Makes me so sad because adults don't often realise that children are the ones who really /need/ to see it. I mean, there are kids who are inherently queer who grow up in the closet believing that what they feel is wrong or that there is something wrong with /them/ personally. And it's a horrible feeling to think that you don't belong, so it's just as horrible that these relationships are not /allowed/ to be shown- because so much hurt and confusion and self-doubt could be prevented through some necessary representation. (and not to mention lives that could have been saved)

So lately i've been thinking, why would the writers do so many Helena and Rudy parallels this season only to kill off Rudy in the last episode? I mean, this season Helena has redeemed herself, sort of assimilated into the suburbs with Alison and Donnie's help. Why doesn't Rudy get this sort of redemption?

I had been angsting over this inequality when I had the most hopeful of revelations...

If the writers/creators wanted to parallel Helena and Rudy through and through, we must remember that Helena 'died' at the end of Season 1...

... any1 following my train of thought? :)
