I finally finished Clair Obscur Expedition 33 over the weekend after finishing all the side content and it's a great game with a strong vision and absolute banger of a soundtrack. Thematically it's similar to some of my favorite games of all time and I really appreciate that it feels much more concise than a lot of open world sand boxy epics these days.

That said, I'm not fully satisfied with how things ended and while I respect the vision, the third act feels much messier than the rest. I won't post spoilers right now because most people I know haven't finished it yet, but there's a weird gnawing feeling I was left with. Overall though I had a very good time with it and have spent a considerable amount of time thinking about the world they created during work hours and travel. Which really, is one of the nicest things I can say about a game.

Anyway, the most important thing though is that Maelle is sooo daughter shaped and important and she must be protected at all costs. Also, really have to hand it to them because they dropped one of my favorite characters in the entire cast 80% of the way into the story, gave her like 10 lines at most, and then locked everything else about her behind some extremely cunty side content and I respect that so much. She's insane in the best way and I'm obsessed with her.

The fear that links them is like a barbed wire pulling at her heart, so loud with the moon so full. Vi wishes she knew how to return the feeling, to send reassurances down the line so Caitlyn could know her wolf is alright and on her way. She holds tight to the feeling inside herself, clutching at their connection even though it aches.

Maybe Caitlyn can feel that much at least, the pain of Vi reaching out her hand, to know that help is on the way.
