Those of you who have been around these parts for any length of time know my affinity for 1960s fashion, and ever since I made over the Scooby Doo gang in medieval revival for Halloween last year I've been hung up on tackling a recolouring project in that style. And thus the MERRY MODIEVAL collection was born! The collection consists of three dresses, a hat, a necklace and a belt, all designed with that special retro medieval flair in mind. Some time ago I made a little chart of the specular colours I’ve personally used for different materials -- just for future reference. I am beyond chaotic with my files and having this all compiled has honestly been very helpful. I thought I’d quickly just share it, because why should we all suffer trying to figure tthis out?

If RGB spec values feel like black magic to you, or you have no idea what I’m on about, I recommend you go educate yourself with .@teanmoon’s blog post here (it's spectacular! Especially this pic. A life-altering find for younger me).

Also, PSA: edit your alpha layer! The whiter, the more shine. I usually slap my texture in there as well, crank up the contrast, down the brightness and call it a day. (By calling it a day I mean going in game 5-10 times to test and adjust thereafter)

Should I drop a full tutorial on how I make spec maps + tricks and tips, or...?
