yes, and no. the big events that really set of the storyline are being reserved until we get four more applicants. right now, we are having more petty interactions that won't affect the plot in a huge way!

no! once we get more roleplayers the action with the laws and such will come into play. the current plan is to have another attack involving a super powered human and cause that to bring more life threatening things, such as hunters or government workers.

SOMEONE HAD ONCE asked viktor how he became a villain so young. i guess everything about the mad hatter screamed childish. the personality, the theatrics, his voice, his height. even with the mask and the outfit, he was clearly very young. once, when he had gone out on an attack of his own, unaccompanied by winter, he found himself robbing a toy store. mostly for the headline and the irony.

the woman who had been manning the cash register asked him if he was crazy, and why why WHY WHY, even as he slaughtered the others in the store, she cried and begged and asked why.

viktor thought about that as he went home. winter had something to do with it. definitely. he probably would've stayed out of fights altogether if she hadn't kept pushing and pushing and pushing. calling him all sorts of names and saying he'd make a great sidekick when both knew that viktor was easily more powerful than winter could ever hope to be.

he found pleasure in his first kill. it was a politician who maintained all shots were dangerous and should be killed at their first sign of a power. he didn't like that. so, he and winter killed her. tied her up with green silk scarves and put a little tophat on her for theatrics. then, winter made viktor electrocute her. saying that he needed to establish himself.

it went downhill from there.

we ask that you follow the rules of the universe. if your character has an uncommon ability or a psychic ability that has not been studied, then they will have little control over it. and vice versa.

when you are given the link to the discord server, please join asap. you will be given other vital information to continue.

activity is not rigid. HOWEVER, if you claim a villain character or a skeleton character, you will be held to a higher standard of expected activity, since these characters are vital to the plot.

after five days of no activity we will ask you if you are still interested. if we receive no response within three days, the character will be removed or changed to a skeleton selection.

PLOT!

THE FIRST KNOWN attack by a shot was in 2006. it was also the first known event in which the widespread public gained knowledge of shots.it was committed by a teenage delinquent, who’s name has been kept from public records, who was pyrokinetic, aka the ability to manipulate and create fire at will. after escaping a local jail for a minor infraction, he reportedly went to a nearby hospital which house long-term patients and was one of the largest in the areas and was responsible for causing the building to not only burn, but collapse, and targeted those who managed to escape before the fire caused harm to them as well.the only know survivor of the attack was also kept a secret. her name has been wiped from all public records for both safety and personal preference. she was known only as gloriosa and was the only survivor from the attack. she suffered severe burns and multiple broken bones and worked as a part-time nurse at the hospital.

AFTER THE ATTACK, it became commonplace for shots with destructive abilities or abilities that had not been discovered or studied to turn to crime. since regular law enforcement was typically unable to prevent the attacks, many other shots took their place, and the fights became casualty free, since many shots often worked together with abilities such as accelerated healing and telekinesis. eventually, it became legal, and a public event. it’s considered a privilege to live in a city with high gloriosa attacks and to see the fights that took place. law enforcement was soon prohibited from intervening with gloriosas altogether, and were ordered to call whatever shot that was in the area.

HOWEVER, AFTER THE the assassination of caroline harveys, a politician who maintained that the fights were dangerous and a public humiliation for both law enforcement and the public government, many other politicians have become more urgent that the government should spend more time and energy working against gloriosas and learning to both eliminate the genetic mutation found in shots rather than encouraging the fights. on top of the murder, many of the more notorious gloriosas who typically evade capture have started taking more civilian lives and raising the rate of escapes through tactical attacks and more tailored fights to the shot in the area.

BECAUSE OF THIS, the legality and morality of these fights and the existence of shots themselves has become a commonplace and worldwide debate amoungst world powers. in fact, there are rumors that certain organizations are attempting to capture well known shots.
