loss/grief is a weird thing isn’t it. i couldn’t write for months because i had no strength to do anything that once brought me joy, i was just living on autopilot for a while there. good thing i had a bunch of people (and professional help thanks to my psychologist) that helped me get back on track so i can write gay fanfiction about formula 1 drivers

okay so there are lando to redbull whispers now. and do i think that will happen? absolutly not. but now just imagine for a second: lando going to redbull and mclaren getting carlos back. and now imagine oscars face when finding out about it

I've just been digging around motorsports dot com's take on Carlos and Charles "disagreeing" on whether they've cleared up the Sprint incident or not, and I might be dipping my toes into speculation here but I think this is a rare case where it showcases the differences in how Carlos and Charles approach conflict resolution and define "talking about it."
From what Nicholas Todt said (lol) we can infer they probably did talk after Sprint, but it probably wasn't more than a few words, given the short time between Sprint and Qualifying.
This is where the difference in interpretation comes in:
Charles knows Carlos has apologised and they have no problems, and he's always been level-headed post race, so he says "Yes, it is all done and all good, no problems." In short, we both are okay about it, so I don't see any problems.
Now, it's not as if Carlos is saying they didn't have a short conversation when he says "The reality is we didn't manage to talk". But they didn't have time after the sprint to have a full debrief and go into the damage he took from Fernando before the incident and the subsequent lack of grip he had from there on after. He did apologise for his part in the move in the corner, but they hadn't had time to fully analyse it. So, we are both okay about it, but we haven't talked about it.
So it's not like they're beefing. It's just that to Charles, "We have talked about it" = "We both feel good about it now", while to Carlos, "We have talked about it" = "We have discussed what happened and all its factors at length."
They're both good about it. It's just that Carlos has always been one to like to explain and discuss things in-depth, and Charles has always been the easygoing friend and teammate that is happy as long as both sides agree they have no problem with each other.

im going to teach you guys some old school tumblr etiquette: if you are going to tag something like ‘#anti driver x’ you don’t need to also add the tags ‘#driver x first and last name’ ‘#driver x first middle and last name’ ???

to clarify: f1 sprint races are real and serious to me if a driver i like wins, they’re meaningless and unimportant if a driver i hate wins

ferrari doesnt let them race bc the spaniard is a headcase who'll crash them both out which isnt great if you want points. It'll be great for me personally and a much more entertaining sport, but I get it from a team perspective.
they also didn't let them race in japan because it wouldn't have made sense - by the time charles got close enough to fight, carlos was faster (new tyres), and they wouldn't have wanted charles to potentially lose a place fighting carlos when they could bring it home safely.
they didn't have them fight in australia because they didn't want to take any risks. i don't think it was specifically a carlos thing. they just didn't want to risk anything by letting them race. weird to call him a "headcase" just because he's doing his job - racing. albeit kind of stupidly but still.

also. it would benefit the sport greatly if sainz and leclerc got into a massive fight off track and started driving like theyre allowed to openly hate each other for solely racing related reasons bc see that contact. that was subconscious hatred surfacing. they can be buddies in december i dont really care just dont be boring now
