actually since i got a mgadd tp today im gonna complain. in the comics lunella is a 9 year old girl who is incredibly lonely due to her intelligence thats looked down on by adults and rejected by her peers and because of that shes rude and bitter. no one understands her and she doesn't fit in. she reacts to a world that rejects her by rejecting them as well, trying to escape her reality by building a lab underneath her school and applying to universities. she argues with her classmates and adults. devil dinosaur is the first friend she has and its through their bond she learns how to open up and get along with others.
and in the cartoon they make her a 13 year old quirky extroverted girl with a best friend and lovable classmates and a big family that understands her and she has none of the struggles her comic version faced. whatever
#as much as i liked the cartoon we NEED positive rep of young imperfect black kids who fight back so so so bad ESP girls#we need to teach young black girls they dont stop being worthy when they act out against how the world treats them
