hot take: jude duarte is one of the best written female characters of this generation... there is not one moment where she stands down for what she believes in, (even while knowing she has feelings for cardan,) her vulnerability and feminine traits are attributes to her character, (not weaknesses, more or less motivation to become better than her peers,) and the fact that no matter what tears her down or overpowers her, she is the victor of her own battles. jude duarte is rarely saved, and braces her fears/defeats alone.
