so i too, am going to use this revamp to kind of change a few things about cara. 

so she’s pretty much the same personality wise, maybe a little bit deeper rooted self value problems, but they’re pretty much the same

the main thing im changing is kind of just making time pass faster? like, im gonna say she’s been in rehab for the last 30 days and she’s just gotten back.

i thought i would tag cara’s family in this cause its kind of important for her development and it might effect them idk, but basically after the carnival cara thought she could quit using drugs on her own, but she realized she can’t, so she’s gone to a 7 day detox program, so she’s gonna be away from home and out of contact for a week.

i just posted a text message starter that is something she sent out before she left so i can still do interactions for her even while she’s ‘gone’, cause i have tons of muse for her and don’t want to put her on hiatus or anything lol

cara: im so sorry i kept my problem a secret from everyone for so long. i didn't want to admit i had a problem but some things have happened in this last week to make me realize that i do. some things you know about and some things you don't, but i'll spare you all the details. the fact is, i've been a mess and if my actions hurt any of you then im sorry

cara: i'm leaving for a few days for detox, and then i'll probably do some outpatient therapy so i don't have to miss school.

Cara: i don't know what you're talking about.

“we’re all weak, cara! tat’s part of being human!” his fist balled up at his sides. “you don’t have to admit to anyone! you just tell. there’s a giant difference between the two!” his voice was quickly getting louder from the whisper he once had. “and look where pretending it wasn’t a problem led us to! i probably just broke some parole or probation i didn’t know i had because you did something stupid and nearly got yourself hurt! either way, i am probably going back to jcc because it’s hard to have self-defense with a record like mine!” his face was blood red from anger. “do you understand how fucking scared and angry i was when i saw him grab you?! you were wrong.” he ignored her final words and began to walk away from the scene. delaware couldn’t contain the anger he felt. he needed to step away from it all. 

“you’re not weak. you’re like one of the strongest people i know.” she said quietly, giving a slight shrug of her shoulders. “its not like it comes up in everyday conversation! ‘oh hi how was your day? it was fine i took some pills at lunch and the day passed quickly’ no its not something you just tell people. she moved backwars a bit as his voice got louder, shaking her head, “no, you’re not gonna go back, i’m-- i’ll tell the cops it was my fault, i’ll tell the truth, that you didn’t know what was happening and you were just defending me. if anyone needs to go to jail its me.” she wanted to tell him that she was fine, but he didn’t give her the chance as he walked away. “i’m sorry.” she called out before finally breaking down, and letting out a sob.

“which other guy?” ben grabbed his small notebook and a pen and wrote everything down that she was saying. “your brother should’ve tried words first before violence. but are you alright?”

“uh- jimmy.” she said pointing to the male seated on the other side of the area they were in still getting cleaned up. “yeah, but he didn’t know what was happening. please don’t like send him to juvie. if someone gets in trouble it should be me. and yeah, i’m fine.”
