day 194 (24 September 2017)
Day 2 of the 100 mile wilderness. I woke up to the knowledge that my Bulldogs won another game. I can't wait to be able to watch one. I hiked 3 miles to trail magic at 9 this morning I ate a hamburger and hotdog. They were amazing. I managed to hike another 15.6 miles today. Two notable things happened today. I've hit my last two milestones: 2100 miles and under 100 miles. As of right now I have 88.5 miles to go.

Day 193 (23 September 2017)
Day 1 of the 100 mile wilderness. I managed to get a later than normal start due to the appearance of Sandals and Cowgirl last night. We spent the morning catching up and I finally took the shuttle to the trail head. I started hiking around noon. The 100 mile wilderness is beautiful thus far. I did have a little incident fording the Big Wilson Stream. I fell and soaked myself. Luckily my pack stayed above water. I made it to the Wilson Valley Lean-to shortly afterward. In the aftermath of the fall I realized that i lost my Ninja Turtle pin that I've been carrying almost the whole trip. Oh well, at least I'm ready for bed. 10 more miles down.

Day 192 (22 September 2017)
I camped just beyond Bald Mountain Road in a little opening in the trees. I am tired. I've traveled another 17 miles today. I crossed Pleasant Pond Mtn and Moxie Bald. I am running out of mountains to climb. I will be in Monson tomorrow. It's the last trail town before the 100 mile wilderness. I'm almost done. CNB
