One of the things I love about Ema is that she's a science character but she's not written as super smart, in 1-5 she's knowledgeable but not unusually so for an enthusiastic teenager and in Apollo Justice she didn't pass the forensics exam first time. I feel like it's so rare to see science oriented characters who have to work at it but are willing to do so because they're passionate, rather than being into science because they're a genius and understand it all without even trying.

It is absolutely hilarious to me that, like Detective Gumshoe/Itonokogiri is the one AA Main Character with basically no concept art.

I mean there's that one very early piece with that Hot Detective Lady

And that's all it took! The Gumshoe was Created! No need for like three dozen more iterations on the design, they just got it Perfect the first time around!

I couldn't get the idea out of my head, so I made a quick drawing of a 40-50ish Mia.

idk, I was just thinking about how she died so young...and how Maya is already older than her in the current aa timeline :(

I never see people draw her older. I'm sure I'm far from the first, it's just not something I've personally seen yet. I wanted to see a happy older Mia, so I drew that.

The text. I also dont know. It just felt right.

I'm imagining she's visiting Maya in her dreams, and this is what Maya dreams of her looking like. A version of her that got to see Maya and pearl grow up, to be there with Diego, to simply be there for the people she cares about and that care about her.

look. sometimes I just start drawing and don't think too hard about it. sometimes I draw my idea and figure out the context later. It's 9 am and I haven't slept so idek if my sentences sound ok.

Reasonable assumption: Ace Attorney being an anime-style setting, having colours of hair that are impossible in our world is perfectly natural in theirs, and grey hair runs in Edgeworth's family.

Fun headcanon: Edgeworth was actually born with black hair and just went fully grey by the time he finished kindergarten.
