Quick announcement: all audio songs of Casper the Musical 2001 will be uploaded on Youtube

This is just a way to make the songs accessible to people who may not have Tumblr and know the songs are on the blog. Not only that but there's recently been rumors about the uncertain state of Tumblr and while I'm not so sure if something will actually happen to the website or not, it's best to archive and back things up just in case. I already saved the other stuff and I'm currently working on saving the songs. The playlist will be linked once it's done.

Is this still going on? Are we still searching for this, and is there anything that could maybe relate to the Mask the musical 1999. That also took place in Bultins Uk or the Spiderman Musical.

It's still going although not a lot of new materials have been found, hence the lack of activity on the blog.

As for the Mask and Spiderman musicals, can't really say much since the blog is primarily about Casper on top of not having much knowledge to them compared to Casper.

Hey, I don't know if you still check this blog, but I was at a Pittsburgh CLO performance of Casper the Musical. I was 7 at the time, so I don't remember many details, but I've been looking for evidence that it was real ever since. Thank you for validating what I was nearly convinced was a fever dream, lol.

Small update (+ surprise)

Hi! Its been a while, huh? Well, no major leads have been made since the 20 minute reel has been found. However, something came in the mail yesterday and I am very excited to show y’all!

That’s right! I actually did managed to get a physical copy of the CD! I was looking at the Amazon listing and I noticed a HUGE price drop from 900$ to 30$, I bought it since it was basically once in a lifetime. Besides from a small crack on the back of the case, it’s in beautiful condition and the disc itself works with no trouble! But yeah, I came here to say hi and to show the CD! No idea if the search will go on (activity) tho because it does feel like I found basically everything that is accessible online and footage of the 1999 show feels impossible to find unless someone just happens to kept it somehow. But CtM will never leave me at this point so I’m somewhat determined that the stuff that is lost will be found this year.

Well this is a sudden surprise! There is a huge lost media iceberg video (and I mean HUGE with almost 2 hours of content!) that came out not too long ago and around 1:08:50, Casper The Musical got its little section and I even got a tiny mention! Casper aside, it’s a pretty good lost media video and I recommend giving it a watch! 💜

Have you thought of having a Discord to discuss the Casper musical?

It did actually happen for a while but since I had no experience making a Discord server and generally nobody was active (there was literally 3 people who actually cared and joined), it was shut down.

Honestly while I’m not gonna do any big research as much as i did anymore, I still want the hunt to be alive and want more people interested since it really is a strange but interesting musical. One thing I really want is a Lost Media Wiki article on the private bootleg just like Rag Dolly or just generally spread word about it but kinda impossible since I’m not really that big.

Few months ago when I was fairly new to Casper The Musical, I wanted to make an animatic for the first minute of “Casper” (because god knows I can’t do the full song) but due to me procrastinating so many times, I only got around to just 5 seconds of the main verse. Personally, I’m not planning to finishing it anytime soon or remake it because man, I really don’t know how to draw The Ghostly Trio especially side and back view lmao. But I at least try and I’m posting it now so you can witness the cringe (or whatever you think) I made.

Casper The Musical On Cassette

Well, guess who decided to crawl back into this blog after saying that I would take a break from researching the musical? Me! But to be fair, I wasn’t exactly looking for anything Casper related at all. Anyway, you know how Casper started off as a stage show at Butlins and there was 2 other shows, Spiderman and The Mask? I was looking for screenshots and I came across this.

Now, what I think is interesting is that up to this point, there was never an implication that these soundtracks came in cassette tapes. Only CDs. It makes me wonder if Casper and The Mask were in tapes as well but I have yet to find any evidence. Obviously won’t go on a long search looking for them since all 3 soundtracks are on Youtube but images would be nice at least. Yeah this isn’t related to Casper per se but I thought that this would be interesting to post. If there is anyone who have info on this, let me know!

Taking a Break From The Search

Hi! It’s me, Pink again! Like the title says, I’m gonna take a break from the Casper search and I don’t know when I’ll come back. I guess aside from the recent 20 minute video reel beforehand, there haven’t been anything new to post lately and overall I’ve been really busy with things. While I am a bit sad that the bootlegs have yet to be found, I do think that the video reel is perfect timing for me to temporarily put the search on hold and focus on other things. I’ll still talk about the musical with my friends but I won’t do any actual researching and all that.

I really want to deeply thank everyone who participated in the search with me or else it really wouldn’t make any progress. And especially thanks for not thinking that I was some crazy person who was very focused on an obscure musical based on the friendly ghost for no apparent reason lol. Who knows? Maybe someday, more stuff will eventually be found but for now, I’m gonna temporary take a break. Goodbye and hopefully I can see y’all again soon. 👻
