Idk if anyone still follows this account anymore, but in case I have any Tumblr-only readers, still wanted to let you know. I do have a few other Sims-related things in the works that I might put up here and my CC blog, but for the most part, I don't see myself coming back to tumblr. (Un?)fortunately, my sanity and especially my dignity have benefitted too much from bowing out. I miss and am grateful to a lot of y'all, so maybe I'll come back someday 💙

Do you have custom objects (or maybe even Maxis objects) that are not able to be quarter-tile placed, but don’t have the time to painstakingly go through every file to change the values? 

Do you have a handful of objects that you need to put down constantly, but it wasn’t enabled in the catalog to do so? 

Does that small custom plant sit fine on the table, but wish for your Sims to actually eat at the table (not with food in hand) while the plant sits upon it? 

Tired of cars crashing into each other, puddles stacking, etc. and you didn’t grab the hotfix yet?

alfixes Replacement Project - Extracted Fixes and more!

Tired of the many conflicts with alfixes? Can't put up with Pescado hiding features in his mods? Then this might be of your interest.

Alfixes is something that has bothered me for a while, ever since I found out that it deletes date cards. No wonder I've barely seen them in game!

With Charity's incredibly thankful documentation on the topic, we now have a compiled list of mods to fully replace the few documented (cough) features that weren't already fixed by EAxis in Mansions & Gardens/later patches/Ultimate Collection. What you'll need to download is...

(List under the cut. Also stick around for my own extracted features, which I haven't found corresponding mods for.)

Tunaisafish's Enthusiasm Overhaul (which among many other things, also stops the hobby enthusiasm from decaying when playing in other households);

Simler90's Matchmaker Fix (she will behave properly when showing up at community lots);

AncientHighway's Love Potion Restock Fix (the game does not incorrectly restock it as a nice potion);

Gummilutt's M&G Physiology Fix (no longer maxes out the Body skill when working out after learning the skill);

BoilingOil's Skill While Tinkering (NOT included in alfixes, but mentioned/linked in Charity's thread);

Tunaisafish's Get Parents Fix (NOT even mentioned in Charity's thread, but this an essential corruption fix to a problem that got even worse in Apartment Life. alfixes DOES address the bug, but I didn't need to extract it because Tuna already did a much better job, from scratch).

I think cis people should also be their gender of choice. Like, if you're a man, you should get to really enjoy being a man- have fun with it! If you're a woman, take the parts of womanhood that really deeply make you happy. If being a little androgynous or ambiguous or hidden is the part that really makes you happy, you don't have to be trans for that. If you wanna lean really hard into being femme or masc- do it! You have one life in your body, do what makes you happy. Ditch the stuff you don't like.

My sinister queer agenda is I think that everyone should be the gender they like in the way they like it.

TS2 has so many little details and quirks in just about every aspect, but my favorite has got to be the birds you can hear chirping when you use the terrain paint tool. Like, someone was just outside trying to record a spraypaint sound to use and accidentally recorded some birds in the background and now those birds are just. immortalized in a 2004 video game. and i think that's great
