January 27th 2025. When I was watching Al Jazeera live yesterday, I thought I was looking at Ghazzah. Every building in the town had been turned to rubble, women were bleeding from their faces and being rescued, and there was nowhere for anyone to live. But the card clearly said "Lebanon" at the bottom of the screen. After a bit, surely enough the camera panned away and you could see that this town was high up in the mountains that my home country of Lebanon is famous for.
As revenge for the ceasefire in Palestine they are attacking Lebanon, bombing, shooting, and invading with tanks. They had already been in violation of their ceasefire with Lebanon, refusing to withdraw as per the agreed terms of the ceasefire.
The criminal zionist occupation wants to continue occupying Lebanese land in an attempt to ethnically cleanse the South and annex the area. They are simultaneously looking to eradicate Jenin, the base of armed resistance in the Palestinian West Bank, and surrounding areas, such as Tulkarem as well as Al-Khalil.
The zionist occupation is leading illegal wars on multiple fronts and are relying on you to turn your back and forget its crimes after Ghazzah's ceasefire.
We are not just fighting for Ghazzah's reprieve. We are fighting for the entire region's liberation from a terrorist military entity.
It was never just about Ghazzah.
"Lebanon, even though it has a flag and even though it has political institutions does not meet the definition of a country. … [This situation] requires us to recalculate a course regarding the border line with the entity that calls itself a state Lebanon."
- Amichai Chikli, Minister for Social Equality of the Likud Party of the zionist occupation (Source)

The modestly domestic and gently retro Formica table and vinyl-backed chairs contrast with the screaming graffiti that cover even the refrigerator. Artist Haring loves life in the visual fast lane - his apartment is an orchestrated riot of color and image, a nonstop, constantly evolving neo-Dada festival.

Yemen did a million man march and were bombed by the USA-UK at the same time. And when the smoke rose in the air they cheered. More than once you will hear Yemenis say they are happy to be bombed because it is one less bomb for Gaza.
Have you really the privilege of crying in your bed of hopelessness when you share the same earth with the people of Yemen? If you are looking for hope it’s all around you.

i saw a video the other day detailing why we see so much about gaza🇵🇸 but not sudan🇸🇩
it comes down to these 3 key differences
while gaza is much bloodier, gaza has journalists reporting daily. as a journalist you will be targeted viciously but it's a delayed risk because the enemy isn't on ground. your enemies are cowards who plot and kill you from afar.
in sudan it's impossible to report anything because the enemy is walking down your street (if not in your house) like rabid dogs. you will be shot on sight. it's an immediate risk. there is no time to capture or comment on anything. whatever information you put out will be your first and last.
in sudan, the updates come from the warring factions filming themselves, not from civilians. and you can imagine the bias and inaccuracy of their egotistical daily vlogs and official statements.
which is why it's more imperative than ever to follow Sudanese creators and journalists who do report on the little information that does come out.
here's a post on where to get daily updates about Sudan
disclaimer: palestinian press also deal with immediate risks when confronted with IDF on-ground.
