Roseshadow slipped on some rocks and twisted his paw.
Playfully following a butterfly outside the camp, Scartangle accidentally steps into a rabbit burrow, severely injuring his leg and letting out a yelp of pain.
Padding along the border, Joker crosses over the clan’s markers, venturing beyond into unclaimed land. Joker swallows, pulling scent over the roof of her mouth, desperately searching…but Skullrot has moved on from the lands just outside the clan’s borders. It's not like Joker wasn't warned; Skullrot herself said she could only stay for so long, but Joker petitions Wormtongue to find her anyway.

Moon twelve, newleaf.
Wormtongue has been following the progress of Zero for months and feels that it is finally time for him to become a warrior. He is honored for his good judgment.
Twigblight becomes an apprentice. In his eagerness, he accidentally shoves his nose into Ichor’s so hard that his new mentor flinches back in surprise. Twigblight sheepishly apologizes and the two have a good laugh about it. Twigblight seems distracted during training, constantly glancing in the direction of the border. Eventually, after Ichor presses him, Twigblight admits that he had a conversation with a kittypet on patrol yesterday, and didn't know whether being friends with a kittypet was disloyal to the clan. Frowning, Ichor sternly asks Twigblight if he'd refuse to fight the kittypet if they trespassed, just because he'd had a conversation with them. Twigblight quickly replies that he would fight them, and Ichor nods in approval. So long as Twigblight is willing to challenge the kittypet if they trespass onto clan territory, that was all that mattered.
Zero hears some odd noises coming from an abandoned house out on the plains. Zero walks into an ambush by a group of rogues and is slaughtered.
Joker finds a loner who is interested in joining the Clan. She banters with the cat a bit, making them feel more welcome. Joker doesn't have to do much convincing. The loner seems happy to join the Clan. His name is Scartangle, and he’s a great campkeeper.
Ratbite will always feel her grief over the loss of Hollowbane, but time has softened it, at least a little.

Killjoy was having a peaceful stroll outside of camp when he was attacked and killed by a fox.
Wormtongue finds Joker, Twigblight’s mother, and makes her an offer. Though Joker has a few questions about sickness and injury, she’s persuaded that clan life is worth it. Joker is a confident lorekeeper.
Carrion goes out on patrol and is ambushed by rogues. The rogues greatly outnumber Carrion and have no trouble killing the lone cat. Her body is discovered the next day, covered in wounds and cold.
Hollowbane takes the next patrol, and meets a similar fate.
Ratbite shakes her head, refusing to believe the news of Hollowbane’s death until she sees her body. Even then, she refuses to accept her death.

Patchwork is killed in her sleep by a snake that had snuck into camp.
Ratbite goes out on patrol alone, where she secretly meets with a loner. Every heartbeat she’s spent with Hollowbane has been uncertain, new, exciting, and as temporary as a flower’s bloom. She isn’t coming home with Ratbite–she’s accepted that–but they can still see each other for as long as Hollowbane lingers near the clan’s borders.
Ratbite petitions Wormtongue to invite Hollowbane in on the next moon.

Moon one, newleaf.
A clan is formed on the edge of the wasteland. Their leader is Wormtongue, a figure of quiet authority and sharp mind. At her side is her deputy, Ichor. His words are few, his tone frigid, yet his lessons carve themselves into the hearts of those that follow him. The healer, Ghost, is cautious by nature but her knowledge of medicine is second to none, and every word he speaks is chosen with precision.
Among the warriors, Dogmeat stands as a sentinel. Stern and unyielding, she demands discipline, her dream-walker visions guiding her in battle and beyond. Her counterpart, Ratbite, is a relentless runner, burdened by a hairless frame and a spine that betray her in moments of need. Bloodthirsty and unrelenting, she pushes past her limitations with sheer will, though whispers carry doubts of how long she can endure.
One fateful day, the clanmates discovered two fragile lives amid the desolation: Patchwork and Zero. Brimming with imagination, Patchwork turns every corner of the camp into a stage for her endless play. Zero, in stark contrast, is a quiet soul--timid, sweet, and drawn to the comfort of others' company. Together, they are the clan's hope, their future waiting to unfold.
The seven of them will do what it takes to survive.
