I think the fallout fandom needs to learn how to drop the word 'savage' when talking about wasteland communities just like... as a rule

The one thing I genuinely dislike about Fallout is Tribals and how they're presented. Dripping in both the visual aesthetics and filled with racist stereotypes of Native Americans. But when you bring that up to the fandom they get so fucking mad.

Like I still love Fallout, but I think we need to be able to point at that shit and go "That's fucking racist."

don't ship ghoulcy/vaultghoul and I absolutely don't hate it either, but I will say the people who do, seem to be a total coin flip.

like,, I'll see one post about how lucy brings out the humanity in the ghoul and the ghoul brings out the survivalist in lucy and the whole finger thing, and I'll think "dang!! their dynamic has potential!! i can totally imagine them balancing eachother out and warming up to eachother to the point where lucy likes the ghoul and the ghoul cares about lucy!! I suppose from there they could develop a mutual romantic and/or sexual attraction!!"

then 2 minutes later I'll see the most diabolical vile 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝓲𝓬𝓲𝓸𝓾𝓼 "sexy hardass toxic bad boy x helpless lady plaything he practically drags around on a noose" ghoulcy post and then I wonder if some of you actually like the ship or you just like the thought of the ghoul being a sexy hardass toxic bad boy

this isn't me attacking the ship or saying it's bad or invalid,

I have a pretty neutral opinion on it, however I will say that if you're gonna ship ghoulcy go ahead and give a little thought to the developing of their chemistry. even if you want them to be kinky freaks, maybe try to imply a "warming up/learning how to get along" stage. after lucy starts actually liking the ghoul i could totally imagine her wanting to try having sex with him and then from there depending on how you view them, the ghoul can either be gentle and caring because he's learned how to appreciate good things again or he can teach lucy the ropes [[CRINGE PUN INTENDED]] of getting positively 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓴𝓲𝓬𝓲𝓸𝓾𝓼 and lucy ending up being excited to learn new things

TL;DR: some ghoulcy/vaultghoul shippers seem more focused on the ghoul rather than the ghoul & lucy's actual relationship and dynamic potential, i feel ghoulcy should either mutually want to live happily ever after or mutually want to have rough exhausting kinky sex.

with all that said, I beg of you to keep in mind, that I don't care if/how you ship ghoulcy/vaultghoul, I am not targeting or attacking anyone, and this is just a completely self serving rant because I feel like it. have a nice day.
