Mary is a healer who comes to our sanctuary once a week to work on some of our cats. Her assistant is Moe, the grey and white kitten.

11 cats are being sterilized today at Animal Central, Nagoa.

8 girls

3 boys

8 of these cats are our own, rescued as kittens and have now grown up- Nikki, Meeshu, Rajma, Chaval, Pinky, Teli, Pilot and Smallie.

Blackie was put to sleep yesterday.

In May he was bitten by a toxic insect, probably a centipede.

The infection refused to subside inspite of the range of antibiotics, steroids, homeopathy and supports.

The tumour destroyed his nasal cavities, ate into his facial bones and made its way into his brain.

He rests in the garden near Logan and Baatli.

Keep your pets away from insects. You don't know what they might do.

Sarojini, our staff member found a box with a kitten in it near the koppel(chapel) near our house.

We have retrieved several cats and kittens from there...Surya and her 4 kittens, another mother cat and her kittens and several before.

Baby kitten is a girl.

I dislike sewing.

It's not my thing. But someone has to repair our cat beds.

Little kitten gives me company and moral support while I do this much needed but unpleasant job.

*Procedures- Miss Tulip had eye enucleation and dental scaling done at PAWS Panjim.

It rained like mad and is still raining like mad

Current situation at 11.40 am

It's boiling hot

There's a power cut.

Some humans are scurrying about cleaning the house

Other humans are measuring out meds and forcing them down our throats.

Life is hard

8 of our cats had dental scaling and extraction done yesterday.

3 cats, 1 owned and 2 strays also got neutered

Meet our newest admission...a handsome, dignified, chonky little man.

More than 2 months ago he was found at Torda lake with a rotten paw.

PAWS - Panjim Animal Welfare Society took good care of him, then he came to us, minus one leg, neutered and vaccinated.

Thank you to the young lady who found and took him to PAWS.

And thank you PAWS for saving another life.

He doesn't have a name yet, so name suggestions are welcome.

*Duster kitten found near our house

*Zima adult cat, dumped at Bicholim market, fostered by Jayant and Shradha

*Neo and Fifi, surrendered by owners due to genuinely difficult family circumstances

Deaths- 4 FPV struck again. We lost Nimbu, Masala, Chutney and Pepsi

Recovering from FPV- Cola and kitten Pepper

Neutered- 10 altogether, 6 girls, 4 boys

Yesterday we took in this little cutie from my neighbour. I believe she entered her house and her cats were hostile.

So here she is..all 750 grams of feisty, playful kitten.

I have vaccinated her and am hoping she does not catch a virus before her second dose.

The good doctor was here.

She crooned to them. She listened to their hearts and lungs, she felt their bellies, spleens, kidneys, lymph nodes, glands and skull bones.

She made notes.

She told stories and we laughed.

We had a good time.

We have many cats with low immunity, some with chronic and acute respiratory issues, kidney and gingivitis, cancers and skin problems.

We are also a shelter where a simple thing like a cough can spread like wildfire.

So it's good to have a qualified, experienced person come in once a week to assess, examine and prescribe.
