I haven’t been drawing for a while (aside from the personal art project I’ve been working on for God but I’ve had ups and downs with it if I’m being transparent- but I know it’ll be finished eventually.) and as I’ve gotten back into doing art again since yesterday(other than the project), this was a piece that I’ve been wanting to make. Listening to the song Eclipse Of The Heart, I could see Jesus in the lyrics. How he calls out and tries to get our attention while we ache and hurt. I know it’s a secular song, but honestly tell me you can’t hear and see it too? Jesus calling out and trying to get you to turn to him. When making this I had Revelations 3:20 stuck on my heart. The song reminded me of this verse but also how we can even push Jesus out. (Hence “Turn around, bright eyes”- calling out.) If you’ve been far from God, distant, hurting…wondering…he’s KNOCKING. WANTING to be let back in-(whether it be something you’re purposely keeping him out/away from, a situation…or maybe your life in general right now. Or maybe it was an accident-) So in a way, closing your heart off from him. (Thus, the black heart.) Please let him back in and let him fill every part of you that’s been aching and NEEDS him. He wants you to look at him. Everything you’ve been dealing with by yourself HE CAN HELP YOU. There’s no where he can’t find you.<3 (as in no matter where you’re stuck or whatever dark place, he can meet you there.)

Revelations 3:20

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.”

Sorry if the words feel scrambled..hopefully it makes sense enough. Jesus loves you. He really, really does. If you don’t feel it, remember to look back at what he’s done for you. Recount your testimonies and how he’s always been there and showed up for you. His love is on those pages- the Bible, his love is in his actions in what he’s done for you. His love was shown so boldly and unwaveringly in what he did on the cross for us. He LOVES YOU.
