I had hoped that Carlos would have his eyes opened and learn to distance himself from Leclerc after the move to Williams, but for whatever reason, Carlos seems to almost want to seek his approval? I just remember his tentative approach to Charles when they encountered each other backstage at the F1-75 event. One thing that bothers me is that I don’t like the idea of people laughing at Carlos and it’s pretty obvious that Charles and his entourage, including Pierre, have done a lot of that over the years. Just remember that Charles was comfortable enough to leave in his friend making fun of Carlos (with the rest of them laughing along) in one of his vlogs last year. Nothing good can come out of such toxicity, but like you said, Carlos is a grown man, so…🤷‍♀️

I don't think he is seeking his approval. He has just become very attached to him over the past four years. Ferrari was his dream, and Leclerc represented that dream. Just as he still holds on to the love he had for Ferrari, he is doing the same with Leclerc. He is a mature person who knows how to separate his personal and professional lives. To him, whatever happened between him and Leclerc was purely professional rivalry, nothing personal. He chooses to hold on to the positives in life. He has a big heart you know.

As for them laughing at Carlos, I’m pretty sure it’s happened quite a few times, and we’ve even seen proof of it. Leclerc told Pierre about Lewis joining Ferrari well before Carlos knew, just so Pierre could have a shot at the merc seat. So much for the idea that poor Leclerc isn’t allowed to share sensitive information 🥰 He clearly can, he just chose to share it with someone he actually cares about.

Honestly, the laughing doesn’t bother me, because who are they to laugh at Carlos? 😭 Pierre, that bald french idiot, and Leclerc’s misogynistic, jobless friends are a joke themselves. If anything, their behavior just shows their jealousy - including Leclerc’s. And it probably doesn’t bother Carlos, because he has nothing to be insecure about.

This is why I really want Carlos and Alex to click. I know Williams looks like a mess right now, but the last race showed some promise. This could be the team Carlos stays with for the long term, a team where he could win races and maybe even fight for championships if they keep progressing like this. And he needs to get closer to Alex so he can finally move on from his nostalgic feeling for his ex teammate

Anon, I won’t be posting that because I don’t like mentioning people by name from Twitter here. But I get what you mean. They’re unintentionally exposing that stale ship, but don’t seem to see anything wrong with it.

The videos from the premiere were honestly uncomfortable to watch, especially the one with Pierre, Leclerc, and their girlfriends. Pierre definitely didn’t look happy when Carlos joined their conversation, and Leclerc’s fake enthusiasm was also very obvious. You’re also right about the whole fake excitement thing. You know when someone’s clearly pretending to be excited to see you? That’s exactly how he comes across.

Not once have I seen him approach Carlos on his own. It’s always Carlos going up to him, otherwise he just keeps himself busy with whoever he's talking to, without even sparing Carlos a glance. And it’s not like he’s shy. He approaches the other drivers just fine. But unless Carlos makes the effort, he never bothers.

It was very obvious at the premiere. But hey at least he pretends to be excited for wtv reason, and is not a complete asshole to him. But if he wants to get rid of Carlos' unwelcomed attention, he should consider being an asshole but he likes attention too much to do that.

I didn’t notice Carlos standing alone in the McLaren video, but you're right. My poor guy looked left out - with everyone there with their girlfriends, plus his hesitation to approach people. But the minute Lando arrived, they were attached at the hip 🥰

At the end of the day, he's a grown man. I can't tell him who to be friends with. I can only give my opinion based on what I see. Whether he keeps trying to maintain that one-sided friendship or decides to give up is entirely up to him.

And Charles himself fed into that victim complex and sense of entitlement that his fans run deluded with - all victories and achievements in Ferrari were his to achieve and if Carlos did better, it meant it was stolen from Charles somehow. Remember how Charles’ driving coach Jock Clear gave that interview a year after Singapore ‘23 talking about how hurt Charles was and how he felt like Carlos “just snatched the win from under his nose” implying that Carlos stole that win. Then Charles’ assistant/friend Joris liked an insta post quoting that interview. For his entourage to still be crying in the media a year later tells it all about what Charles must’ve been saying behind closed doors. Let’s be real, though, Ricky wasn’t even initially aware of what Carlos was doing when he came up with the winning strategy, do we really think Charles could’ve pulled off the same?

You know what the stupid thing is? I’ve seen both Lando and Oscar fans using the C2 partnership to argue their side about how unfair it is to build a car around the “slower” driver due to favouritism and politics with Carlos being the scapegoat as usual. I’ve always known most Piastri fans hate Carlos, but you can imagine my shock to start seeing a bunch of Lando fans saying they now sympathize with what Charles went through with Carlos and how unfair those 4 yrs were…then lecfosi chiming in with how “we tried to tell you all, but glad you see the light now.”🙄 I guess Carlos has just turned into this convenient scapegoat for everyone in f1.

I have seen that nasty bunch of Lando fans and can only shake my head in pity. After Carlos left Ferrari, the lecfosi, although still obsessed with him, have shifted most of their hate toward Lando. Last year, they teamed up with Verstappen fans to direct hate at Lando, and this year they joined Piastri fans to do the same. Leclerc himself has no love for Lando either. So if some of Lando’s fans are sucking up to lecfosi and leclerc and hating the one person who has always supported Lando, and the said person's fans who never joined the hate and instead defended him, then that's their loss, not ours.

Whatever some lando or piastri fans think of him does not matter anymore. He is no longer in ferrari. Carlos is one of the most loved drivers among real fans, cults can respectfully fuck off.

What’s the excuse for the sf-25 if Carlos’ feedback supposedly results in uncompetitive cars? He was cut out of development meetings and related sim work very early on last year, which lecfosi bragged about at the time, that finally Charles would be able to tailor the car to his liking. Fred also boasted about it being 99% different from the sf-24.

He did tailor the car to his liking 😹 it just isn't a good one, and I'm not surprised. They were still blaming Carlos for 2025 car until Carlos cleared up that he has nothing to do with it. Now that they can't blame Carlos, and lewis is still new in the team, they brought back the Ferrari is wasting leclerc's prime years agenda.

Do you have any idea or speculations on why the f1 account seems to deliberately ignore Carlos at times? Because what the twitter account did during the movie event was very obvious and strange when he was the only driver to not get a solo post. Who knows, maybe you’re right about one of the admins having beef with him, but this has been going on for years now. They also periodically omit him from their results posts too, like one of the times he qualified P6 this season, they left him out of their summary post reporting the top ten. Just such unprofessional and biased behaviour all around and you can’t bring anything up without being called a crying Sainz fan girl.

It's honestly very strange. Sometimes they act like a Carlos fan page, but then suddenly he's completely left out of everything, almost like someone is deliberately excluding him. If the behavior were consistent, we could easily assume they just dislike him. But it's so hot and cold, which makes it really confusing.

The theory about the admin might be true - maybe they have had the same ones for years. But that still does not explain the way he's treated during race weekends, even going back to his McLaren days. No screen time for his car at all. I really wonder why. I mean right now his car isn't doing much but back then he would get a podium in the tractor and still no screen time. Did you see the aramco power rankings? He is left out of that too. I don't know about the past but maybe he is treated like this recently because of his father ?
