john baldry ▪︎ it ain't easy ▪︎ released june.1971
executive produced by rod stewart and elton john with elton john playing the piano and organ on the album and ronnie wood (the birds, rolling stones) also on guitar.
long john baldry was born in england and eventually moved to canada in the late seventies. he was part of bluesology, elton john's band back when elton was still reginald dwight.
side 2 contains a song titled 'rock me when he's gone' which is a elton john & bernie taupin song
baldry commented that the song 'don't try to lay no boogie-woogie on the king of rock and roll' was recorded laying down because the the late night recording sessions and the cognac and champagne rod stewart supplied.
