the post literally nobody asked for: HEADCANON HOUR! 

after 5 boys, their final child was the girl that lois wanted for so long (and everyone else tbh) 

once jamie was born, lois had given up any hope of having a daughter; even after the ultrasound confirmed the baby’s gender, she still remained resigned to the idea of being the only female in the house

it wasn’t until their 2nd doctor visit and many late-night conversations with hal that she truly believed their child was indeed a girl 

it was both nothing she had expected & everything she hoped for

despite their initial shock once her pregnancy was announced, the boys were thrilled that they would be getting a little sister (esp. reese and dewey, both of whom made absolutely no effort to hide their excitement)

bc of the high-risk nature of the pregnancy, lois ended up on bedrest for the later part of her 2nd trimester and remained as such for the entirety of her 3rd

she hated every second of it, but the family did their best to support her

francis/piama: he eventually told lois about his new job at amerisys industries & they would both send money home as much as they could

reese: came over every week to watch soap operas with lois, babysit jamie and prepare meals (their relationship improved exponentially once he moved in with craig and started working full time) 

malcolm: checked in as often as his school schedule would allow (he was still bitter about what happened with the job offer, but time & distance eventually healed their relationship, as well)  

dewey: stepped in more with taking care of jamie, taking care with as many house chores as he could and insisted on practices to ensure the safety & well-being of lois and the baby was maintained throughout the pregnancy, to both the annoyance and gratefulness of his parents 

her name: alex (short for alexandra, though she eventually would answer to lex/lexie/alexis/etc. when she grew older, but to her brothers and her brothers alone, to distinguish the fact that she was a girl)

Ok hi sorry this is a bit of a nothing burger of a post, but I want to clarify that, although I make jokes about A Certain Comic, my main problem has nothing to do with shipping discourse. I have opinions on certain things of course, but my main concern is someone being a potential danger to someone or themselves, if not an active danger. Don't expect me to post callouts if it's just "this person ships weird things" because I don't think it's worth the time of day unless the actions of the person are harming real people or if they're in danger of doing so. Harmful things like trying to rationalise abuse, or trying to encourage someone to indulge in something that is detrimental to their health and safety. Things like that
