I love this city despite its now halfway modernized big-box store identity. I love the memories I’ve made here: from falling in love to getting married to finding my best friends and discovering my identity.

The city has changed so much, especially according to my mother-in-law. I agree, there are a lot of differences from twenty years ago, but then at the same time there are a lot of differences in my life as well.

Signs and outposts like this one though remind me that we can change like a city does but still hold true some of the original things that make us who we are.
