so while i’ve personally been encouraging positivity lately i do wanna point out that compulsory positivity IS a form of ableism & is extremely toxic. you are allowed to be bitter. you are allowed to be sad. you are allowed to be pissed as hell. you are allowed to feel hopeless & miserable & you are allowed to complain as much as you want. negativity can be useful & important & the ableist idea that you have to be positive all the time when you’re disabled is far more toxic than feelings of negativy are
