I'm running Mothership on Tuesday & I'm very excited -- we're doing a job-board format with some premade one-shots, which should be very fun! currently on the board are Deca Gone, Chromatic Transference, The Flora on Acyx, and Alone in the Deep.

I'm very excited for Deca Gone in particular, since i find the main premise very compelling. Its definitely one of those adventures that i read and immediately thought "i cannot wait to see what my players do with this"

the ross’s gull (rhodostethia rosea) is a small gull and the only member of their genus. they primarily breed in siberia, living through most of the year on ice packs distributed throughout the arctic. they are known for the soft pink coloration they take on during summers. like other gulls, they primarily feed on aquatic prey like fish and crustaceans. they lay clutches of 2-3 eggs; within a few days, chicks are rarely fed and become independent quickly. they are considered vulnerable, with a population of less than 10,000 birds.

they also have different qualities that make them each better and worse for different projects! like, i'm currently making a nice, thick, heavy tunisian crochet blanket for my mother, and its great! she loves a weighty blanket. but i'm also knitting a light, thin, breathable blanket for my husband. if i tried to crochet my husbands blanket or knit my mom's blanket, they wouldn't turn out the way i want them to.

if you want to learn to knit, learn to knit.

if you keep putting it off because it looks daunting, learn to knit. if you keep telling yourself “well i like how knit looks better but crochet is easier/faster”, learn to knit.

knitting is a different craft. it’s similar to crochet but the engagement and technique is different enough where you WILL itch a different part of your brain and you shouldn’t brush that off for speed or fear.

ive been thinking a lot about where mw should grow in the next couple of years and ive been dying to get back to homegoods ever since i designed those rugs a few years back!

so - what would you guys love to see in the realm of homegoods? 👀 I'm picturing the return of rugs and new things like curtains, bedding, wallpaper, maybe even fancyish linens for pretty table settings? maybe even things like dish sets? those woven tapestry/blankets have a special place in my heart too.
