Moving my blog

I decided to have my SSO-blog as a side blog to my main one instead of a completely separate one, to make things simple. So if you still wanna follow me my new url is @cat-winterfield. Also since this new one is a sideblog it means I can’t follow you from it, so if a weird prog blog suddenly starts following you, that’s me. This blog will still be open.

wow do i love the new area! It reminds me A LOT of the Orkneys, even tho there aren’t or have never been wild horses on the Orkneys. BUT. It’s super windy, there are no trees because it’s so windy, there is a lot of grass, scottish or possibly irish music, AND A STONE CIRCLE. There is a really large stone circle on Orkney, and it’s really cool. Sooo I think we can be pretty sure that this is inspired by some of the northern British Isles. And I love it.

So I was wandering around the backside of New Hillcrest and saw this tree with a sparkle sign.

And I was like, “Okay, this is a new sign, what is it for?” So I clicked on it and:

Like they seriously took that random tree in the middle of the road everyone talked about and did this for it when they moved it. Omg Star Stable.

How Roles in SSO Usually Go

Person 1: My character is the most beautiful girl ever who is the best rider and has won 99999999999 championships

Person 2: My character is even PRETTIER and has been riding since she was 5 and her horse loves her so much her horse won't even let anyone else ride her

Person 3: All the boys fall over my character and she's so pretty and the best rider out of all of you and her dad owns the stables and jorvik and the world and she's super rich

Person 4: my character has no friends and hates herself and self harms and no one likes her but she is the best rider in all of jorvik and no one knows it

Me: My character moved to jorvik and is a beginning rider and she's still getting to know her horse but so far they get along pretty well

*the others gap at me*

Me: I'm out of here. #kthxbye

Den flängiga galoppen

Det ärt något med det engelska fullblodets maxgalopp som stör mig. Den ser flamsig ut där den borde se seriös ut, vilket är väldigt synd för jag älskar att se galoppörer sträcka ut ordentligt. Jag har dock inte kunnat sätta fingret på exakt vad det är som stör mig, förrän jag gjorde den här jämförelsen.

Ni kommer nu få se tre gifs. Den första är på SSOs engelska fullblod, sedan en på en riktig galoppör(Gifen är lånad från Esmeralda Silverforces inlägg om galoppen), och sedan den första gifen igen, fast på halvfart.

Ser ni det också? För jag ser en animerad häst som studsar upp för mycket med rumpan, har en väldigt stel hals och nickar alldeles för mycket med huvudet, vilket ger ett flängigt oseriöst uttryck. (Jag tycker även det ser ut som att den har för korta framben, lol)

Det riktiga fullblodet in action höjer knappt rumpan alls utan vinklar höften bakåt istället för att utvinna maximal kraft i ifrånskjutandet, Halsen hänger på och hjälper till att häva framkroppen framåt och ett huvud som i princip hålls helt stilla: maximal fokus på mål. 

Våra fullblod sträcker på benen rätt, men de har inget fokus, häver sig inte framåt och den kraft de utvinner när se skjuter ifrån med bakbenen går till stor del förlorad uppåt. Återigen önskar jag att ssos animerare faktiskt skulle kunna tänka sig att sitta och titta på rörelsen innan hen gör den. 

En sak som vi dock ska vara glada för vad gäller det engelska fullblodet dock: Till skillnad från övriga nya modeller haltar fullblodet inte i någon gångart vad jag kan se. Om ni ser en gångart i vilken den haltar, snälla säg till mig så jag kan rätta detta inlägget.

SSO Tumblr Community Address Book

Along with the new SSO Community Welcome Blog (Sea’s Introduction Post), a community address book has also been in the works! As you guys have been reblogging the Where is Everyone Post, I’ve been typing your information into an excel sheet. This way we’ll have a full log of all the members and which server they are on when the welcome blog is finished. Now, when someone new joins and wants to follow other SSO blogs or when @rosemarybluevalley asks “Where’s my Cupcake Valley people?” we can just link them to the Address Book~ Edit: The book will be made public for everyone to see~

It isn’t entirely finished, we decided to add a few more sections to give everyone a more complete profile. So now along with Server, URL, and Avatar Name we’re also asking for your:

     Pronouns: We want to make sure everyone’s gender identity is respected        and known if they wish.

     Nickname(s): Completely optional, but make sure your nick name is                approved by Phil in the SSO chat lol

     Membership Status: Mainly for those who wish to find other Non-stasr            players. 

The Welcoming Position is for us to use to list those who have positions for the Welcome Blog. If you’d like to be listed as an Ambassador volunteer or to help (and you’re not already) just let me know in your reblog and I’ll log it :D
