People have talked a lot about how Spamton wanting to "get big" has to do with breaking free of the game, breaking into reality. In Chapter 3 we have an example of Kris being big, at least in relation to the inhabitants of the Shadow Mantle game.

I think the Shadow Mantle game from chapter 3 has something to do with Kris' past (not just the ch 2 weird route).
1. This door sure looks like a red horn headband, like what Toriel mentions Kris wearing as a kid.
2. The game involves these light world trees and the shelter key. And it's known that Kris has some kind of connection with the shelter from the kids at the end of chapter 2.
3. Seam is the one who makes you aware of it and seemingly had it in their possession before it was stolen. And Seam is seen drawn on Asriel's computer.
