KS Chapter 67 (aka The End)

That’s right. It’s officially the end of KS. And it’s surprisingly nondescript. I’m going to assume that we’re meant to believe that Bum gets hit by a car and dies? If that is the case, don’t know why she didn’t just say that.... I personally like the idea that Bum dies at the end. It’s pretty obvious that he just can’t get over Sangwoo or Sangwoo’s death. I think he’ll have trouble hiding his feelings for Sangwoo and will eventually be found at least an accomplice in the murders because of that. 

Also, a lot of questions unanswered. I’m leaving the majority of my thoughts on hold until next week’s creator’s note, since that might shed some light on certain matters, but right now I’m confused. 

This last chapter was really well done right up until the very last moment. I cried during this chapter. Legit sobbed. The scene where Bum drops Sangwoo’s urn and imagines being in Sangwoo’s arm broke me. Those three specific panels haunt me. I can’t get them out of my head.

KS Chapter 66

I miss the interaction that creating posts here had, but c’est la vie. Please do let me know if you read the file on the google drive. I’d make them regardless, tbh, because they’re such a good way for me to understand what’s going on as well as my own thoughts. But it’s nice to be able to talk to other people, too, haha! 

As I said in the file, I don’t know if the next chapter is the last or if we’ll have one more after that. I feel like there are still a number of questions that I would personally like answered, and I’m starting to feel like they might not be. We still don’t even know WHY Sangwoo started killing people to begin with. Even after the deaths of both his parents, he still hadn’t actually killed anyone. So, why the sudden change to serial killer actively hunting down victims? It’s got to be more than just ‘he snapped’ right? It’s been confirmed by this chapter that it’s been 4-5 years since his mother died. What the hell happened between then and now to turn Sangwoo into the mass murderer that he is? I just can’t find the connection between who he was then and who he was at the start of the manhwa. Even after all the abuse; even if his mind snapped; you don’t just become a serial killer. That requires some kind of active choice. So what made Sangwoo CHOOSE to kill? And when did he start?

FYI. So, it seems there will only be two chapters left of KS! All be it super long ones. I’m not sure how I feel about this..... I do think it’s time for KS to come to an end. It’s been a journey and a half and no doubt there will be many unanswered questions (what happened to the women from the ski lodge?! Is she actually dead?!) but it does feel like it’s time. The manhwa has come a long way since chapter 1 and I am so amazed by Koogi’s talent. I look forward to seeing the end when it comes. 

I really hope this image doesn’t count as copyright. I mean it’s a notice, so it should be fine, right?

EDIT: I got paranoid that the notice image would be copyrighted, so I typed out the text from it and made my own version.

KS Chapter 65

Not sure that chapter could’ve been any more dramatic if it’d tried. Pretty sure Sangwoo’s still alive. That man could survive damn near anything. 

I’ve written all my posts now, so I’ll try to have the pdf chapter thought dump up soon. I know this is an incredibly round-about way of posting, but copyright strikes necessitate it. Hopefully, some of you still read my thoughts, haha! 

Also, random question @fictional-serial-killer . Please don’t read this next bit if you haven’t read the chapter and don’t want spoilers. When Bum rubbed his hands together is that some Korean thing I don’t know about? I get the praying gesture, I just wasn’t sure about the rubbing. Also, when Bum was begging Sangwoo not to kill him, was he saying Sangwoo-ya? Thanks as always for all your amazing translation work ^_^ I wish I could add images for clarity, but c’est la vie.

KS Chapter 64 Update (AGAIN!)

I’ve finally done it! All my posts for this chapter are now in the form of one (very long) pdf file. KS Chapter 64 (Update)

So, realistically speaking I can’t keep up with the amount of posts I want to make image-wise. It takes me too long to make each image. It took me a week to finish all the images for chapter 63 and there are even more images this time. But, I have a solution. And it means I can use the actual KS images, too. Obviously, this requires me to post elsewhere or face my blog being deleted. 

My solution is pretty simple. I’m going to make my ks posts into pdfs. I will then upload them to google docs for you guys to read/download as you desire. Now, I’m pretty paranoid about my blog being deleted, so I’m not going to post the google docs link here. Instead, I’ll post it on my twitter account (which is linked on my page). It will take you (hopefully) to my KS posts. 

This is something I’ve literally just decided, so the posts aren’t up yet. I’ll make another post once everything is up and working and I’ll include my twitter link in that post, too. Inevitably, there may be some kinks to work out, but this seems a far better option (imo) than recreating every image as I was. Hopefully, you guys think so, too. 

I know this means using a site outside of tumblr, but if tumblr doesn’t want me posting images, then I inevitably have to post them elsewhere. This will make the process so much quicker and easier for me. Plus, I really miss having the actual images included in my posts. Let’s try this out for now, shall we?

KS Chapter 64

My posts are coming, guys. It just takes a lot longer now that I have to create the images myself. All that bad photoshop takes a surprisingly long time, and there are a lot of posts for this chapter to make images for. 

In terms of my thoughts on this chapter, I’m glad that it seems we’re getting to the crux of the entire manhwa. It seems that Koogi has decided to forego making another season and just decided to make season 3 super long instead. I’m guessing the end of this season will also mark the end of KS, and that is super exciting. It’s been a long ride and I can’t wait to see how it ends.
