I was translating something for a thing I have been hired as a translator for today, and I had a moment where I thought about how all language is kind of a dance between sentiments. Because even if two people know the same exact words, there’s always a chance that a different unconscious connection to those words may be there that could change the meaning in a way that is not entirely un-present but not entirely present either, and with any word really.
