( POL ) Onwards, O Kenya !
Q . 1 . Anne Louise, at present you are 21 years of age , yet you have already established on your own initiative as a Norwegian national of modest background , the spontaneous launching and developing of  a truly authentic vehicle of international humanitarian mission . Was doing this difficult ? And how did you begin it ?
A . 1 .     It has been easy and hard at the same time. By asking a lot of questions I have acquired most of the knowledge I needed . . . !
Q .  2 .  You went to Kenya and naturally discovered and pin pointed the basic needs of the local circumstances , and then spontaneously started addressing them . First, what exactly were those needs ? What kind of dynamic did this create between you and your beneficiaries ? Did the Kenyan locals demonstrate gratitude and receptivity ? And why , prior to your arrival, had they not conceived of doing for themselves what you presented them ? And do you suppose things would have proceeded very differently, if instead of Kenya, you had gone to , say, Ukraine, or Poland, or a blighted and abandoned region of United States ?
A . 2 .   It began on a backpacking trip I had in 2008. I came to the village, the kids didn’t have food to eat and I started to help them. I didn’t plan to do anything more, but because of all the needs I saw, and my oportunity to help, it woud have been wrong for me to just watch and not doing anything about it .  ( NB )   ( Anne did not offer any remarks about other Nationalities and hypothetical scenarios in this    interview ) .
Q .  3 .  Kenya and Norway are in essence " North " and " The South " in a geographic, and even conceptual sense . Yet they share unique cultural properties in common at the level of a people, in that , both States , Norway and Kenya had traditionally and for a long span of time had been under the influences, of foreign powers , and sovereigns , and even now , the dependencies of external investments is immense , perhaps, in both nations --- a fact more obvious and openly evident in the Kenyan populations, and more concealed in the Norwegian peoples . In your experience, what makes each Nationality distinct, at every level, and what makes them on the same or on a similar token, exactly equal in relation to the human conditions ? If Norway was a third world country, and the various infrastructural advantages did not exist here, would circumstances be perhaps similar as they are in Kenya ? As a Norwegian, in that position, how would you address, existence of such conditions, in your own Country ?
A . 3 .  ( Yes ) ,  They were very grateful for the help. The children got better grades in School and the last two years a lot of people have improved towards better lives . They tell me when I am there how much they have actually benefited .  I actually went to many countries in my trip in 2008 . I saw a lot of poverty, but mostly I think the main problem was that people were not willing to work . . . In Kenya, the people, or  I mean the ladies, were more than willing to work, but they had no known oportunities .
Q . 4 .  As a Norwegian what insights did you gain, and which illusions, did you perhaps lose in the various transactions and exchanges you underwent ?
A . 4 .    Norway was a very poor country just a few years ago . We have developed as Kenya is developing right now . The greatest difference between the two countries is the culture .  Which is a historical thing .
Q .  5 . Please describe from your point of view, the living arrangement for a human being purely dependent on food and shelter , in the Kenyan cultural geography . What were your most striking experiences ?
A . 5 .   I have learned to always care about others and not only on the basis of time keeping, or time selling , time itself as a concept has changed for me . . . and a lot of other things . . .
Q .  6 . The photographs of you and the Kenyan regional personalities are beaming with a very auspicious and magnetic quality . Was there a sense of shared affections at an intrinsic level that made the photographs so bright ? Could you share some personal stories and anecdotes from your voyages and share them with our readers ?
A . 6 .   Most of them are living in houses made of mud.  That’s a huge difference from here.  At the same time, they are used to that, and the climate allows it . ( In Norway you would die if you lived like that in the winter ) . . . !
Q .  7 .  While it is understood, that one may visit any country in the world, simply by boarding an airplane at an airport, negotiating the price of tickets and so forth, can be difficult to achieve relationally . Some how , even the most enterprising and maverick individual has to pay for these provisions . With all the credit to your gutsiness in having pursued this adventurously, and developed truly entrepreneurial mission on your own initiative, how did you finance it ? And how do you finance it at present ?
A . 7 .   I have new stories every day. Yesterday I got to know that they had registered children for “ACDC ” Annes Children Development Center . 78 of the kids were total orphans and will really need the center a lot . It will make a huge impact in their lives . It is great to be part of that !
Q . 8 . Do you maintain a dynamic range of contacts with your Kenyan contacts while in Norway ? Do they depend upon you since you initiated various programmes in their country ? Or are they self-dependent and more self-established and self-directed as a result of your initiative ?
A . 8 .  I am sending SMS to them every day . I am also using skype to call their mobile phones.  It works very well, however it is easier to explain things and really understand them while I am in Kenya. However, I am studing here in Norway so it has to be like that .
Q . 9 .  You have had supportive aids since the time of your initiative . But i believe in the initiatory period you stated that you sent out inquiries to the wealthiest persons in the Kingdom of Norway, and only courted a Single Reply of Acknowledgment . Do you believe the sense of " self importance " and " status " can hinder communications , and thus generate blockages artificially in social exchanges and transformative potential ? Is this a problem unique only to the wealthy in your experiences ? Would the seemingly homogeneous vastly wealthy person, manage to operate on the same scale as you, and achieve the same relationships with complete strangers in utterly foreign lands ? And most importantly, how did you overcome the resistance from within and outside yourself ?
A . 9 .  I think people love to hear my story and are willing to help when they hear it the right way. If they get an e-mail among 200 other e-mails that day, it is not interesting and easy to neglect .  I think all humans can relate to other people . Even though I am not rich in Norway, I will always be rich to the people down there ( unless they improve like they are presently improving now  )  - with good humored laughter -
Q . 10 .  Finally please tell us more about yourself as a whole person – How did you grow up to be who you have become ? Who were your initial inspirations, and how did you follow up on your earliest dreams and encounters, to realize them in the present moment ? What do you believe, your relationship is to the world, and how do you see it transformed in the next few years. What would be the world for you in next 1, 5 , and 15 years from now ?
A . 10 .  I am a dedicated Christian and try to follow Jesus in everything I do. He is my inspirator and will always be . I am living step by step and I am just doing what he has told us to do : Help those that are poor, that have no food or clothes, are thirsty, in prison, widows, captives etc . Whenever I need a good idea or help, I cry out to Him and he answears. I think the world will change a lot in the future . It is up to us what will happen. It is hard to say what will happen when, usually my dreams are fulfilled much faster than I could ever dream of !
Anne Louise Hübert is Norwegian National, a Christian by Deed, and a Pioneer . A warm and beaming woman reminiscent of the late Dr . Albert Schweitzer, or indeed, as with the Norwegian Nansen and his many talks on the plights of the " suffering peoples of Europe " ( and later , Greenland ) , Anne's Foundation " Aid In Action " is a Seed whose Fruits clearly show the kind of Tree she is planting in our ever transforming World Realism . A Faithful Cultivatrixe of Providential Action, and a Believer in Divine Guidance, her journeys here in the world of " mock ups " and approximate truths, is a Living Inspiration of the " Living God " .

( POL Revue ) The Alpaca Alternative .
( 1 )    Madam Becher : From what we Understand, at Philosophy of Living , you have by your own initiative - as an enterprising Norwegian woman - gone to one of the farthest possible " venues " of engagement on this world, to the farthest Andean slopes, to set about establishing a whole village around the Alpaca creature , and through specific ventures and initiatives developed a holistic frame, philosophy, and reality of harmonious and transcdent existence --- above and beyond --- the dirt, rhetoric, and delusions of Maddison Avenue, mere Lip Service to things for selfish gains, and other things of questionable " international " premises --- and in doing so, have presented yourself as a Symbol of all humanity --- especially Western Humanity --- in presenting an Inspiration of Living the Reality of " We Are the Change We Wish to See in the World " . Do we understand these premises correctly ? Please take a moment to communicate with the Conscious and Self-Reliant Audience of Philosophy of Living the living premises of your truths .
( 1 )  Life is a development for our souls and if we have the courage to let go of the control and get in touch with our emotions, we will be open to receive it universally and then the development will move on almost by itself. But we need to be open for the help, which is there to receive. It is not easy, since we meet traits in ourselves, which we might find difficult to accept. This is the reason why it is important to work on these matters, so not to hinder the development. In this life I have always felt like a helper. I believe in reincarnation and that my mission in this life on earth is to become as pure as possible a human being, so that love becomes the most important thing in my life. Then the love for mother earth and all the people will lead me in becoming a Godlike human being. I believe I got this calling, which lead to the start up of Alpaca Norway-Andes (ANA), because I was in contact with my feelings and I was willing to let go of controlling my life situation. I view this calling as a learning process for my soul, and I believe my most important task in Peru is to make the people there feel like winners rather than losers. They have not been able to let go of their past history and view themselves as victims, waiting for someone to rescue them. They believe money is the one thing that can make them happy. I have always, in my inner being, known that this is not a fact.
We have to listen to our true feelings through our hearts. That will create an inner feeling of safety and peace, and we will then understand that we are the only ones that can make our lives better. This means you give more than you believe you need. ANA lends help for self governance. After a while you’ll learn to take responsibility for your actions and understand that only you can build the foundations for your life. No one else can be blamed if your life doesn’t go in your favor, no matter what experiences you are challenged with in life. When you master this art, you become more open for the developmental processes of life and you can grow as a human being. I am a strict teacher, but I make the demands only as I see it is possible to get to the next step. No one can make another person happy! Money is definitely not the way to happiness, and it will come as a bonus when you are able to take full responsibility for your self and your actions. Only after this, you will be able to also help others in the right way.
( 2 ) In the Western " Social Democracy " experiment , we notice that the bureaucratic conditions of Scandinavian Societies have a very " Big Brother " approach --- since the bureaucratic establishment --- such as ' NAV ' and ' Innovasjon Norge ' and ' Fritt Ord ' and other " vehicles " of so called " Independent Development " do not necessarily acknowledge the Truly Independent Actors and Actresses of Universals and Particulars in Goodwill Investment , and in their so-called " providential functions " seem to have taken on the role of measuring the Value of things as the One and the Same as its Price . As the poet Oscar Wilde noted,   " A cynic is a man who knows the price of everything but the value of nothing. " Is this your experience as well in being a citizen of Norway ? And how have you --- and how can other Scandinavians transcend such external impositions of interpretations while Living the Actual distinctions between the " Price " and " Value " of things ? What is the most harmonious interpretation of this reality from an ' ANA ' Point of View ?
( 2 ) ANA follows the rules of the bureaucracy to be able to reach the goal for the Alpaca farmers in Peru, which is to end poverty.
I believe life is simple; if you listen to your inner voice – the voice of your heart – everything will turn out just fine. You will no longer get irritated by other people, and recognize it is not MINE, but their problems. I have stopped watching television and reading newspapers. I distance myself from the negativity in society, although I got the calling to start ANA through information that I got from the television.. I believe you can say I don’t believe in negativity, and doesn’t care about it – because caring about it is what causes the frustration, which is destructive for the people, and this we can’t change. For me this is a waste of energy.
I’m very engaged in society issues, but I work with what I believe in from a holistic view based on love. I see journalism as very negative for society in the way it has developed.  Information is important, but it should be positive, because negative information creates fear and frustration among the people, which again can lead to instability. And we also know that cynics use the media as they wish to influence this imbalance. Just have a look at the swine flue case! Why do we need this? The press only created fear among the people. Shouldn’t the governments take responsibility and give the people what they need and not what they think they need? Almost everything they write about is commercial and written with a negative perspective. They are not able to see the whole picture and end up giving wrong facts. I would tend to say that it is the commercial power play that are the forces behind the negativity which the world has been through, because it creates instability in immature people – which there are the most of. This is why I distance myself from negativity and put the focus on love.
We have to listen to our hearts and find the answers with the help of love. We have to quit blaming others for what is happening to us. People ask: “why is this happening to me?” It is normal to put the blame on others instead of searching the cause within oneself. Yes, we need to learn the difference in what is MY responsibility and what is YOURS. What is yours, no one else can be responsible for, but we need to be empathetic without consuming the negative energy of the other.  Give advice or ask a question on why this person feel the way he does. Taking RESPONSIBILITY for what we do and how we are leading our own lives are more than enough work for each individual. This is why we shouldn’t take responsibility for the development for others. I work from the principle of Gods love, which lies in my heart. I respect all and provide guidance if I can. To be humble for other peoples personal development is very important.
( 3  )  How supportive to ANA - the Alpaca - Norway Andes Society had been the so-called " Private " and " Public " sectors ? Ultimately Who Does the Real Work , How do they do it, and Why ? Do you find perhaps institutional benefactors --- even those claiming to be " objective " and      " independent "  tend to impose their own agendas through conditions and terms ? In such a situation, how have you found the sought after harmony as a Person, as an Organizing Force, and as an existence ? What can the world of relations learn from the precedent of ' ANA '  ?
( 3  ) As I have stated, this work with ANA is a developmental process for my soul, to be able to do a small gesture for the global society. I have not had the time to seek for many, but after the third application I got funds from Norad. I was also not ready before, because it is important to have the time to grow with the task. I have so far two larger private sponsors and some smaller ones. Otherwise ANA has been funded by me. It is now time to strengthen the work in the field, more donors, as I now feel ready to start this work.
I am the one doing all the work, but I have advisors that are volunteers. The economics I’ve handed over to professionals, which again are paid by me.
This is my life mission, and that’s the reason why I’m doing it. Some volunteers have visited the town Rodeana, and it’s good for the farmers to see that we are present. I get reports from the ones having visited Rodeana. Some of the volunteers are translators or having other knowledge, which I need. Some of them have also represented ANA at exhibitions etc. They are doing this because Peru is exciting, and they want to help and learn.
No involvement in this project. Yes, there are strict guidelines and rules, and writing the documents I have to attach to the applications are like preparing for a university exam – each time. This is something I have to adapt to, I don’t waste energy thinking too much about it. I write the applications from my heart, because I wish the people in Rodeana to get that investment and help to self help which they need to get out of the poverty situation.
I feel I am chosen by God to do this work, so I’m growing along the path. I meditate every day and follow the guidance of my heart. I feel like I am in control and I’m developing to become a good and conscious leader. I am huble for the task I am set to do and I am certain that this is the school of life. I listen to my heart, and try my best to become a conscious leader.
Listen to your hart, your true self! Be faithful towards yourself. Lead your life without being influenced by others. Don’t take control over other people. Listen to them and guide them towards their hearts. Be positive in your thoughts and tell yourself that problems are there to be solved and that you are responsible for everything you do. Then life becomes easy to live.
  (  4  ) How is Peru ? Please lavishly elaborate !
( 4  ) Peru has the Amazoon, rain forests, mountains and oceans. You meet the tropical heat along the coast and much lower temperatures in the mountains. There is a lot of poverty in Peru, but you don’t necessary have to see a lot of it, unless you don’t engage in the lives of the people on the streets. If you visit Macchu Picchu, you’ll have to spend the night in Aqua Caliente, where you will observe the poverty in close range. The street salesmen are not that intrusive which you see in other countries. If you say: “another day”, they are mostly satisfied with your answer.
In the Andes, which I know the best, the scenery is incredible beautiful. As beautiful as Norway, but in relation, so much larger. In the village of Rodeana you’ll find the mountain Ausangate, a holy mountain, over 6100 meter above see level. The closest city to Rodeana is Cusco (which means the navel of the earth). This city bears signs of the history after the invasion. It is beautiful in the centre, but becomes less and less beautiful with the distance to the centre, due to the poverty of the people.
In the old city, San Blas, I would like to live. Beautiful buildings with a soul. A romantic place which is situated on the hill, viewing over Cusco city. This city has ca. 30000 inhabitants, filled with the history of the Inkas. In the catholic cathedral in the centre of the city (at Plaza del Armas, which is a name used for all city centres in Peru), the native people have decided that Christ on the cross is black. He is hidden behind the entrance door, where a large energetic rock is situated – a place where people release their burdens to. I have tried it out myself, and it is a very strong energy in that rock. I recommend it! Seen with my eyes, Cusco and Peru is a huge energy centre which gives me the feeling of belonging. The many energy centres in Peru is definitely worth a visit. From the area of Cusco you can reach Manu, which is rain forest. It’s not far from Macchu Piccu and in an ours driving range, you can find many interesting places, in all directions.
I find peace in my heart, and stress is non present since the Peruan people are not occupied with time. You can’t trust appointments based on time if you are going to meet the locals. If you for some reason need to visit the community offices your patience will be tested. But the people are harmonic and friendly. They see you as rich in money and can try to make you pay to much for the things you purchase on the street.
Due to the thin mountain air (Cusco is situated 3400 meters above see level) you are forced to walk slowly and be present in your body. It’s a good experience and good for both your soul and you body.
( 5 ) Ah! And what Inspired you primarily to initiate such a bold project? Who were your allies and what was the general attitude of the community here in Norway - in terms of family and friends --- in the beginning? Was there resistance? If so, how was it transformed and at what cost?
( 5  ) A program on television which presented fabrics from the third world countries and designer students from London which were designing clothes from these fabrics. Here I got a look into the situation to the poorest alpaca farmers in the Andes. I came home from work on evening and heard the work Peru, and I instantly knew I hade to record the television show. In those 9 minutes the recording lasted, I got the calling. It was like a lightening that struck me right in my heart, and I sensed a peace flowing through my body – and I knew what I had to do. I didn’t know how I was going to do it, so I had to spend a lot of time understanding that I had to do this in an organized way, which lead to me officially filing the organization in January 2007.
I arranged a course in anxiety and in the work with grief. One of the persons calling in had been in Peru during longer periods of time, and now had an extended network there. I made use of that in the starting up process. Otherwise I felt, and still feel, lonely in this journey. But I’m supposed to learn something from it. I am creative and I like to start things. I am not supposed to handle all the tasks by myself, so  I’ll need an administrator whenever that’s affordable.
People thought I was crazy when I started this journey, but I’ve always felt different, so I didn’t take much notice of that. I had to follow my heart because I realized I was chosen by God to do this work, and I have later come to understand that this is my true path for this life. Friends and family didn’t say much, as they knew I would go through with my plans no matter what they said. The prize I have to pay is loneliness. All learning depends solely on me. Now, that the project is doing quite well, people’s attitude towards it has changed. People like it now and increasingly more supports it.
You don’t feel much resistance whenever you follow your heart, because you know what to do, but because of the steep learning curve and the development I’m going through, it can be hard some days. It has been important for me to be conscious about the whole process, since  I’ve also had many personal challenges along the road. In the past, I was always there for people around me if they needed my help, so some of my friends wondered if it wasn’t time for me to start taking care of myself, or, if I didn’t have enough to do already. I feel that this is my life task, and I work from my heart. I suppose I will continue doing this work until I die.
As I already have mentioned, my philosophy of living is simple. Listen to your heart, be true to yourself – then you become true to others. Development of your virtues are important. They gradually develop and get integrated in the personality. I have also mentioned what I see as important and as my task for the ANA projects “for a living world” attendees. I have to make them see themselves as winners. To teach them not to get stuck in the past, but to have a positive outlook for the future.
I have attained a deeper respect for people in difficult circumstances. I have also attained more understanding and patience. At the same time I am conscious about the importance of influencing the thinking patterns of the quechuaindians. It’s not money they first and foremost need, it is knowledge.
As mentioned, the belief that they will do well on their own is the key to their success. In the short span of time I am like a mother that is teaching her children to have a positive outlook on the future. In the longer span of time they will see that life is easier when they can use the power of the mind to integrate what they have learned and experienced into lasting change.

( POL Revue ) On Tyrants and the True Cure of them .
111 ( 1 )  ( P O L Journal of Culture and Consciousness ) Behold ! The bizarre and voluptuous convulsions of the humanities . Mithridates VI of Pontus being a particularly earthly monument of the same, which you , Madamme Mayor, have depicted in your commemorative volume , " The Poison King " . As you presently research the consummated and maniacal lives of Graeco-Roman exploits at Stanford University's Center of Research --- do you yourself contrive potent Mithridatium antidotes in your spare time to develop your own immunities towards the underwhelmingly cliched contemporary culture of the modern Americas ?
DR . ADRIENNE MAYOR : In the course of my research, I have traveled several times in Greece and Anatolia (Turkey), visiting many of the cities allied with Mithradates, including the ruins of Pergamon, which became his headquarters after his victories of the First Mithradatic War. After drivingthe Roman army out of Anatolia, it was from this great city that Mithradates ordered the massacre of the remaining Roman settlers—tax collectors, merchants, and slave traders—in 88 BC. I saw the complex of the famous healing center and temple of Asclepius, where many Romans fled for refuge. I sat for a time in the magnificent amphitheater of Pergamon, which held 10,000 spectators. This is where Mithradates carried out the dramatic execution of the arrogant rogue Roman official, Manius Aquillius, who invaded Mithradates’ kingdom in search of personal glory and profit, without authorization from the Roman People and Senate. Mithradates devised a highly theatrical and symbolic punishment for this greedy Roman—whose father had poisoned entire cities that had rebelled against harsh Roman rule a generation before.
Aquillius was forced to swallow molten gold—this execution became a byword for cruel but fitting deserts for greedy plunderers. It is notable, I think, that the Spanish conquistadors of the 16th century feared that King Moctezuma of Mexico would take revenge in the the same way as did Mithradates, to punish the European colonists for their lust for gold in the New World .
I’ve also visited Aegean islands important to Mithradates, including Rhodes and Chios, and the Temple of Artemis in Ephesus, where the detested Romans were slaughtered by the townspeople of that cosmopolitan city. I regret that I have not yet had a chance to travel to Georgia and over the Caucasus to the Crimea, where Mithradates made his last stand in 65- 63 BC. Mithradates was well aware of the abundance of naturally toxic honey in his kingdom. As Xenophon discovered when he led his 10,000 Greek mercenaries from Persia to the Black Sea, in the 5th century BC, the neurotoxins in the local wild honey would render an army senseless, making them vulnerable to ambush. That is exactly what Mithradates and his allies in western Pontus used against Pompey the Great and his Roman army in 65 BC. Pompey was pursuing Mithradates and a small band of ragtag survivors after a devastating defeat.
While Mithradates eluded the Romans and led them on a wild goose chase into Armenia and Colchis (now the Republic of Georgia), Mithradates’ allies set out toxic wild honeycombs on Pompey’s route. As soon as the legionnaires had feasted on the sweet treat, they collapsed paralyzed. Then Mithradates’ allies descended from the forests and killed them. Pompey lost about 1,000 men to poison rhododendron honey. I myself have not tasted the honey, but I have interviewed an anthropology student who sampled some of the pernicious honey and nearly died. So I was able to describe the nearly lethal neurological symptoms in vivid detail in my publications.
I’m happy to say that I have been very fortunate in not falling ill on my world travels, from the Mediterranean and Turkey to India and most recently Vietnam and Cambodia.
I attribute this to caution about food and water (wisdom conferred after commiting the grave error of brushing my teeth using Istanbul tap water some 30 years ago; the terracotta water and sewage pipes in that venerable city date from the Byzantine era).
I also will reveal my personal precautions, so simple and unsensational that Mithradates, the original master of antidotes, would chuckle: I rely on a daily modest dose of bismuth (antibacterial gastrointestinal defense) and the immunological adaptogen favored by Soviet astronauts, rhodiola rosavin from Siberia.
111 ( 2 )  ( P O L Journal of Culture and Consciousness )
Madamme Mayor , what kind of rigors, strangulations, impositions , mortifications, near deaths , and terrors did you have to undergo to write the Poison King in its groundbreaking entirety ?
Did you travel and contract the diabolical diarrhoea perchance, in your research squats along the Anatolic Orient ? A trace of an epidemic concealed in some rugged Lamb Kebab along the hellspo0nt ?
The Flu, after being sneezed upon by some hoary librarian with several oblong moles on his cheeks dusting off a number of old parchments ?
Were there conspiracies within the vaults of Stanford's Research Facilities and their Public Relations team to contrive a ceremonic parade in which you were to be flailed by a row of litigation attorneys from the Law College and then showcased in a Cage filled with Review Edition paperbacks of the Poison King and a banner of the University , to charm, beleague, and titillate , the influx of Campus Touring parents and High School graduates seeking to sign up for tuition at Stanford ? . . . Surely , we must be underestimating your actual and objective narrative with these modest visuals !
DR. ADRIENNE MAYOR ----
You ask, “What kind of rigors, . . . impositions , mortifications, near deaths , and terrors did you have to undergo to write the Poison King in its groundbreaking entirety?” There is a note of irony in this question for me personally. I began delving into the the life of Mithradates, the world’s first experimental toxicologist, while researching my previous book “Greek Fire, Poison Arrows, and Scorpion Bombs: Biological and Chemical Warfare in the Ancient World” (Overlook/Duckworth 2003, rev ed 2009). For several years I unearthed the ancient roots of biological and chemical weapons and tactics in mythological, literary, historical, andarchaeological evidence, in Greek myth and real battles in the Mediterranean, Mesopotamia, India, and China. Immersed in the animal, mineral, and plant toxins that were diabolically weaponized in antiquity all around the world, little did I realize that a few months after the publication of that book I myself would begin experiencing the “rigors, impositions, mortifications, and near-death” of poisons circulating in my bloodstream.
I underwent chemotherapy to treat cancer, voluntarily receiving infusions of some of the very same deadly substances used in antiquity to create deadly poison arrows. Specifically, I was injected with taxol, the sap of yew
trees, used in ancient times to empoison spears and arrows. My doctors were amazed at this ancient knowledge and nefarious use of the anti-cancer drug made from yew. For me, having studied poisons in depth for several years, this coincidence was a striking irony.
After my treatment with poisons to treat cancer, I was even more deeply impressed by the ancient understanding that all powerful natural substances hold the capacity to harm or heal. Everything depends upon the dosage .
111 ( 3 )
  ( P O L Journal of Culture and Consciousness )
The methods employed by the Poison King would constitute the kind of sanguinity and horror that those belonging to the so-called " Western World " associate with tyrants, dictators , and other permutations of evils --- particularly those of so- called " undeveloped countries " in our times . The genocide politically orchestrated by this Mithridates the Sixth ,combined with his duperies and cultural imitations to gratify the objective of power , enhanced by purely physical means by which to obliterate / allay paranoia towards the karmic forces unleashed by these actions ---- and eventually failing to prevent the inevitable outcome . Yet , Mithridates is very much an icon of the Greco-Roman West in more ways than none . Is he an icon of contemporary Americas as well ? Mithridates claimed ancestries to the Greek Alexander and the Persian Darius, to conciliate with this propaganda the enthusiasms of those he sought to rule - namely, Eastern and Western polities in the anatolia regions . Can this be considered the early development of the kind of antagonistic bilateralism and duality --- leading to the mass spectacles and bipartisanism that have developed over time in the so-called " bureaucratic democracies " of the West through the gradual transformation of nation states to form other kinds of polities ? Democratic , and Republican --- . Right Wing and Left Wing ---- . And, penguins and Sanguines ! . . .
DR. ADRIENNE MAYOR ----
Yes, some of the methods employed by Mithradates VI seem quite bloodthirsty and horrifying. This could be one reason that his previous European biographers, suchas Theodor Mommsen (1850s), Theodore Reinach (1890), Alfred Duggan (1958) considered him a cruel and decadent despot. They relegated him to the same category as the decadent Ottoman sultans of their era.
As the Ottoman Empire unraveled, and faded from memory, so was Mithradates also forgotten—or if he was remembered it was for his most notorious acts of murder and poison experiments. Those biographers, like the historians of the Roman Empire, told Mithradates’ story from the perspective of Pax Romana, the rosy glow of all that Roman rule had wrought, the legacy of post-Roman imperialism and conquest and taming of “Barbarians.” So Mithradates was long viewed as an evil, decadent “oriental” tyrant.
His supposed ‘cruelty” has long been associated with third world autocracies, despite the fact that the Romans killed and destroyed on an even greater scale and without even the justification of noble ideals, in this extremely violent era. The crimes against humanity and genocides of the Romans has yet to be treated adequately in any modern studies, although I know of a few scholars who have begun to research and publish the evidence for Rome’s inhumanities.
Yet, as I struggle to show in my biography, Mithradates was the defender and inheritor of the venerable ancient civilizations of Greece and Persia, in contrast to the brutal and culturally impoverished Romans of the late
Roman Republic.
In the last, bloody decades of the dying Republic, it was the Romans who were rapacious, relentless predators, like wolves, bent on devouring the known world, crushing Greek democracy and Persian heritage alike, with an insatiable lust for slaves and riches of other lands. Mithradates’ followers saw him as a hero, a savior-king, an enlightened monarch who respected ancient Greek democracy and followed the ancient Persian religion of Truth, Light, and Free Will. The Romans were seen as the forces of Darkness and Deceit, looting and enslaving millions.
Mithradates offered a real alternative to Rome: instead of a harsh system of taxation, slavery, and plunder, he hoped to create a mutually profitable Black Sea Empire, he freed thousands of slaves, relieved debts, expanded citizenship rights, and shared his wealth with his followers.
Notably, many Roman thinkers and historians admired the idealistic ambitions of their implacable enemy. Even more surprising, in the Middle Ages in Europe, Mithradates was viewed as a heroic independent benevolent monarch battling the evil Romans driven by greed for power and gold.
Mithradates’ life story, personality, and challenge to Rome are marked by complexity, making it difficult to disentangle good from evil. I’ve learned that he is a figure of deep fascination to modern readers, for many different reasons. This is illustrated vividly in the profile of Mithradates
Eupator that I created on the social network site Facebook in 2009.
He has more than a thousand friends from all around the globe, and of every religion from atheist to Zorastrian, and of every political stripe, from anarchists to neo- conservatives. Everyone who hears his life story finds something to fear and to admire in King Mithradates VI Dionysus Eupator of Pontus.
111 ( 4 )  ( P O L Journal of Culture and Consciousness )
Can the all immunizing Mithridatium immune man against his contemporary earthly madness, and shelter him from the poisonous influences of servility, laziness, unexamined existence, apathy, obsession, exploitation , political frenzies , and moral ugliness emphasized by fiscal and ambient despair ? Who was --- for starters --- this Mithridates the Sixth , and what would he be doing if were given to rule troubled lands today , and what does he represent in human nature, that corresponds to the poisons of the earth, that represent a correspondence between maniacal impulses of carnage, and the immunity towards the same ?And --- what would be his panacea to the contemporary poisons, which seem to afflict the psyche more than the soma ?
DR. ADRIENNE MAYOR ---
Mithradates’ methods were not always humane and his own rage and paranoia led him to carry out some monstrous acts. Yet his followers hailed Mithradates as the long-awaited savior-king who would defend the East from the imperial and tyrannical aggressors from the west, Rome. Mithradates was well-educated in Greek and Persian culture and learning, a keenly intelligent ruler who dreamed of realizing the vision of his ancestor, the great Alexander, of a vast Greco-Persian Empire, a co-prosperity trade zone. Mithradates hated slavery and debt. He liberated Greece from Rome, allowing the restoration—actually the last gasp—of the ancient Athenian democracy.
He was a patron of the arts, philosophy, and the sciences. His experiments with toxicology and his scientific discoveries related to poisons and antidotes anticipated complex concepts of medicine only just now being studied by advanced scientists today. Mithradates’ fascination with poisons and antidotes perhaps reflect his own dual nature of noble idealism and cruel methods. Was he a psychopath? Or a mythic hero? A toxic poison? Or a healing antidote? Certainly the Romans viewed this last independent king and his popular cause as a deadly, toxic threat to their exsistence—they could tolerate no rival. But to his followers,
Mithradates was the long-sought antidote to harsh Roman domination.
What would the charismatic Mithradates be doing today if he were alive? I like to think he would overcome his negative personality traits and be found fighting for Truth and Light against the forces of Darkness and The Lie, joining those struggling against enslavement, tyranny, and oppression wherever these evils raise their Hydra heads.
Or, another scenario comes to mind. Given his experimental genius and lifelong search for the perfect “universal antidote” to protect against all posions, perhaps Mithradates would be found in a laboratory creating theriacs and vaccines to immunize humanitiy. A few years ago, I had the privilege of interviewing Serguei Popov, a former top scientist in the Soviet biological warfare program who defected to the west in the 1990s.
Now instead of creating nightmarish genetically spliced biological weapons, such as hybrid cobra venom-smallpox pathogens, Popov devotes his life to creating something remarkably similar to Mithradates’ dream of a universal antidote.
Popov searches for ways to make vaccines that will neutralize diabolical biological weapons wielded by vicious forces bent on destruction.
If Mithradates were alive today, I
would like to imagine that he would seek to create a peaceful panacea to benefit humanity .

( POL Revue ) Holism, Unity, - Enterprise .
1 . 1 . 1 . (  POL Revue pitches )
Dear Brenda and Robert : You two emanate together as an Entrepreneurial Duo of ' Conscious Communicators  '  a truly exceptional heritage of experiences !
Embodying a transformational path that is underpinned by sacred relics within the core of experiences that have shaped and pioneered your adventitious proverbial ' Pilgrim's Progress ' . Could you explore your journey towards Meaning, towards your present Harmoniousness of Accord,  ---- towards the present experience of Fulfillment ?
1 . 1 . 1 .  ( Conscious Talk Radio Duo ) . . .  For us the Spiritual Journey started on the physical level.  Rob was diagnosed with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma at the age of twenty-three.  I was diagnosed with cancer three times, starting with cervical cancer at the age of twenty-six and then breast cancer a year apart thirteen years later.  We followed a similar path to healing.  The first step was to embrace natural foods, etc. and give our bodies what they needed to heal. This worked for a while but was not the complete answer.  Our disease continued to be a teacher by returning.  It was at this point that we evolved to the greater understanding of holism.  We modified our belief by going beyond the concept of giving our bodies what they needed to giving “life” what it needed, which was the emotional and spiritual nourishment alongside the physical care.  This is where the true healing began by discovering the true meaning of “As above s o below”...  - only from the reverse direction.
 2 . 2 . 2 . (  POL Revue ponders )
In the era of so-called " Dot Com Buzz " you two constitute an almost Senior Citizen status , yet redeem with such delicacy , charm , and enthusiasm a Quality of Expression imbued with meaning, metaphors, and discoveries, and not mere glazed over quantitative or imitative " dot coms "  possessed by a bloated and severely inflated sense of Access .
Your website " Conscioustalk.Net "  interviews are audible, transparent, and give a great Sense of Value - reminiscent of how internet was - when it was still inconspicuously free and bountiful and diverse beyond any of the reductive and overweening contrivances of commerce for its own sake .
Do you feel you are preserved in your own traditions from an earlier epoch in the American sub cultures ? More of a Que Sera Que Sera spirit of the 50's , reflecting the more sentient and sapient spirit of a possibly a more immunized society blessed with a sound degree of normalcy and order within whose contexts it had the bliss and assurance to work steadily towards an enriched post-adult life ?
Of course, not all persons of your generation have taken the brave path of the heartfelt and the transcendental - but it seems many of the personalities of your generation have a unique role to play, a unique energy to offer, a unique torch to ignite and pass to the younger generations in this sequence .
2  . 2 . 2 .  ( Conscious Radio Duo Commiserates ) :  Yes, we relate to the sub-cultures as pioneers seeking new expressions rather than redefining existing structures. We are living the experience rather than taking advantage of an emerging market.  In other words, we’re not on the radio to hear our own voices, but to share what we’ve learned.  The subject matter is more important than exercising our personalities.  Conscious Talk is a vehicle for our continual evolution as part of a growing community of seekers.  We’re simply the consummate students sharing what we’ve learned.
3 . 3 . 3 . ( POL revue stretches  )
Are you concerned , as a couple, possibly as paternals or grandpaternals , about the present course of the social context in its gradual unfolding as it particularly inveighs on behalf of the younger generations ?
The future Inheritors of the planetary stewardship ? It appears the so-called " emancipational influences " of ' the youthful spirit of discovery ' have mingled without any supportive contexts and prime foundations with the desirous and sensuous aspects of the younger generations who have been sold to, bought through the advertisement industries, propped up as products, and treated as commodities, while being mollycoddled and diffused in the measurably ineffectual educational systems designed to reduce the younger generation into the pulpish myth of factory workers .
It seems, a sedentary and inglorious generation of 30 and 40 somethings are the bridge between the somewhat superstitious and eclectic and aloof 50 and 60 somethings and those in their present teens to tweens . The pervasive culture that has been thusly engendered imposes severe cultural boundaries on the Americanized societies , for in the sentiment of Oscar Wilde entire societies have conceded to gauging the price of things rather than their true Value .
How can a reformation, restoration, and revitalization of the Value Culture truly take seed, heart, and character in the present conglomerate in a conscious and non-violent manner ? Is that presently even possible ? What are the leaping points and real time thresholds in practical Optimism for the years ahead ?
  3 . 3 . 3.  ( Conscious Talk Radio Duo engages )
There are a couple of things we’re learned over the years and one of them is  . . . there are no accidents.  The second part of this is that change isn’t embodied until consciousness shifts, and as we know it, it takes great suffering and humbling for people to surrender to change, and a greater awareness of who they are.
We are truly optimistic and open to the concept that the younger generation may not see these societal forms through the same eyes that we do.
After all, our parents didn’t understand us either.  Everyone is evolving whether they are conscious of it or not.  The consumerism, the celebrity worship, the wars, etc. are simply an expression of the “I Am Not”.
This Great Shift that is upon us is spotlighting this because we are now moving into the “I Am” expression of our continuing evolutionary process.  In other words . . .  the world society is like our own families.  We come into this life first to experience who we are not, so we can ultimately embody and embrace who we truly are .
4 . 4 . 4  .  ( POL Revue Explores )
As the Conscious Communicators and Independent Transformationalists, what is your Editorial Direction ?
What is the dispensation of the Subject Matter ?
Those claiming to Know what the " Future of Media " holds , those imagining " Paper Medium is dead " in the " Future " make these presumptions on the basis of the Ubiquity of the Internet . Isn't this merely a Delusion ?
Human beings are intrinsically connected by sympathies and long sleeping aeons of cultural substrata,  though they may not be wholly conscious of it . Can the so called virtuality of exchange ultimately make centrality in media tenable ?
Do you believe these " forecasters " are making such statements to discourage a Rising Surge and Tidal Wave of Truly transformational media presence in the form of an altruism balanced with a heightened degree of moral purpose , character, bent, and purity ?
What can Conscious Talk Radio and its like provide to tomorrow's media syndications ? Is this not a realization of a True Free Market, and a manifestation brought about by Cosmic Forces towards  a Naturalisation of Capital and Exchange of Energies at the most practical and sentient level of encounter , in face of the intrinsical and external breakdowns of human nature being transformed from exceeding greediness and selfish delusions and behaviorially entrenched non-reciprocity - to a Culture of Renewal, Revisory Transcendence, and Genuine Opportunity for the Person ?
Are we to suppose, we are indeed, surging towards an Aquarian era, ruled by powers of True Co-Creation ? Rising beyond the culture of mass-larceny tendencies embodied in recognized and collateralized power structures, to a culture of renaissance, blossoming, Truth and authenticity ---- away --- from darkness into a collective Light of awareness and exponential growth ?
  4 . 4 . 4 . ( Conscious Talk Radio Duo Corresponds ) . .  .
Years ago Marshall McLuhan, philosopher and futurist, talked about the medium as the message.  A media frenzy developed with the spotlight more on hardware as opposed to the software.  We’ve seen this as you have in the great predominance of science and technology over natural order.  And yet, science ends up at the doorstep of spirituality.  The truth about the Genome and other similar discoveries of a mechanical nature is that there’s always something “beyond” that is turning on the switch.  That’s who we truly are . . .  that “something else” that turns on the switch . . .
. . .  Technologies will come and go, which is why our effort with Conscious Talk is to focus on the “spirit” that animates all of life.  The medium may be the message of the moment, but it is an empty shell without conscious content.  The question isn’t which medium contains the best message, or which technology is most preeminent, but what’s it all for.  Our focus is on the exploration on human value more than human circumstance and the artificial structures that get created .
. . .
NB !  The Conscious Talk Duo are still pondering on three additional prospects , and will  disseminate them in due course . Stay Tuned !

( POL Revue ) On the Value of Carbon .
1 . 1 . 1   ( POL Magazine with Biochar Engineering Edward Someus [ Sweden/Hungary ]  )
Mr . Someus - Biochar Processing - or the transformation of the carbon composition and  productive “ hummus ”  of soil through the introduction of organic matter that is de-oxygenated , specially heated at certain temperatures , and then diffused and released into the soil cycle is a rather hopeful discovery in the Western Hemisphere - and of  course , Universally . ]
We are residing in an age where the  ignorant and apathetic exploitation of the soil resources by industries reflect certain detrimental and non-rational and even self-destructive attitudes permeating the cycles of negative gratification embodied in the financial regulatory and reductive pseudo-scientific philosophy governing the human societies , even  as growing minorities are universally emerging to fully experience the distinctions and disparities , resolutions and reform of the intrinsical attitudes directed by a mechanising era – moving further and further away from the paradise originally granted them by – let us say – The ‘ Fixed Nature of Things’ ---- .
Agricultural legacy is certainly not something that is modern, but rather , as all natural peoples have realized and expressed, is the very fibre and essence of the tenability of primeval existence which is clearly governed by a number of Natural    Laws .
Before we concern ourselves with technicalities , as an articulate and entrepreneurial Professional in your Field , degreed in Natural and Environmental Sciences from the University of Lund , with 2 1 years of your own Entrepreneurial experiences in terms of Industry, what have you appreciated as the Unalterable, Specific, and even one could suppose to say, Divinely Cosmic Laws, that govern this Unique Planetary Firmament ?
What  romance is gratified to you, as a Man of Natural Science, in terms of realizing the sheer scale and consistency of the intelligence at work - Providentially - within the very Soil of this planet ?
  1 . 1 . 1  (  The European Engineer of the Soil Expressively Reflects . . .  )
Nothing is of higher value than to regenerate and maintain Life in any diverse forms and their inherently inter-related symbiotic levels of naturally immunizing functions ---  .
In order to reach these aims in a densely human populated – and severely industrialized and dysfunctional  Planetary Expression , it is vitally important to go for the sustainable management of the ever increasing gigantic volumes of human activities -  generating  waste streams in all directions , - otherwise the Life quality and the future of our children will be diminished by early 21st century --- . A debt of the last three hundred years of Industrialization is now morally and socially incumbent upon us . And moving beyond hypocrisy to Action is of Urgent Consequence for all who are in a position to act , including enterprising engineers such as myself .
The past 200 years, and especially the past 60 years, of rapid industrialization and human population increase accelerated massive waste productions -  how do we fix this in 7 , 13 , or even 2 1  years ? That is the Question we all have to answer together ! The readers of your journals would have to appropriately answer these questions together for themselves and undertake Local Action, Local Relationships , Local Contingencies ---- .  Multiplying locally specific lines and sequences of actions to achieve “ Spontaneous Universalities ” . How else will there be a True Demand for alternatives ? There can be no other way .
Plainly speaking, it is a matter of urgency to develop eco-efficient, economical and environmentally friendly bio-mimetic -  or Natural Intelligence Emulating - technologies to convert waste into resources, for which most importantly advanced carbon conversion techniques are needed, which is truly the work I do.
I always turn towards the nature for design of bio-mimetic process inspiration, where the rigorous competition of natural selection through millions of years means waste and low efficiency are not tolerated in natural systems.
The past century of rapid industrial development and increase in human population implied that an ever increasing volume of human activity result in waste generation.  In this context I strive to consider „waste” not as a problem, instead of as a natural resource which by high efficient technological solution is optimally converted into useful products. Nothing material and energy is waste, everything is recycled and reused towards zero emission solution, as is done within the context of Nature.
The Planet Earth is mostly carbon based – Carbon being the basic element of the Earthly Life.
It is the right time to handle the vital matter and construct for it a right place in the societies and not misuse it as a resource as mankind has mostly thus far done .
VIDEO REVUE :  A CONTEMPORARY METAPHOR : And a Situational Universal Reality Now .
 1 . 1 . 2   .   (  POL Magazine Conjures Up a Second Question . . .  )
That is well said , Mr . Someus ! Now to magnify the technicalities so that more might understand it , we presume to express our rough sketch of the Biochar Process, which may or may not be accurate . After all, you are the engineer, and we – staff and readers combined - are the Inquirants !
Pyrolysis is the medium of bio char transformation of the carbon of the soil . From what we understand the effectiveness of this is truly radical in terms of how profoundly transformational and applicable it is .
It seems to provoke an interpretation of being a panacea for soil management when we consider that this is an entirely Natural basis of transformation of soil health - and one that keeps and stores the innate nutriments of the soil for centuries or even thousands of years ( unlike the anti-retentive and destructive pesticidal, slash and burn , metalloid intrusion, and other practises of the negative harvesting ) —.
Biochar through Pyrolysis also tends  to render the absorption of water effectual, and only 10 % of this carbon composition leads to 80% soil restoration —- even in the case of poor and aggravated soil regions — .
Indeed ! The great Civilizations of the Amazons utilized pyrolysis in providential ways, it has come to be known - a technique the Spanish observed in the 1500’s in the New World .
Yet , what are the Real Logistical Challenges of Implementation if any , considering that even ancient and supposedly less ” industrially equipped ” civilizations of merit restoratively used its properties ? Can we suspect that the real constraints are of a political , mass consciousness oriented/sociologic , and even artificially fiscal impositions ?
Your views on all these , if you will , for the benefit of our intelligent and sensitive readers of wholesome dedication and commitment.
VIDEO REVUE :  UBIQUITOUS BIOCHAR APPLICATION .
    1 . 1 . 2   .   (  The Natural Engineer yet again responds with Paucity  . . .  )
. . . Well ! There is a pervasive error in the understanding concerning biochar , often driven by profit interests or simply insufficient knowledge . Let me outline a few Naturally distinguishing Hierarchies . . .
WRONG VIEW  :  “  Biochar is a porous standard charcoal (originally made for energetic purpose) ”
CORRECT VIEW :  Biochar is plant or animal based special quality carboniferous material, which volatile organic VOC and poliaromatic hydrocarbon PAH residuals are below the environmental limits produced with near or zero emission processing from non food and secondary waste materials .
IMPROBABLE  VIEW  :  “ No need for official and accredited Authority permit to put biochar into open ecological soil environment, with possible interlink to subsurface waters .  ”
PROBABILISTIC VIEW :  Emphatically, in Jurisdiction Based Western Nations , Authority Permit is needed in all temperate climatic counties (EU, USA, CND, AU, JP). From environmental point of view most offered biochars are low quality and does not qualify for Implementation .
ROSE TINTED  AUTOMATISTIC VIEW :  “  Since the great Civilizations of the Amazonians used biochar effectually, therefore Biochar can be applied on a Planetary Scale on an Equitabe Basis.”
THREE POINTS OF RECTIFICATIONS :
ONE
Tropical systems can not be applied into temperate climatic zone soils on a One to One Ratio .
TWO
The carbon turn over in the tropical systems are very different than temperate climatic zone soils.
THREE
Original Terra Preta de Indios has not only been char but organic kitchen and household waste, including large amount of burned bones (bone charcoal) to supply Phosphorous to soil.
ROSE TINTED  AUTOMATISTIC VIEW :  “ Any charcoal makers can make biochar . ”
Very few carbonization technologies can make Authority permitted Quality Biochar. Carbonization is in effect a deceptively simple and traditional technology . However, notably, the traditional carbonization technologies generates more harm than  Solvency for the environment.  What is the use of generating biochar to protect climate change and CO2 carbon sequestration, when the main obsolete carbonization technology polluting the environment with emissions  in the Industries today is actually  far higher than sinked carbon? There are serious contradictions and contradistinctions by the Sciences in our Times – and these errors have to be Understood broadly, in a more educated and general manner, and we have to somehow transcend the societal dogmas and general cluelessness about the Soil, the Air, the Water, the Fire substance , and the Wind with True Theory and Sound , Honest , Practical Approaches . We must involve the young and the old alike in a radical awakening process- hopefully in the schools and public places – that mostly do nothing other than regurgitate useless and outdated formulas, instead of empowering the generations with Relevant Learning Now . Those are the public challenges in Consciousness that go beyond technology . We must implement Awareness based QUALITY products , and not reactionistic buzz words that are exploited by mirages and illusions as though Universal Transformations is a Gratification of the most passive kind . Nothing could be further from the Truth As It Is ! Nothing , I tell you !
NOTICE FOR EXAMPLE THIS  : I have seen many cases when obsolete carbonization technologies from the 16th - 19th century shown as “modern new innovation” solution for the 21st century biochar. One of the myths is that any feed materials can be used for biochar . In many cases (because of commercial exploitation reasons ) primary materials used for biochar, result in :
[ 1 ]    Deforestation [ 2 ] Direct or indirect use of agricultural land with increase of food prices [ 3 ]   Environmental impacts.
Those are commercialistic exploitations, Intentionally in a wicked disregard and disdain ,  or with Honest Ignorance  that have been brought about in Consequence to the Age of Machines and as Charlie Chaplin said in the movie Great Dictator , “ Machine Men . . . with Machine Minds . . . ”  . Human nature and the problems produced by it , are also the Reversal Solutions here .
Technically,  it is important, that ONLY non food and  non-primer feeds should be used, truly classified and truly originating as waste of non useful byproducts intrinsical to the human factors and industrial factors at large .
VIDEO REVUE  :  BIOCHAR  AS  BLACK  GOLD .
1 . 1 . 3  . ( POL Magazine Invokes a Contemporary Reference . . .  )
Mr . Someus : Recently, Hungary underwent a massive and fatal metal pollution of the soil, when a metallurgic plant either exploded or underwent a catastrophic blowout causing a great spill of liquiefied metals to be introduced into the soils . The soil quite literally turned very very red, and caused tremendous afflictions , in terms of diseases and difficulties . How did that event influence the Natural Soil Equilibrium, from a professional analyses view point ? In exact way, step by step , what did Nature have to do to absorb this counter-natural blow to its systemic and sympathetic tendencies ? Could you present to our readers a scene by scene autopsy of that natural catastrophe from the point of view of the Natural Sciences ?
 1 . 1 . 3  .                    ( The Natural Engineer’s Rejoinder  . . .  )
This pollution is the demonstration and case for greedy human character, where the tricksters and fraudulent owners made no spending exceptions on the safety of the equipage in Industrial Proportions , only conciliations upon profit was counted in their pockets in great philandering insensitivity .
Nevertheless, owing to the Fixed Nature of Universal and Natural Laws, Natural Soil Equilibrium is always restored in one or other way, when the Nature goes on its own way in regards to its gracious and extensive thresholds of Tolerance . The only problem is the Time and the Quality of how Action distils restorations within the contexts of Time : 100 years is one second from the Nature perspective point of view, and Humans have never the Time to spare for things of Value and Intrinsical Virtues , as they parade and squander it on cheap thrills and the ignorant fetters and nonsenses . The Civil Will has to awaken from its mass stupor to actually resolve things that Nature command us to resolve Now !
VIDEO REVIEW :  LIFE AS IT IS , IN CONTEXT TO BIOCHAR .
  1 . 1 . 4  .         ( POL Magazine Invokes a Question of Foresight  )
How radically transformational can Bio-Char become once it is a wholly fructified industry of scale ?  By scale we mean ( both ) as - let’s say - a functioning , ubiquitious apparatus that can both create applications the size of a small refrigerator for a community garden area, or of large landmasses through other kinds of engineering installations .
Can bio-char consummate a total restoration of the habitats of the polluted systems of Hungary’s disaster ?
Can Chinese agricultural carnage be revised and restored along the banks of the mega-polluted Yang Tse River ? Can the South American Tropicals, or the rare historic , slow growing , forests of Madagascar be transformed by Bio Char ? And can bio-char create new soil cycles in desert areas, if enough Prolysistic Soil Treatment is conditioned upon desertified or desert areas ?
Biochar (the true type of biochar, which is a complex issue) is a revolutionary product, which is providing solutions and curing many soil and Earth problems.
 1 . 1 . 5  .         (  The Natural Engineer Edward Responds . . .    )
 1 .  ‘ USE OF BIO-CHAR TO REVERSE DESERTIFICATION ’ :
YES, THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT APPLICATIONS  .
2 .   Can Chinese agricultural carnage be revised and restored along the banks of the mega-polluted Yang Tse River by BIOCHAR ?   YES .
3 .  Can bio-char consummate a total restoration of the habitats of the polluted systems of Hungary’s disaster ?   ONLY PARTIALLY,  as this is a heavy metal pollution, for which other measures must also be simultaneously undertaken. Heavy metal adsorption can ONLY be managed by animal bone char type biochar . . .
4 .   L O C A L   D  E P L O Y M E N T S   IN COMMUNITY   GARDENS .  YES , That is a  most importantly horticultural use !
   1 . 1 . 6   (  POL MAGAZINE  POSES LL AN ENTERPRISING QUESTION   )     :
As the leading manufacturer of application and industry in Bio Char , and as an Entrepreneur , what are your present challenges ? What kind of time lines and time cycles do you have to oblige ? What is the right type of Investor for bio char , and what is the wrong type of Investor for bio char ? To what degree is salesmanship , and brand development contingent in the sociologic aspects of introducing your products, and to what extent are the government bodies cooperant with actual investment ? And what - as a Natural Scientist - is your Philosophy of Living ?

1 .   PRESENT CHALLENGES :  Truly Honest and Committed financial management for set up of and  wide implementations of the INDUSTRIAL BIOCHAR on factor of Scale .
2 .   EXECUTIVE TIMELINE :  2011/2012 is the break through time for my industrial biochar system .
3 . DESIRED INVESTOR TEMPERAMENT :  Conservative and low risk investments in an attractive business in which works the investor has a personal Conviction, and Supports it broadly on the Conviction and Account  of its Value to positively Change the World in a short time factor , while generating business profit high returns under 2-4 ROI time .
4 . THE WRONG TYPE OF INVESTOR TEMPERAMENT : The Entity that does not have any personal belief or investment in the Value of this Application , has no Comprehension, Contemplation, or Intelligence to Comprehend the Realities of the World far less address those realities effectually through merely the means of merchantry , and does not comprehend any Value other than  short term profitability , and has generally, no gratitude for the world which he exploits .  Fake, Contrived, and Fraudulent types of temperament can not benefit themselves and nor the World .
5 .  PROVEN SUCCESS :  The European Union is already prioritized and selected the 3R tech since 2002, supported us with many millions of Euro Dollars for its development, further supporting with further investments, marketing and dissemination towards pan-industrializations in the European Contexts .
6 .  THE BIOCHAR PRODUCTS : The 3R products are supporting the organic farming, clean environmental facilities , healthy food and lifestyle developments for all people, especially for families, all for affordable and low prices . Inquire within !
7 .  AFFORDABLE  ORGANIC DIET .  In past organic farming products costs doubled up beyond the chemosynthetic intensive food products, so few could afford Organic Production Wares . The new 3R product system makes it around the same priced as intensive food products and affordable to all Consumers at the end of the line combined with awareness and responsibility for their children’ healths and improved Life chances for all .
8 .  OUR PHILOSOPHY  OF LIVING :
GENERALLY:  It is always Right to do the Right thing, so do what you can - with what you have - wherever you are . In this context the “Difficulties are things that show a man’s nature.” —- Epictetus, philosopher .
ENVIRONMENTAL PROBLEM SOLVING : “The significant problems we face cannot be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we created them — Albert Einstein  BUT “In the middle of difficulty, lies opportunity” — Albert Einstein .
FOR MY 3R AGROCARBON BIOCHAR DEVELOPMENT PERFORMACE: “Any fool can make things bigger, more complex and more violent. But it takes a touch of genius - and a lot of courage - to move in the opposite direction.” — Albert Einstein .
THE WAY TO WORK: “What counts is not necessarily the size of the dog in the fight — it’s the size of the fight in the dog” —— Dwight Eisenhower .

( POL Revue ) On Handmade .
( POL Revue )    You live in the land of Ibsen, and you have chosen an Italian name of your company. Is there any relevance to your own feelings towards Norway and the Norwegian people, compared to that of Ibsen?
( Scusi ) In fact the name ‘Scusi’ has no relevance to Norway, Ibsen or the Norwegian people at large. It is rather a coincidence that we chose an Italian word for our business. We liked how this word sounded, and since we were looking for a name free of associations but still easy enough to remember, this was then our choice.
Deep inside we also resonated with the name since it represents the Italian way of saying ‘I’m sorry’- and we pictured the two of us in an Italian scene where we are moving ahead, using our arms and elbows to move forward with a concept that people around us didn’t have much faith in. So you might say it is a way of us expressing our wish to move ahead, be noticed and recognized for what we do – and NOT having to apologize for it.
( POL Revue )     How did Scusi come to be? What was its origin and on what values and ideas is it built?
( Scusi ) During our art-study we already become aware of each other and each other’s design. We soon realized that we were what you call ‘Soul mates’ and that we had the same ideas and goals for the future. This was 11 years ago.
During the study we got many ideas that we came to use later in our productions. For example, the flower theme came to us during a school trip to London. We happen to both dream about flowers, and this inspired us in our work years later. The flower patterns that we use on some of our cups we also collected on a school trip.
After finishing our studies we spent about a year planning and preparing our business. After receiving a financial start-up fund/support we moved into a new ‘studio’ in Oslo, and started working there in 1998.
It is important for us to respect each other’s ideas and thoughts. This has been a basic fundament in our reality within the business throughout the years and has proven to create a successful collaboration.
The main goal when we started ‘Scusi’ was to show the customers something new within our form of art. We wanted to make ceramic that was unique and unlike anything we had seen before. We wanted it to represent the Scandinavian spirit and let it have a clean/pure expression. We soon realized that this was exactly what the marked was ready for.
( POL Revue )     You make use of various materials in your art. How do you choose which ones to work with, and where do you get the inspiration for your choice?
( Scusi ) We choose the materials that we are working with based on different reasons. The most important factor is that the materials need to be solid and last for a long time.
We get the motivation for choosing various materials from our own expectations and our wishes to have a product that has long lifespan, is functional and has beauty. We let ourselves, consciously and unconsciously, inspire by art, mode, design, secondhand stores, child memories etc.
( POL Revue )     What relationship do you have with form and colors in your artistic work? Is this something you use with individual free inspiration, or do you need to follow certain guidelines?
( Scusi ) We have no strict guidelines we need to follow in our artistic work. We continuously work to change our expression when it comes to colors, form and techniques of working with the material.
We do however have one guideline and that is that we do not make anything that we wouldn’t have wanted to buy ourselves.
( POL Revue )     Which message do you wish to give to your customers with your work?
( Scusi ) We wish the customer to be happy with our products, and feel safe to use it. At the same time we wish our customers to experience something new and different. Our products are made to be used in everyday life. We wish that our customers use it regularly and not only stows it away in some glass cabinet. After all, if it breaks they can always buy a new one..
We often see and hear that people recognize themselves and things about their childhood when they experience our products that are decorated with flower paintings. This is a way for us to show them the value of their own being and to remind them to appreciate their own heritage. Our customer are more aware and conscious nowadays, and we recognize that they are looking for artistic work made with heart and soul.
( POL Revue ) How is it to lead a life as an entrepreneur in the artistic profession in these challenging economical times?
( Scusi ) We do notice that the market has changed lately, but actually more in our favor. Most people now wish to buy products of value; products that are unique and provide a certain exclusivity – which our products clearly do.
Our customers relate to the products and having these kind of products at home gives them a certain character and they clearly identify with the product that they purchase. Naturally we do as well, in a certain way, identify with our products. We also like to deliver larger products in person. That way we can make sure they are whole when they reach their final destination – and we can help the buyer to find a good place for it in his locations. It is always a bit sad to send our artistic work away. After all they are like ‘babies’ to us while we are working with them. As long as we see that the customer is enthusiastic about his purchase, this is of course not a problem at all.
( POL Revue )      Thank you for your time and effort in answering our questions. Just before ending this interview; could you share with us the plans for Scusi in the nearby future? Are you expanding your business abroad? What are the possibilities for you as a company?
( Scusi ) We are satisfied in the way we are working today, and we do not have an instant need to expand our business further at this moment. The danger in increasing the production lies in loss of control when we have to create a larger amount of artistic work. We wish to continue to work and keep the production in Norway. This way it is easier to keep the control of the wares and products we are working with, and of course, the distance of travel is shorter – which serves the environment as well. We also do make sure we are not using paintings with poisonous detergents. We are making sure that all the products we use are as ‘clean’ as possible.
SCUSI.
Hege Gimle and Mette Fjørtoft Vågnes aret he two ceramic designers in ’Scusi’. They are located in an old factory location in Oslo, designing ceramic product in light, Scandinavian spirit. Their products are 100% handmade in stoneware or ceramic, which gives the artistic work its own personality trait.

( POL Revue ) On the Razor's Edge of Renaissance .
(  POL Revue  )
Your paintings depict something of and within  contemporary Americas that is of a spirit of resilience when understood with a view to the dearth and sheer pallor of the saccharinegenic  tapestry of the present era .
Yet insofar that it is of the present hour and points to transcendent potentialities, it  emerges inasmuch from a radiant and more natural past - with a romantic candor reminiscent of the spirit of Winslow Homer  .
An Audiograveure : Visualizing the Temperature around the Razor's Edge .
At least , one could suppose this, by experiencing your landscapes, which seem to be an experiment of sheer colors and shades , from whose interloping a total ' Scene ' emerges . The linearity seems informed more by the integrality of colors and shades entirely, and with it , visions of a natural world and restoration , despite a desultory realism backdrop pervading the culture of the contemporary Americas . Could you elucidate the peculiarity of this Vision,  Mr . Lyons ?
(  Esmond  Responds ) The spirit of resilience that you speak of, is the spirit of Nature herself. My landscapes are rooted in the Hudson River School tradition on one hand complete with a transcendentalist philosophy of sorts, and on the other hand by a keen awareness of the ongoing environmental destruction wrought by humanity.
An Audiograveure : Knowing the Transformations of Choice .  While humanity may not recover from our excesses I have faith that Nature herself will. Often I hear these landscapes called "Romantic" and I am in accord with that label. The reduction or complete elimination of anything human though is, in view of the contemporary state of affairs, a gross admission on my part that building condos, boathouses, and millions of miles of asphalt is hardly a workable arrangement going into the future. And something quite different is about to occur.
As such my landscapes are really meant for the alien anthropologists who may find them, date them within the epochal collapse of our civilization and draw for themselves and their species a moral lesson. That my clent base sees them as beautiful paintings with a nostalgic atmosphere is of concern only to my accountant. I don't require that my work is "understood" to fulfill my purpose in painting because in truth everything can be understood any way we choose.  An Audiograveure : The Stillness That Is .  (  P O L  Revue  )
What , for you , is the most challenging and nerve wracking experiment , on, outside, beyond , and within the canvas ? What informs your temperance , and what frees and sustains your expressions ? What do you perceive to be stymying influences , and how are these overcome in the Artist's Life ?  ( Esmond Responds )  Probably the "most challenging and nerve wracking experiment" is staying focused on what I'm doing. There are just so many distractions. Even if I lock myself in my studio and turn off the phone it's frequently my own mind that seeks to divert me. Meditation has helped that a lot. When I start a painting it's often an uphill fight to stay with it. But I know if I get past that point I will drop into a kind of groove. When this happens the bundle of recyled carbon and water identified as "me" becomes inconsequential and a larger energy emerges to do the actual work while "I" sit on the sidelines. Silencing the mind or at least disciplining yourself not to respond to its endless blandishments is of paramount importance.
( POL Revue ) You say, you presently reside in New York .When moderns contemplate New York, in most of us , that have actually visited the City of New York , at least a few of us undergo a sort of vertigo ( while others of course, experience that vertigo like caffeine is universally experienced  - without compunction, as an internal reaction for its own sake )  --- .
( In Cities ) The sensory mechanisms are washed over with an incomprehensible quantity of noise, half-formed, haunted, or overdone legacies, cliches, and biologic and materialistic exaggerations .
Do you attribute the modern culture of relative insensitivity and gloominess as having been informed by a habitual defense mechanism to this pervasive modern noise  ?
An Audiograveure : The Inner Tempests in the Outer Peripherals .
An attempt by the internal mechanisms , namely, of the human Soul, to shield itself from the laments and parodies of the transient incarnation , and to be instinctually shielded from man made follies and errors, and awkwardly become muted by the external convulsions of " Supplies " and " Demands " derived at the expense and coarse gratification of the natural world ?
How can the average person revive the inner stillness in the re-realization of the Soul ? What , as an artist , do you perceive as the metaphors for the present age and its spirals of unrests and compunctions ? And what role does the elasticities between sensitivity and insensitivity play in the greater consequence - both phenomenal, and in the highest spirit of the term, artistic ?
( Esmond Responds )
I worked for ten years in Manhattan painting murals for different designers. I often wondered if coming into your apartment to a panoramic view of mountains, forests, and lakes was really an improvement over a blank white wall. What I mean is that I felt that my work was just another sensory phenomena that had to be "experienced" when perhaps a cessation of experience was what is called for. After the intense cacophony on the streets of New York City has subsided and you're in a relatively quiet space maybe the best approach to re-instating balance is to contemplate nothing. The "insensitivity" and "gloominess" you speak of is something I am intensely intimate with in my own life.
An Audiograveure : The Razor's Blunted Lamentations .
I see the life of the soul getting short shrift in our contemporary culture but I'm not sure that that isn't in itself an attribute of civilization itself or maybe more broadly all civilizations. Once we've created these specializations, these social strata, the control of resources especially food, we've sort of locked ourselves in a prison and thrown the key somewhere beyond our reach. For the "average person" these conditions have been quite devastating in a spiritual sense.
I'd like to think that art is the guardian that stands at the gates of consciousness warding off the entry of corruption, but the truth is that the average person has so little to do with art and is so much more drawn to media and entertainmant that it will take a complete collapse of these diversionary systems before human kind can reacquaint itself with such a basic and innately human experience as the production, appreciation, and incorporation of art into daily living. When I realized that I was already doing that then I started creating art. But on a deeper level I don't see myself as an artist.
I started painting at the age of 37 after having over 100 jobs as well as playing music in a dozen or so different musical groups. I do see myself as someone who gets a good deal of spiritual satisfaction from making my world and the world of others a more beautiful place. But as long as art is seen by the larger culture as a luxury while microwave ovens, automobiles, and leaf blowers are "necessities", the "average person" is consigned to a spiritual wasteland and seems quite comfortable with the choice being made. That in itself should inform those who seek to reform and revive our dying Empire.
( POL Revue )
Art - in its Ideal - has been for the greatest portion of its experience , regardless of extraneous projections or motives, to the extent that Art has been brought about by Artists, has been a Positive and Affirmative Innovation of the Emotional and Conceptual and Spiritual dimensions of the Man . Do you perceive in " Modern " or so-called " Post-Modern " Art an antagonist ? If so , what is the nature of this antagonism , in intrinsical terms ? Could it be that of between barbarity and civilization ? Refinement and Disorder ?
And when simplified and refined beyond the emotional assumptions and theories , could it be even that of between chaos and order ? Of dark spirits and of those with Lightness ? Is this dualism transcendable , eventually , in Art, through Art, by Art --- even if that Art be an " Art of Living " ?
( Esmond Responds )
When art is invested with a certain vitality it speaks to the viewer in subaudible tones. As a reflection of  human based consciousness it may introduce elements of chaos and disorder, hope and despair, balance and imbalance, good and evil, barbarism and civilization, and an infinite range of dualities. But if that's all it does then it is simply mundane. Know this; the viewer seldom sees into the artist through the painting. They can have totally different interpretations of the work.
There is however an ineffable quality in that subaudible tone which goes beyond duality and hints to the viewer on some mysterious level that consciousnees is connected to all this. The art then serves as a portal to an inner discovery for some viewers. I say some viewers because again no two people will see art the same way even if they match the language describing their experience. We all have our truths that belong specifically to us. But we can share a common truth as well. An Audiograveure : The Light of Life .
Both art and religion are devices for dealing with this commonality. Art has a record of being far less violent although it can be just a dogmatic.
When you talk about an "Art of Living" to me that simply means one goes through daily life with a purity of soul and an acceptance of grace. For instance when you require sustenance first express gratitude for life itself. Balance the refusal to kill with a deep reverance for all life. Make your inner conflicts transformative. Live by intentions and let the results speak for themselves. ( P O L  Revue  )  And , a bit about yourself . Or a collections of bits and pieces . Experiences . Memories . Conception . Prolongation . Advent . Art . Your Progression through the Ages, insofar as you have lived them on a sensory and intrinsical basis , for your own contemplation and that of Eternity's .  Mr . Lyons , is it possible for you to as an Artist of your Character , to sing perhaps , a few praises and odes to the Virtue of Patience ? For our readers, if you will . If you can .
( Esmond Responds )
Living in a creative mode is for me the only way to live. I tried "going straight" a few times and it just wasn't my truth. Accepting all the risks of living in the creative mode is the biggest challenge. You can't really copy someone else's life. You've got to invent your own. And you're on a material plane so you've got to keep body and soul together while you're doing it.
Audiograveure : Experiencing an Artist's Faith through the Wafer of this Audiovisual Communion.
Trusting the universe to take care of you is a leap of faith that you've got to take every day. If you're working in a factory or an office as I did for years you chaff at the restrictions to creativity inherent in these social structures. To bide your time and patiently endure is for some of us the only way. I've watched young artists become impatient with their status. Impatience, Patience they're just fine as long as you're using them as emotional fuel to form your intentions. Focusing on the reality you want to experience is work.
And it leads to more work, some of it serious hard menial work. Whether you're painting a barn or painting a landscape know the joy of living is a song your soul is always singing. To hear it you just have to listen. ( POL Revue )   What does the Future look like for the Art of the highest Spirit, and the United States ? For Art, and the World ? Apocalyptic ? Challenging ? Transforming ? A means to an end in an intrinsical sense ? A resurgence ? A force of invigoration ? A vein of the holy Spirit ? A force of Emancipation? Or are the furnitures and the expensive china sinking with the titanic ?
Beyond mortality, and assuming this to be the nature of Art , what are the gratifications of a Future, if it could be understood, generally, rather than personally . Without bias, unconditionally, and impersonally ? For the sake of energising the poverties of the times with a little Love, if you will .
( Esmond Responds )   . . .
For most of my life I have been having visions of the end of civilization meaning perhaps the end of the human species. I grew up in the era of nuclear showdown and matured as the environmental crisis emerged as the greatest threat yet to a "future humanity". I've often envisioned the excavation of lost civilizations (ours) on this planet by alien archaeologists who are curious to discover when and how we failed to endure. All this is consistent with the nature of the Universe which is transitory, insubstantial, and yet changelessly changing. If we look at nature we see the changing of the seasons, the flow of tides, the phases of the moon, and all the evidence is clear. Nothing is static.
If we look at history we see that this relatively short era of civilization was preceded by a much longer epoch of subsistence living, hunting and gathering, etc.. Few of us have ever had the experience of living in that manner and were we to rediscover that mode of living we would no doubt be unable to discharge all the baggage our civilized condition has loaded us with. So here we are in the early twenty-first century part of an enterprise which has clearly gone off the rails. I've often imagined myself and others on a crowded train. As we come into a long curve far ahead we can see the engine pulling the train. Not far ahead of the engine a bridge has collapsed. Does the engineer see this? Should we sound the alarm? Do we look around and see that our fellow passengers are not interested in what's happening preferring instead to be immersed in their personal dramas, or revelries, sorrows and sufferings, triumphs, defeats, acquisitions, business deals, gardens, banquets, child-rearing, the whole gamut of human strivings and concerns? For some of us this image can be amended to the engine has already gone into the chasm. And we have at best a few minutes before we follow.
In either case I have only one recommendation. Look again at nature. In the fall the leaves change color. It's really quite beautiful. And yet it's because they are dying. During the long cold winter these leaves will break down to become the stuff which enriches new growth in the warmer months. Among these leaves there will be seeds which will sprout in the spring and nourished by the detritus of old decaying matter began the cycle again. In the so-called "Dark Ages" of Europe groups of monks created citadels  which were replicas of each other. If one hundred citadels were created and ninety-nine were destroyed the "seed monastery" could still produce more monasteries to replace those that were lost. Going back to the nature analogy most of us are leaves. Most of us will die and become the compost of the future. A few of us will be the seeds of the future.
The "seed people" will take what is worth preserving into the future. Their current dilemna is determining what to take. The art? the technology? the literature? the religious beliefs? I have a feeling that this will sort itself out. But I don't have any sense that humanity will perish or survive the coming cataclysm and I don't think that is terribly important. It's really a matter for me of how we conduct ourselves in the present moment. I choose to make paintings of nature and feminine divinity, to make sacred chant music, to cherish each and every moment with a spirit of gratitude, to know the joy of love, and to be happy. And if and when it gets dark, very dark, I will light a candle for those who can see and I will sing for those who can hear. And just maybe I will look around and see millions of other candles and a deafening chorus will answer my solitary voice.

( POL Revue ) A Homeopathic Worldview .
Interviewing World Renowned Classical Homeopath , Dr . Rajan Sankaran .
Classical Sciences :  The Study of Depths .
( POL Magazine ) How did you come about exploring the patients “vital sensations” and why do you consider this to be important ?
( Background ) Audiovignette on Classical Homeopathic Treatment .
( RS )  It’s a process. When you meet somebody, you want to start by getting to know the name of the person. Then you start getting some facts like ( general appearance )  and language or a picture or other ( variations in ) feature . . . When you get to know somebody, you start by asking the name, the facts and what you can observe. When you ask a little bit more you get in touch with the other person’s feelings and how he experiences things, so then you feel you know the person a little more in depth. But then you are not happy with that. You want to know the person deeper, not only when he gets angry or sad, but how he reacts to reality. What is real ( to the entity ) ? What is his view of life? Where does he see himself in relation to the rest of the world? But then you realize that even at that level, there is something even deeper than that yet. And then you see that behind this perception there is an experience. He experiences something within himself that is not only how he looks mentally, but how he really experiences it and that experience is even deeper than perception – something really at the center of his being. So, the findings on the sensation level is nothing that happens over night, but has been a process of trying to know the other person or yourself at deeper and deeper levels. And one level led to the other led to the other, led to the other, led to the other.., and now I see that there is a way to understand somebody at a deeper level.
Quantum Vista :  A Philosophy of Perspective .
( POL Magazine ) What do you think homeopathy is teaching us about the universe?
( RS ) It is not telling you something about something or giving you a theory of something, but it is telling you that if you want to know something how can you know it? The processes of proving the remedies and case-taking in the clinic are just two expressions of the core homeopathic approach to knowing. You know remedies by experiencing them. You know patients by going into the experience of the patient. And therefore the same approach applies to anything, whether it is the universe or something else. If you really want to know what the universe is and what it is about, you just have to observe it, to look at it, and to experience it within yourself rather than think about it or theorize about it.  That is the approach that homeopathy emphasizes. Not as something that prompts theories, but something that says truth is what is and something that can be experienced and something that can be observed .
Homeopathy :  An Attitude of Transformation .
( POL Magazine ) What is it that makes you a Homeopath?
( RS )  I think the term homeopath itself is an expression in  a way. I don’t see that I am a homeopath. I just want to observe, to see what Is – to look. And I am very happy to know that I am not exclusively borrowing from someone else’s ideas or theories ( and repackaging it as a brand ). And to have my own experience about my self and to let the other person have the experience about themselves. And to look at the phenomena ( Of Realities ) as they are and look at them with greater and greater ( process of ) refinement every day. And to experience it really . . .  - and you want to know that experience as a ( undiluted experience of ) truth. I think homeopathy for me is an expression of this basic attitude.
To the Best of My Efficiency : The Final Relevance .
( POL Magazine )  In the future, how do you see homeopathy developing?  –
( RS ) I have no thoughts about the future because future itself is in the realm of imagination . There is no reality ( that i know of myself ) , it's a theory. . . .  maybe there is . . .  maybe not .  So what is important for me is to be in this moment, to look, to watch , and to see what i can do best . To what depth can I reach - at this moment , at this juncture , and I believe that is the only thing I can do . And if I keep doing that to the best of my efficiency , the future will shift the way it should .
The Perspective of the Spirit :  A Philosophy of Living .
( POL Magazine ) What do you think is the key to health? Does it begin with perspective? If so is this perspective
developed or advanced by the homeopathic tradition?
( RS ) The key to health is to recognize that there are more isolated problems ( than “one total solution in a Quantity ” ), that there is nothing that stands out without being a part of something bigger, when there is a part of something that is not functioning properly – whether it be the heart or the lung - or whatever it may be, that this malfunction is an expression or a part of something that is not working in the entire organism. That this malfunction is expressing all parts of the being - the mind, body and spirit. Everywhere. So the first step to health is the recognition that the problem is not outside, but inside of us. The problem is not in a part but in the whole of us, and can be seen in the whole of us.  And also that the problem of the single human is not isolated from the problem of the entire humanity. So to see this vision is the first step towards health, and then to recognize what is the individual issue or the problem, to see it within and to see what is the collective problem or collective issue. But - again - to see it not as a theory but to feel it, to observe it, to have almost a meditative experience of it. Often with the help of somebody else, maybe the homeopath, with a remedy or whatever - and to introspect, to become aware of the internal malfunctions, disturbance, pattern – whatever you may call it. To recognize it, to see it, to become aware of it - not to give it a label, a classification, but at a deep level to observe it and this process can be much enhanced by giving the homeopathic remedy that reflects the internal pattern from an external reality. That remedy only reflects who you are and helps you become more aware at a deep conscious level. So these are the steps to health. Recognition of what is disease and the awareness to this matter within and to take the appropriate homeopathic remedy can enhance this process.
The Spiritual Perspective :  A Philosophy of Living .
( POL Magazine  ) What exactly is the homeopathic tradition? What is homeopathy?
( RS ) Homeopathy is basically a system of medicine based on the law that the pattern that you have inside has a reflection in nature and the substance in nature is given to the person in a diluted form can cause healing. We have remedies with their symptoms and their characteristics, and we need to match which one is needed by the patient by studying who he is. So the study of the patient and the study of the remedies in as much dept as we can, is the tradition of homeopathy.
( POL Magazine ) If you were to prescribe a homeopathic  remedy for your Self, which remedy
would you prescribe for yourself and why?
( RS )   It is very difficult to prescribe a remedy for yourself. It is difficult because it is difficult to observe and to be the observer at the same time. It is almost mandatory to have external help in the form of a colleague, to point out and to guide you, to see what is going on within you - and helps you in the process, because we tend to ignore certain things within us which is quite common that we have taken for granted rather than to see that they could be an expression of some thing deeper. I do take the help of colleagues to find a remedy to myself. And of course, being a homeopath, it is
important for me that the remedy should ring truth within me and should be able to ‘ Show ’ its rightness and then I take it.
( POL Magazine ) Do you have any advice for homeopaths in Europe ?
( RS ) I think there are 3 important things. The basics are very important. The basics are the philosophy, the repertory and the materia medica. The case study of the repertory makes it a very useful tool to practice. The good knowledge of the keynotes, to know the symptoms of each remedy – the peculiarity of the characteristics.  It is an essential, fundamental basis, which the student can be confident with. They also need to study the recent advances in which these fundamental things happen, put in proper paradigms, in proper frameworks in the form of systems, in the form of kingdoms, in the form miasms in the form of levels. Newer techniques of understanding remedies have developed. So many new remedies have come into homeopathy. It has been quite a big explosion over the last 15-20 years. The student must be aware of this and study that in parallel with the original and fundamental knowledge – and they compliment each other. These two things studied in parallel needs to be valued. The problem nowadays with students is that students sometimes gives less value to original books - the repertory and material medica, and the fundamentals then are not strong. This can be a huge handicap in practice. If you have solid symptoms that have been used for 200 years, you can rely on that. So my advice to students would be: study very diligently
basic books and in parallel study the new ideas and together they will be double equipped to go into practice. And of course what is more important is clinical training, observing good people in practice – for case taking technique, because after knowledge comes art of healer technique. That is something that you need to learn by watching. It is a great opportunity to be a homeopath, because in the practice of homeopathy you not only give a unique service to your fellow man, but you are also developing a huge awareness within yourself – a self- development. You are also embracing all branches of knowledge, whether it is psychology, sociology, botany, art, music etc. Nothing is out of the homeopathic spectrum, so it is something that puts you in touch with so many branches and brings it all together in a unified way. It’s very satisfying as an opportunity and I think it is one of the nicest places to be.
