OUR SPACE IS AVAILABLE FOR USE
CDA would love to host classes or small group experiences at our space during the evenings and most weekends. There will be a nominal fee to rent the space and our students, parents, caregivers, and friends may even be interested in participating. If you want to use our space or if you know someone who would be interested, please e-mail us.

CDA's Monthly Meetups
In March, Casa di Amici began hosting a monthly meetup one Saturday a month for anyone interested in joining and having a great time. In March, we made St. Patrick's Day succulent pots! We have had the pleasure of having volunteers from Sprites, a local mother daughter philanthropic organization, Jen Furlong, as well as volunteers from American Heritage Girls come to support our events. Thank you to Emily, Shaelyn, Nevaeh, Avalon and Savannah for donating their time and smiles. It is hard to tell who enjoys themselves more, the volunteers or the attendees!

GRANT WINNERS! CDA applied for a grant with the Foundation for Developmental Disabilities (FDD) whose mission is to generate and distribute funds to innovative programs that enhance the quality of life for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDDs) in San Diego and Imperial Counties. Our grant request was to promote socialization with peers through our monthly social meetups and our dance planned for the spring. We are excited to announce we were awarded $5,000 thanks to the help of our grant writer, Karen Ellison, and editor, Kara Ellison. We can't thank FDD enough for supporting us in our mission!

WE HAVE EXPANDED!

We previously were sharing our new space with another local service provider, but we are excited to announce that as of June 1st, we have be taken over the space completely! We are excited to have this extra room to grow. We are looking for a few new items such as office chairs (not folding chairs) and a toaster oven if you have any extras at home that you would like to donate.
