The pitching is coming near fast. We have not prepared for any sorts of it since we got very preoccupied, physically and mentally. It has been an exhausting week for the whole ME student body. Despite of that we are one by one achieving the goals set for us to do. 

The software is half finish still. All we need is a little push to finish our startup. It’s hard to work on the job especially when there are other projects going on. Our startup is already around 50% done we just need to figure out how to make it work in a computer with a printer. After that it’d be smooth sailing to the final pitching. Which we are still yet to figure out.

Mr. Bronzon came last Wednesday to discuss. He discussed about how description may vary from one another. People have different views on things. One should listen on what the other views things. He also discussed that costumers prefer to see the actual product than leave them imagining on the description.

Set aside all of the activities hope we all of us can finish it on time. It may be exhausting but we got no choice but to do our best. We can be the best version of our self if we push ourselves to the limit.

This week was a hell of a ride. It was also not a very productive week for our class in technology entrepreneurship. Despite of that we are still alive and well. Our group made a PowerPoint of a  business plan for our startup. It is basically the same with the BMC.

This week our group is close to finishing the software for the startup. Hopefully we can assemble all the necessary components for the startup and that includes the hardware. We hope to finish this even though it is a tough week for us every week with other projects going on. Assembling will be difficult since we have to connect a computer to a monitor and a printer. We have great hopes to finish this.

We have not found a printer for us to use. We have to find a receipt printer the will work for our software. For the computer, we can work with a laptop to use for it. Looking for the other components is hard to achieve.

This weeks continuously learning experiences theres one thing i had been craving to share. In life no one plays constant role, someone would leave someone will enter . For sure If anyone had left you someone better will teach you that you never lost moments and opportunities for a REASON instead you loose them for you to open yourself to learn MORE LESSONS.

This week has been a roller coaster for me. I went up and down then up again, was it fun? Yes it was a fun ending for me to experience. It has been proven and shown that in order to reach you destination faster you have to go up and down. When you get knocked down you come back up again stronger than ever.

This week, Ms. Jabile gave the class an assignment. We were told to make a brochure, update, and business plan. I already made the brochure and was submitted on Friday. I the brochure was information about our company and the benefits/advantages of our startup. We have yet to make the update and business plan so we can submit it to Ms. Jabile via email.

“Without struggle there is on success” 

Achieving a goal without struggles is nearly impossible. Every road has its curves, and ups and downs. All we need to do is persevere through it and do our best so we can hope for the best. It is better to give your best then fail than giving half effort into it and fail.

Technological Entrepreneurship. One hard ass work to pull off. This week there was nothing in particular we did except making progress on the working prototype. On Wednesday Mrs. Lagura break on the news for us that she won’t be finishing the semester with us due to a reason. She will be on a leave for two months. We will still see her around the school.

With Mrs. Lagura on a leave there will be a substitute teacher that will keep an eye on us and that will be Ms. Jabile. The class already adore Ms. Jabile because she was our instructor from the past semesters so adjusting will not be an issue. Honestly, it has been a long time since I last saw Ms. Jabile even though she is still around the campus. Mrs. Lagura said that she will inform Ms. Jabile on the updates from the class of the startup. She will start this week.

This week our group started with the software for the startup. Hopefully we can assemble all the necessary components for the startup and that includes the hardware. Another week passed by in our technological entrepreneurship journey. This week our group’s hard work has finally paid off. As said on my last blog that our group will be conducting an interview at Rural Bus Company for the market validation. It was also said there that we will be interviewing some passengers. Majority of the passengers 

In our usual Wednesday class, Mrs. Lagura asked all the groups about the update on our venture. Most groups got progress on the ventures. It is amazing how the whole class manage to conduct interviews despite of the busy schedule with many quizzes on the other subjects. Mrs. Lagura decided to have the other groups pitch new startups since almost little to no progress was made. With that our group excused ourselves from the class we are going for an interview.

We were suppose to conduct the interview on Monday but we were so busy that we forgot about it. Even if we did not forget about it we would not be able to have an interview still. So we excused ourselves from the class to have the interview. When we arrived at the company we interviewed a yard man. I think he is in charge there. We talked to him for 30 minutes. It went really well to be honest. 

The one we interviewed said that our study is feasible. He also said that it would greatly help the passengers have a comfortable experience riding the bus. The odds are on our favor. We really think that this will be a successful startup. Hopefully.

This week was a hell of a ride. It was also not a very productive week for our class in technology entrepreneurship. Despite of that we are still alive and well. This week we submitted our groups progress report. We also made a letter to send to the company we will be interviewing in the near future. 

Our instructor checked in on us on how we are doing with our proposal. With the help of Mrs. Lagura helped us what to do with our business validation. She also checked and corrected our letter for the interview. Next we will send out the letter so we can have the interview sooner. We discuss some other things too like the questions we will be asking during the interview. 

With our venture it is hard to get customers validation because our customers are big companies and mostly they are located remotely far from CDO. One thing is that we don’t know where they are located. I know one company from Gingoog City which is 3 hours away from CDO. The company is called Lipunan. We’ll try to get a old of that company.

Like what I have said from the start that a startup is no joke. We really need to work on the customer so we can have the green light and start working full time on our product. From the event held at PAT, I have come to learn that hard times and gonna get harder. It take a lot of strength to accept and carry on. It takes time and effort to build a start up because success does not happen over night.

My Bump On The Road

This week was designated for the pitching. The pitching was held at LRC. I knew the venue and all that stuff but I wasn’t there for the pitching. Yeah, I was absent. I woke up almost 10 am which means I’m 1 hr late already. I didn’t bother catching up because I thought the pitching was already done but one thing I didn’t know is that our group was last to present. Which means I could still catch up but I didn’t. I feel like shit because I wasn’t able to attend one of the biggest activity of the course. Great job to my teammates. 

From what my teammate said our venture needs the customer validation. Customer validation is one of the important factors in the startup world. You can’t sell a product without customers. One way of selling a product is knowing what the customers want. You don’t sell juice if the customers want ice candy. Bear with me with the simile. 

With our venture it is hard to get customers validation because our customers are big companies and mostly they are located remotely far from CDO.
