Julia foi a primeira menina a responder ao anúncio que Cari publicou procurando por colegas de quarto. Elas se falaram ao telefone e tiveram excelentes impressões uma da outra, então era hora de se encontrarem pessoalmente, e de Julia conhecer seu possível futuro lar.

Julia was the first girl to respond to Cari's ad for roommates. They spoke on the phone and had excellent impressions of each other, so it was time to meet in person and for Julia to meet her possible future home.

O lugar estava um pouco abandonado, precisando de um pouco de carinho, mas a conexão entre elas foi imediata. Estava claro que elas se dariam muito, muito bem!

The place was a little abandoned, needed some tending, but the connection between them was instantaneous. Clearly, they were going to hit it off!

Cari tinha o dinheiro que herdou da avó e decidiu reformar a casa durante o período de férias para que estivesse tudo pronto quando as aulas delas começassem. Julia participou do projeto com sua nova amiga, dando ideias sobre as cores dos móveis e até mesmo adquirindo alguns itens de decoração para seu novo lar.

Cari had the money she inherited from her grandmother. She decided to remodel the house over the holidays so that it would be ready when classes started. Julia participated in the project with her new friend, giving her ideas about the colors of the furniture and even buying some decorative items for their new home.

Julia é dedicada às suas paixões, que envolvem manter sua cabeça e mãos ocupadas a maior parte do tempo. Vinda de uma família tradicional de Windenburg, Julia sempre foi a filha perfeita, com as notas perfeitas e o comportamento perfeito, enchendo seus pais de orgulho e recordações do crescimento da filha, que dispõe de uma parede inteira na sala de estar com suas medalhas nas Olimpíadas de Matemática, troféus do campeonato de futebol interescolar e prêmios da feira de ciências da escola. Seus pais não têm dúvidas de que a sua menina prodígio conseguirá uma bolsa de estudos para a melhor universidade do eixo Briteburry, e por isso apoiaram a sua decisão de se mudar para Britechester, onde ela poderia se dedicar aos estudos com mais determinação e sem as interferências de seus antigos amigos que, diferente dela, não estão indo a lugar algum. Um anúncio no centro universitário sobre uma casa com vagas para meninas ali mesmo, dentro do campus, parecia perfeito e Julia não pensou duas vezes antes de sair da casa dos pais para conquistar sua tão sonhada liberdade. Mas será que Julia vai conseguir atender às expectativas de sua família ou será que o fardo de ser uma boa menina a vida inteira vai despertar o lado rebelde de Julia e quebrar a imagem que seus pais têm dela?

This is Julia Ashbury. A young dreamer with a big heart and a brain not far behind! Julia is dedicated to her passions, which keep her head and hands busy most of the time. Coming from a traditional Windenburg family, Julia has always been the perfect daughter, with perfect grades and behavior, filling her parents with pride and memories of their growing daughter, who has an entire wall in their living room with her Math Olympics medals, interscholastic soccer championship trophies, and school science fair awards. Her parents have no doubt that their prodigal daughter will get a scholarship to the best university in the Briteburry axis, and have therefore supported her decision to move to Britechester, where she can devote herself to her studies with more determination and without the interference of her former friends who, unlike her, are not going anywhere. An ad in the university center about a house with vacancies for girls right there on campus seemed perfect, and Julia didn't think twice about leaving her parents' house to gain the freedom she had long been dreaming of. But will Julia be able to live up to her family's expectations, or will the burden of being a good girl all her life awaken Julia's rebellious side and shatter her parents' image of her?

Essa é Cari Blanco. A jovem nascida em Willow Creek é dotada de muita personalidade, e isso fica evidente logo à primeira vista, seja por seus cabelos coloridos, suas muitas tatuagens ou pelas roupas que usa.  Cari vem de uma família selvadoradiana e cresceu cercada de muito afeto, mas sua infância foi marcada por uma tragédia: seus pais morreram quando ela ainda era uma criança e desde então tem sido somente ela e sua abuelita, que era professora universitária em Britechester. Desde que se mudou para a casa da abuelita, Cari cresceu cercada de jovens e adultos, com pouquíssimas crianças ao redor, e acabou se acostumando a ficar sozinha por muito tempo, geralmente na biblioteca, onde poderia mergulhar em realidades diferentes da sua. Isso criou uma relação muito próxima entre Cari e os livros, que se tornaram seus melhores amigos.  Após a morte de sua abuelita, Cari herdou a casa em que ela cresceu na cidade universitária. Era hora de escrever sua própria história na universidade, então o lugar vinha bem a calhar. Cari decidiu colocar um anúncio em busca de colegas de quarto para dividirem as despesas com ela, afinal, ela não precisava de uma casa tão grande, e o escritório da avó poderia ser facilmente transformado em mais um quarto. Será que Cari vai conseguir seguir os passos de sua abuelita e construir uma carreira em Britechester ou suas tragédias familiares vão levar a melhor, fazendo dela uma pessoa soturna e solitária?

This is Cari Blanco. This young Willow Creek native has a lot of personality, and it's obvious at first glance, whether it's her colorful hair, her many tattoos, or the clothes she wears. Cari comes from a Selvadorian family and was raised with a lot of love, but her childhood was marked by tragedy: her parents died when she was a child, and since then it has been just her and her abuelita, who was a university professor in Britechester. Since moving in with her abuelita, Cari grew up surrounded by young people and adults, with very few children around, and eventually got used to being alone for long periods of time, usually in the library, where she could immerse herself in realities different from her own. This created a very close relationship between Cari and the books that became her best friends. After her abuelita died, Cari inherited the house on the university campus. It was time to write her own story at the university, so the place came in handy. Cari decided to place an ad to find roommates to share the expenses, after all, she didn't need such a big house, and her abuelita's office could easily be converted into another room. Will Cari be able to follow in her abuelita's footsteps and build a career in Britechester, or will her family tragedies get the better of her and leave her a gloomy, lonely person?
