#ThankYouA3EN Day 2 - First event/ Last event

My first event was technically Alex in Wonderland because I joined on the last day of a revival and did that event, but my first TRUE event was A Tag-Team Halloween, back in July of 2020!  My first limited gacha card was demon Itaru, and I actually bloomed werewolf Tasuku that event.

Then the first event I tiered in was hAve A greAt trip, which I managed to get T5 in despite it being my third ever event and not having the cards for it at all, since it was a Kazu SSR and I was getting at least one copy if it killed me.  Funnily enough, I got my one Kazu copy through the tiering; I never actually made it to the million point mark.  If I had started earlier, I probably could have done amazing since it was apparently a pretty chill event.

My last event was the 2nd anniversary :’) I’m still heartbroken that it’s the last event we’ll get, but I’m grateful that our conclusion feels a lot less out of nowhere than Taiwan’s did or China’s probably will.  I also got T5 in this one so I could finally grab Mushroom Taichi, as well as the Valentine Tsumugi so I could read the cafe bonus story too.

BASILISK. I WAS SCREAMING THE ENTIRE TIME. THEY JUST KEPT USING AARD LIKE THAT WAS DOING ANYTHING??? IGNI IS THE SIGN TO USE AGAINST BASALISKS!! AARD ONLY KNOCKS THEM TO THE GROUND WHEN THEY TRY TO FLY OFF

is it because the whole season kept going on and on about the use of fire magic being forbidden?? because holy shit…that’s the only reason i can think, and they just didn’t want to confuse people who weren’t familiar with anything having to do with the witcher??? “Why are the witchers using fire magic if it’s forbidden?” …im losing my mind, nobody knows what to do with the writing, why are they butchering this “adaptation” so bad?? i truly don’t get it.

oohhhh i just realized they couldn’t have them use igni because then the fight would’ve been over almost instantly and nobody would’ve died and we wouldn’t have been force fed any angst. that’s right. the plot couldn’t have that so we had to make the witchers incapable fighters. like reverse plot armor. right right right. writing 10/10.
