My favourite kind of Winx rewrite is when the girls are a group of mentally ill and unmedicated teenagers barely holding themselves together 😌

I don’t know how bad you want it to be, but I definitely gave them more mental struggles. Some worse than the others.

Unrequested delusional rant under the cut

Bloom being rejected by her classmates made her very unsure of herself around others. So even if she feels she is living a dream, she thinks she is just one bad step away from making the Winx reject her too. This affects her powers too, making them unstable.

Stella is in denial of her life not being perfect as it was supposed to be. She is a princess after all. She doesn’t want to accept she does not have moon powers and why that could be. 

Flora has a lot of expectations placed on her, but she really does not want to do them. She wants to find her own way of doing things, but she was given only one chance to do so. She is constantly afraid she is going to fail and a role she does not want will be forced upon her.

Tecna got so used to being disconnected from people, it was easier that way. Until someone around her got hurt, she realized she didn’t want to be that type of person, so she is trying to connect with people by putting a lot of effort.

Musa really cares about people and is very protective, but she keeps everyone at arms length. Her powers need her to open her heart, and she does not want anyone to know whatever is going on inside her. That’s why she uses her powers to push people away instead of inviting them in.

I really liked Aisha when she was introduced. Her insecurities and anxiety about all the expectations and responsibilities that conveys being a princess (totally opposite to Stella) Trying to find herself, but never forget the role she eventually has to play.

Hi, i love all your winx stuff, it's so cute and interesting. I'd love to see your take on deepening their powers, you have such great ideas

I’m having way too much fun expanding on this AU (if it can even be call that).

I would love to explore a magic system more. I don’t remember if the one from the show was very clear.

Ok, so here is what I came out for the Winx.

Bloom has the least experience with her powers, so her attacks are very basic, but effective.

Fireball, lunge, fire wall. She can also manipulate fire around her and is fire-proof.

Dragon flame.

Stella. Doesn’t have moon powers, doesn’t want to talk about it. She is very powerful and even more when using her scepter. Her main weakness is that she is impulsive and reckless, and she is physically weaker, so she runs out of energy.

Flora's powers are really soft, so for combat she has to get creative. Binding roots, she spreads seeds that sprout and bind enemies. She can talk to plants, they can help.

Tecna’s powers are very versatile. She uses enhancing crystals to make magic more efficient. They can absorb some attacks and redirect them, create shields and fire laser beams. Without crystal, she could also do the shield and laser, but less effectively.

She can also use them to “hack” into different things and use them as drones. 

Her physical endurance is low, so she makes it the most efficient possible. 

Musa. She mainly uses sonic speed to move and punch and kick with tremendous force. The hit also causes temporal disorientation and ear ringing. Can also summon a microphone and speakers to hit with a death metal scream.

She can sing, but refuses to do so. If it resonates with her heart and while the song lasts she has complete control. Changing the environment, manipulating people, getting special powers. Some can be permanent. Bad side effect: people could get addicted to her voice and demand her to keep singing, and instead of her being able to control them, they just get further in the trance. She has to practice hard to make sure her powers don’t hit too hard. 

The type of song she sings would determine her powers. 

She can break Darcy’s control since her controlling powers are stronger. 

Aisha. I’m making her half fairy, half mermaid. She has control over water, but since she is from warm waters, she cannot freeze it. And she is weak to cold. Because of her dancer's background, all her movements are very fluid and graceful. 

Morphix is very versatile. It can be a solid or a liquid. Aisha usually carries it as accessories. For battle, she uses it as a shield, or even a harpoon. If she doesn’t have access to water, she uses morphix, but it is not a big volume. It is particularly useful underwater. 

I hope it makes sense. It is funny how distorted headcanons can go after a while.

I love you Bloom, I’ve forgotten how much everything revolved around her, it gets a bit annoying. The Show should have been called Bloom and the Winx. Musa, Tecna and Flora have so little going on.

I started watching the Winx Club after so many years, I have thoughts.

I know that Bloom is the protagonist, but why everyone is following what she says, she didn’t even knew magic existed a week ago…

Do you have any further ideas for your charmix buff??? Like lore or mechanics 👀

Well, charmix in the series is obtained when the girls overcome a limitation. I like that but more like overcoming something they fear or don’t accept about themselves, anything that could hold them back. 

I love giving characters emotional crises <3

As for mechanics, making attacks more powerful and getting new ones, nothing fancy.

The first one I thought about was Musa, getting a headset microphone. In the show she never sings. I imagine her singing greatly affecting people around her for good or bad, so she avoids it. 

For Stella, I wanted her scepter to transform into one where she could actually use moon powers. I have lots of headcanons for Stella, so I won’t go further into it.

Tecna gets a headset and visor for better accuracy and stronger attacks. I would really like to deepen the girls' power system, but I don’t know if that would be interesting.

For the rest I’m still indecisive.

Ok, hear me out, Charmix, but instead of a brooch and purse they get an accessorie specific to the girls’ powers. Musa gets a microphone, Stella a new crosier, something like that.*

I’ve been listening to Ado and this doodle went too far.

Also, I decided that this the “Italian AU” where Bloom was raised in Italy and everything is different 👍

Gotta admit that she was my least favorite, in between her fashion and actitud, I could watch some episodes again to see if I still feel the same. Technomagic is a really interesting concept thou.

Since she is a bit apathetic I made her cute, I don’t know why this makes sense in my head. Might add a reblog with some rambling.
