Suddenly Having to Move Sale!

Exactly what it says on the tin. Things started getting very tense with a roommate who has caused ongoing issues with the rest of us since December, and bc he has a history of this that precedes me, the complex had me come in to talk about what to do. Since they can't legally make them leave legally, the complex offered to waive my fee for transfering my lease, and offered me a unit in a far better building with less mould, less dogs frequently peeing indoors bc their owner is not responsible, and most importantly NO STAIRS INTO THE UNIT OR IN THE UNIT ITSELF. Currently I live in a unit with a porch and a basement and have days I can barely get up the stairs to eat, and I have to lift my wheelchair and walker up the stairs into the unit. This move is gonna help me out so much health wise on basically every front. Its close the main street of downtown, I will have less roommates which is better sensory wise, and all the above benefits. I will also be able to initiate the process of getting a service animal (going the owner-trained route)! To make things even better, I just got my student loans approved and FINALLY GOT APPROVED FOR DISABILITY. This means for the first time in two years, soon I will have stability, will be able to address outstandingng medical needs like my infusion treatments, getting a formal autism dx so I can get funding for a PSW as my health is making it difficult to be independent, the aforementioned service dog for cardiac, seizure alert, and DPT, as well as retrieval of items and help from other people as needed). This is all amazing, of course, but there is a slight issue; my ODSP office has no clue if they will receive my file before or after next pay period. Hence, things may be quite tight this month with some moving costs (ie getting small appliances and kitchen knives/cutting boards since I don't have my own of some of those, plus cost of transport on the days following the move due to exertion, and the tail end of my rent (as I worked a job last month that reduces my welfare check if my ODSP doesn't come in by June 1st). Being transparent, if ODSP does come in (or OSAP) eztra funds will be directed towards medical treatment costs/potential service animal costs/autism testing.

All of this is to say, I want to sell my art to feel at least a bit self sufficient! I set up an itch.io bundle for this reason and it is on sale for 35% off. The items can also be bought individually on sale!

Unfortunately I ended up stuck in the city my treatments are in for two extra days after my injections, meaning most of my rent funds and extra for treatment had to go to a room and food and transit back.

I had a post with all those updates bit I wanted to put it here as well summarized. I am basically now yet again in the position of needing to fundraise towards rent instead of treatments. I do work, and I have more work this month but freelance has proven to be a bit of a slow process being paid, so I do not wanna risk not being able to pay rent. To comfortably cover rent + expenses, I need about 250, and I would prefer to have reached that making sales of this zine than just getting funds because after a while it just feels demoralizing

Need to pay rent, Ontario Works is taking their sweet time paying me arrears they owe me

Earlier this month I was in extreme pain that made it impossible to do things as simple as walking to the bathroom at one point, and going upstairs to cook or leave the house at MOST points, so I could not put off my medical treatment in Tkarón:to when I did regain my stength a bit. I ran out of OHIP coverage for my treatments so it was 450 out of pocket but I could not function so it was needed substantially. It was worth it, but left me short for rent. This was not meant to end up being a problem, as ontario works owes me hundreds of dollars in arrears as they had been taking 50 dollars a month for small business income but I was earning next to nothing, not the 300 my prev. worker wrote down and last week told me they would be able to send it within the week. Unfortunately yestersay struck and the money was still not in my account, just my normal check with more taken off for previous overpayment (my worker sent money a month where I was getting OSAP despite me telling her). This means I am short for rent. I am about 190 dollars short of rent, but am also almost out of low-fodmap foods I can eat, so I am gonna set my goal for 260. I know that is a lot, I am sorry. Was not planning on doing this.
