I don't usually watch shows. but I sobbed watching the last of us show tonight and redrew a scene that I loved with pepstavo because that's just what I was inspired to do. It's very messy but it's out of my head now.

also, wow the show is good. tlou is a great game and I'm impressed with the show's depth and character additions. it's a great adaptation.

did a thing this weekend (graduated uni) so i made a pizza tower style judgement screen based on some photos i took.

this is my first pixel art in a while, and also a self portrait exercise i guess. it's not super polished but i really am happy with it

featuring bootleg Peppino plushie, aka eppino. yes i did take actual photos with him he is very important.

if the quality looks bad oh well just pretend I know what I'm doing with digital and pixel art (I don't)

thinking about starting an RPG on my PS4 to get back into video gaming beyond splatty toon...

I started Chrono cross a while back, but didn't get far...

13 sentinels has been rotting away since I got it on sale one time...

I downloaded yiik a postmodern RPG as a joke...

Not to mention the less traditional final fantasy 7 remake that I got halfway through ...

kingdom hearts is an RPG right?? cause I got kinda far in it but I don't think I'll ever be able to platinum it cause I'm garbage at it.

grahhhhh I'm just bad at the genre and it keeps me away. The only ones I can complete are just. Persona. because I know the gameplay style and it's easy on me.

maybe I'll just do a platformer again. or finally buy one shot or some other random indie... But I really really really want to finish at least one this summer.

Unrelated. my brother is getting me into stardew valley again on the switch. (I played for like. 3 seasons in 2019.) So that's fun, although I feel like I'm not playing the game right to be honest. Feels too slow and too fast at the same time . And I'm poor. so. just need to spend more time with it.

anyway back to a- hell in splatoon ranked. I'm trying to get the dread wringer badge and it is going. poorly.

a doodle comic about inferiority and fear. made in February, but I want to share it. very self-indulgent, mostly made to reassure my worries when I felt stressed.

like the last comic I made, I added alt text to help navigate the scribbling that is my handwriting and the general messiness of this whole thing.

Taking down some of my university set up today, so I figured I should share what happens to all my work doodles...

I have been hanging them up in my desk for the last two semesters! Not all of them were put up, since I'm moving out in a week, but... here's how it looks before I take them down for good. (I'll still keep them somewhere safe !)

unrelated to the doodles, here's my board setup with all my pins and other goodies. I will have nowhere to put them for a while, so that's kinda sad... hopefully I will find a place soon

A very important work doodle!

So... perhaps I shouldn't share too much personal information on here, but... I've been student teaching this semester. today I got my results back of my portfolio I've been working on all semester to become an educator. And I passed beyond what was required! So I'm actually gonna be a teacher!!!!! This is my dream come true, something the people around me never believed I would truly do.

I've grown a lot during my time at university, but I'm ready to step into a new chapter of life, and it feels incredible to know my hard work has been rewarded.

I hope I'll be able to share my joy to create with my students in my content area. I still have a long way to go to become a "great" teacher... but nobody's going to figure out the science perfectly in their first year, and it's going to take some time! But I want to do my best for my students.

It's a bit of a scary time to become a teacher, especially with the current political and educational climate we find ourselves in. But I know this profession will bring me joy.

Thank you for reading my blabbering. And thank you for enjoying my art in this time of transition. It means the world to me. I'll be posting my final round of work doodles this weekend, since my current job will be ending!!! So weird to think that ...

today is my birthday! so I doodled a carbon Kirby enjoying a cupcake. I think the party hat looks more like a traffic come than anything though, lol

also, I really love how the Nintendo Today app has a custom animation for your birthday. that's so cute!

Worked for too long last night, so I came up with an....au? crossover? crossover au???

splatoon 3: side order x pizza tower doodles

I think it would be incredibly funny if Peppino was suddenly thrust into another tower in every single parallel universe he's doomed to become a part of. so I am making him climb the spire of order too.

In this universe, Peppino takes the place of agent 8... Although it shouldn't be possible for an inkling to do so, it only proves that something is very wrong with this circumstance (a glitch in the system, if you think about it!)

Peppino probably dislikes 8's outfit greatly. It's not very comfortable and leaves you exposed. But at least the lack of color is fitting with his usual fashion sense.

His main weapon is the Order Brella - prioritizing drone and power chips. I've rambled about my weapon choices for Peppino in another post, but I still feel good about my decision for a brella.

Of course, agent 8 isn't alone in their journey. So Peppino has some company in this universe!

Brick takes the place of Acht, who hangs out in the elevator during most of the campaign. She also has her newspaper to ease the boredom.

And Gustavo takes the place of pearl, having the ability to morph into a drone at will to assist Peppino!

That's all the doodles I had for this au. But, here's a bonus of my splatoon oc Isa interacting with squidpino. They both use the same weapon so I thought it would be fun for them to meet.

the urge to write out all my splatoon oc lore is strong... perhaps one day, I'll start writing stories and sticking them on the archive. I already have some things started, but they never really get far beyond concepts. But maybe, this summer I can really dive into it... Finally get them out of my mind. Writing has been easier, especially with things I love, so perhaps now is the time.
