MY BEST FRIEND RAN A D&D GAME THIS WEEKEND AND LET ME PLAY AS VANNY (Breached version) AND IT WAS AMAZING (blabbing about it under Read More)

She's a half-elf artificer (battle smith subclass) who built a steel defender she's named Sir Helpington (but you can call him 'Helpy'.) Currently, she's training in a magic college to become a better artificer. Initially, she sought out a renowned artificer she read about, but when she arrived at his workshop, she found he had passed away years ago. She doesn't remember everything that happened there??? But eventually, she returned home. Anyway, everything's fine and she doesn't have a lich locked away in her head or anything. ... /s

I now have an extensive storyline worked up about her eventually getting Ava's help to make the journey to get the lich out of her head. They adopt a boy along the way and build another mechanical bear. Normal lesbian stuff.

But during the one shot with my friend, she got possessed by the bad guy and I got to play as them/him briefly. I love playing the villain, especially since I essentially just played him as William even though that wasn't quite him. I had Vanny hand off her "save character from death" item during a moment of non-possessed lucidity so the boss wouldn't be able to use it, even though that meant she wouldn't, either. It was fantastic. 11/10 would recommend

Breached is officially off hiatus!!!

Since I'm not 100% finished writing the fic like I originally intended, we're going to do every 2 week publishing until I am, then we'll go to weekly until it's all out! Yay!

I had art planned, and it'll probably happen eventually, but I wanted to go ahead and say thank you to everyone who helped me get to this number! It's meant a lot.

As an update, I'm still writing every week. Life things have gotten a little stressful and slowed writing down, but I'm hoping most of that has smoothed out for now. I've written about 55k words since hiatus started, so not as much as I intended but it's moving along! I finally got to a scene I've had planned for like 2 years, so I'm working through it and it's a lot of fun. I probably would've finished the thing before now if Bunny hadn't ended up being a character I liked so well, but here we are.

It's been a fun journey, and I've appreciated the support I've received so far. Thank you to anyone who's read up to this point.

SYSTEM VANNY!!!!!

here’s some misc things. I’m eepyyy

I think vanessa and vanny are both artists, ness works more realistically and likes acrylic while van’s the one with the spraypaints n cartoons<3 it would loveeeee to fuck around w ink tho i think.

Vanny’s age is weird, ness was 8 when they first split and van was around 12 then but she hasn’t aged much more than 2 years. Sometimes its age changes randomly though, but it usually defaults back to 14 these days.

I think it’s easy for Greg to tell who’s fronting because ness makes an effort to have good posture (ahh the back pain demons) while vanny is a hunched over beastie (used to bunny feet also). On the flip side, vanny spends a lot more energy masking,(afteraffect of dealing with ness’s dad) at least until greg makes her a new bunny mask. It makes her feel safe.

Ness definitely fronts more often but vanny specifically avoids work and other responsibility-related things like the plague, little beast. She takes over cooking for ness tho, as long as knives aren’t involved.

Vanny knows JACK SHIT about repairing robots but she knows some coding. Ness is the tech expert of the two.
