The new album 'Sending Up Flares' was released by Fluff & Gravy Records last Fall and the response has been fantastic. There were joyous shows opening and singing with The Indigo Girls, a West Coast band run, a UK tour with Jerry Joseph, & solo performances in the NE and NW of the USA. The album is still fresh and there's much more ahead. Starting with these TOURDATES! xoxo, CN

NEW SINGLE! “Stevenson Hotel” Spotify / Apple / Tidal / Bandcamp - an old song never on a record about a Greek immigrant who lived in a Bowery flophouse into the 21st century. It was inspired by a New York Times article by Dan Barry and then the song was used by the NYT in a follow up article/video. Happy to finally give this a wider release.

Hi there and happy Summer! Many shows ahead and more added soon. In addition to these, I’ll be playing side guitar in The Minus 5 in Portland OR on July 30 at Mississippi Studios with Scott McCaughey, Peter Buck, and the gang (also on the bill, The Delines!). Here’s info on the confirmed dates - one big Summer blast with the full band Norway Rats lineup in the Columbia Gorge, two supporting Alejandro Escovedo, followed by headlines in NYC, Boston & Maine

One from the Vault! GREAT AMERICAN MUSIC HALL 1998. A solo acoustic set recorded in San Francisco in this storied theater opening for Jello Biafra. This performance leans hard on a fevered acoustic sound though there are softer moments too. It’s been digitized and mastered from a cassette that sounded surprisingly good with a few charming quirks. Pick it up here on our Bandcamp. Hope you enjoy!

NEW EP! Four dreamy new Casey Neill songs. It's titled "ep2" and features three originals plus Irish song "The Rocks of Bawn". Jenny Conlee plays accordion on that one. These are lush and contemplative pieces that live between the analog and the digital in sound and in subject matter.

MORE NEW MUSIC RECORDED FROM BUNKER. New Project! SADABOUTS. Our 4 song EP “In the Autonomous Zone” is out on Bandcamp and it's sure to delight your ears. It's a collaboration between Joe Adranga (aka Joey Sadabout) of Junior League and myself (Johnny Sadabout). These are songs that fell outside the purview of our primary projects and we built them over the airwaves. Dreamy, dancey, and lyrics about things we are happy and sadabout. Hope you like the first batch out of the oven. https://sadabouts.bandcamp.com/releases

Hi Everyone -
I hope you and yours are all keeping well amidst this craziness. While our canceled shows were a huge disappointment, this is every scheduled performance everywhere. The community of music locally in Portland, nationally, and internationally includes so many people I consider family. It spans genres, borders, and oceans and I feel a deep sense of solidarity for those in our chosen vocation. Lots of musicians are coming up with creative ways to keep at it and there are many organizations responding with help for performing artists. The best way to support us directly is my subscription service - the Incident Record Club. For $6 a month, it gives you access to download piles of unreleased material that is updated regularly with new songs, 10% off merch, and the officially released catalog as well.
For non-subscribers, we’ve released a digital only sampler - 'The Best of The Incident Record Club'. It’s 10 tracks culled from studio outtakes, live songs, and home recordings. These are favorites that have been included over the years. These updates will come more haphazardly as there are no gigs to promote but we may join the livestream chorus at some point. When the world returns to the seeing and playing of live music, it will be a lovely thing to say the least. Stay safe and stay healthy and be good to each other. - Casey Neill

We are very sorry to say that our show in Portland at Mississippi Studios tonight is postponed along with the next month of shows there. We also won't be joining the Tripwires in Seattle on Friday and all SXSW events next week are out for us. As soon as possible, we will plug back in and reschedule. In the meantime, take care of yourselves and each other. Love, The Norway Rats
