Living without Drugs
Almost 70 percent of university students will have tried marijuana, half will have taken an illegal drug, nearly 40 percent will have smoked a cigarette, and more than 20 percent will have used a prescription drug for a non-medical purpose. There are many reasons adolescents use these substances, including the desire for new experiences, an attempt to deal with problems or perform better in institution, and simple peer pressure. Adolescents are “biologically wired” to seek new experiences and take risks, as well as to carve out their own identity. Trying drugs may fulfill all of these normal developmental drives, but in an unhealthy way that can have very serious long-term consequences.
I am going to tell a personal story of a persons who addict with marijuana. This marijuana addiction stories proof that people who believe they need marijuana to be happy can get along just fine without it. In fact, as these drug addiction stories show, people’s lives improve immensely once they find the help they need to put an end to their own stories of drug addiction.

Rahman had his first cigarette at age 19 and his first taste of marijuana when he was 22. Rahman says around that time, he started to hang out with people from his university who take drugs like marijuana extremely. By the year after that Rahman says he was doing ‘hard drugs.’
His first use of drugs is done by his class mate, taught how to choose good marijuana; grind them and put into paper then roll it for smoke. Some days after this incident, Rahman started himself taking drugs in a day long period. He told that “it make me feel like pleasure and set-free”.

After a while Rahman started stealing money from whomever he could; his mom, his girlfriend—just to fund his marijuana addiction. He told- “In the last three months of my use, I had been stealing whatever amount of money I thought I could get away with to buy my weed. Eventually, my mom caught onto the fact that I was not only stealing from my family but my girlfriend too (I stole from whoever gave me the opportunity).
I asked him when he runs out of marijuana what he does? He shared a story- “one of those nights hit when I ran out of pot, I went crazy. I called everyone I knew to score even a roach. I remember calling my dealer every hour on the hour to see if it had come in yet. I bought pot from people I normally wouldn’t have even talked to, much less done business with. What had happened to me? I thought I was using because I wanted to. Now I found that I was using because I had to. I had become an addict!.”

Rahman began to see the monotony of his everyday life: “Get up, go to work, come home and spend the rest of the evening stoned in front of the TV with a soda in one hand, a bag of chips in the other and the bong loaded and ready to go! This was the extent of my life.” He had enough of the monotony, of getting nowhere and doing nothing with his life. His situation on his family- “My home life was awful. I was in a constant battle with my parents and my little brother was being hurt as a result of my selfishness. I thought I was the only person in the whole world.

This young boy Rahman is now a well skilled cinematographer in Bangladesh Media Industries. Once it was his dream to become a cinematographer and now he working for his passion. Rahman recover himself by taking rehabilitation program in time of his extreme addiction on marijuana. He back from his addiction so strongly that some of his friends still smoke, but they’re cool with his recovery. Some of his other friends from before are nothing but trouble, and he don’t hang out with them anymore. Now he spends most of my time in class, working, or at home helping his family. He was working for a production house but now he is focusing on his graduation.

The realization behind give over on drugs that explained- “So many people think marijuana can’t be an addiction, but it can. Because when you smoke weed like I did, and you feel like you can’t have fun without smoking, that’s you depending on weed to have fun. And dependence on a drug, that’s addiction. My advice to other people is stick to it, you can do it! It’s not easy because when you’re in a residential program you have to be away from the people you love. But it helps you realize how important those people are, and it brings you closer to them in the long run and that’s what matters at the end of the day. I mean, yeah, you should definitely get clean for yourself. But if that’s not enough of a motivator, get clean for those who love you. I have noticed a vast improvement in my life, and it can only get better. So, if you are new, the best advice I can give you is read the literature, get a sponsor, and take a commitment. But more importantly, KEEP COMING BACK, because your life is still worth living.”

Cinematography|Extend Your Vision
In 2011, I found my passion about cinematography and Its like a drug for me now a days. My very first cinematography is on a “HI8 Handy Cam” shoot for a music video sing by my cousin. This is the starting of my cinematography journey.

After this music video I found lots of fault in my work and identify them for resolve to develop my skills. On that time learning cinematography is not so easy to access; cost was high to effort for me. In the beginning I have no financial or mental support from my family and friends for doing this job as my passion is my own power to go ahead. Few years later, when I have no clue for run ahead to cinematography, I found a friend who has a DSLR on his own. His name is Kamrul and I call him as my “Guru” for teach me how to operates a camera. Kamrul was a wedding photographer and I also go with him to the event to see how he capture image on camera, how the manual settings works and mostly what is framing. I walk for 3km every day to see how Camera is work but not in my hand practically. The reason behind walking 3km per day because my father don’t like what I am doing so he stop giving me money; not even 10 taka as a bus rent. There is no option for me without walk in the road to learn “What is Camera”.
I believe that- “If you want something truly, sacrifice yourself to get it; it will be yours.”

I operate “Panasonic 1000” on a weeding event as a camera man. It is very irritating when someone calls a cinematographer as camera man and I heard it several times.
Cinematography is all about capturing motion picture in a camera with proper lighting and framing. Any kind of motion picture required a great cinematography and a cinematographer. In a percentage, 50% of any visual production depends on cinematographer. A good cinematographers skill is control camera swiftly and framing by creatively with adjustment of good lighting. A cinematographer have must know the functional operation of a camera, color toning and focusing throw the creative frame. Basically cinematographer represents the director’s point of view including creativity of his own and presents the shot as an output within frame. What we see on any visual that is combination of directors and cinematographers view.
I severally used many camera in my 7 years cinematography age. I used HI8 Handy Cam, Panasonic 1000, Nikon D90, Canon 600D, Nikon D7100, Nikon D5100, Canon 70D,Canon 700D, HDV, Canon 6D, Canon 7D, Canon 1200D etc. There is lots of lenses out there but most effective lens is 50mm Prime, 85mm Prime,70-200mm Zoom, 11-22mm wide is best for cinematography. These lenses can gate sharper image with good color toning for capture the visuals. And most importantly what need in cinematography is your two hand, to control the camera in right way. If your hand is shaky might be get jerk footage. Try to stable your hand and do handy shots to improve your control like tripod.

Cinematography is one of the hardest job in the world. If someone does more work on it, it never frustrated you.

Explore The Video Editing
When you visualize something and capture in motion, you have to edit that visuals for a stunning view. Without video editing you can’t see the whole visualization completely. Video Editing means combine several shot one another by using transition each on the middle of shot. So after cinematography, video editing comes first to complete the visuals.
There are some common video editing software like Final Cut Pro, Adobe Primer Pro, Edius etc. These are mostly used video editing software referred by professionals. When you doing video editing you have to be patience about it because video editing remains accuracy for the work. In my experience shorter visuals make longer editing period and longer visuals need shorter editing period. Actually it depends on how you cut the shots (raff cuts) and how you want to show visual for audience. I used to do editing on Adobe Premier Pro as my comfort. It is easy to access and operation is so opened. You can find your needed tool right after your hand.

The right way to learn video editing is to spend much more time on it. Without practical experience you can’t do this properly in a way. I spend minimum 5-7 hours lengthy editorial work for a project at a time and this effort bring me a great output. After shooting, whole post production depends on editing that means the 50% of a production depends on video edit. It include sound like background music, dialogue, VFX, SFX etc.
Video editing primarily set on shooting that how the scene is joint in each other and how the transition work. In the editing panel the editor cut the scene as followed by the script and screenplay. So when doing something creative in shot, must have to determine how to edit that one on editorial panel. Also editing is a tricky work what makes sometimes more fun to do. Never fear to edit, never say I can’t.
A sentence for all- “Effort much more you can, bring a new beginning.”
