Just a friendly reminder... Cosplay is NOT consent!

While I have not had too many bad/uncomfortable experiences in the cosplay community (yet...), Friends of mine have, and it's not okay. Underneath the costumes, wigs And makeup, we are still people, and I feel like some tend to forget that. We do not *owe* anyone anything because of what we do. Cosplay is meant to be fun, and when someone is living in fear of posting something online or going to a convention, it's not fun anymore.

To sum this post up (even though it's not really that long)...

Don't be a creep. Be respectful. It's really not that hard.

Progress!

I've been making slow progress on my new deep aqua mirror... it's been a learning experience, but I'm enjoying it!

Finally got my Blake cosplay in! It's so pretty! This might be the one that kills me though because it gets really hot really fast 😂😂

Progress on my new deep aqua mirror for my Sailor Neptune cosplay :) I used a hand mirror that I found at the dollar store and initially covered it in paper mache, but that ended up cracking and looking really gross, so I covered it with a layer of masking tape and added a layer of mod podge (that step isn't pictured yet). I'm just kind of winging this project and making it up as I go, honestly. My next step will most likely be to add more mod podge if needed, then paint it and cut the decorative details out of craft foam, seal and paint them and glue them to the mirror :)

Hi friends :) I'm Casey, and I'm a 29 year old cosplayer from beautiful Colorado. I've been cosplaying since 2011, and I think I've improved a lot since then, though I have yet to make my own costumes. My favorite character to cosplay is Sailor Mars, because I relate to her so much. I go to conventions primarily in Colorado springs/Denver, but hope to venture out other places in the next few years.
